Hello Pebbles’ fans! Eva Pizarro there today sharing this tutorial for a quick Back To School project.

When I saw the lovely Woodland Forest collection I fell in love with the cute animals and knew I wanted to do a project that I could enjoy all the time. I haven’t yet jumped into the Planner wagon so this little notebooks are going to be perfect to take notes and make daily To DO lists.

To create the notebooks cut a piece of patterned paper the same dimensions as your printer paper and another paper with the same width but 6 in tall. Gather 10 plain white papers and stack them together.

Bend your two pieces of paper in half and cut a triangle from the smaller patterned paper.

Use some double sided adhesive and attach the paper to the back of your cover. This way you create a pocket on the inside of your notebook!

Put the cover on top of the sheets of paper and use some clips to hold everything in place.

To bind your book use a stapler or a sewing machine. I am using the Staple Board from our friends at We R Memory Keepers, it is very easy to use and you can staple anywhere you want!

Close your notebook and very carefully use a ruler and an exacto knife to create an even edge.

Use some die cuts or other embellishments to decorate. I chose not to decorate too much my notepads just in case I want to put them in my bag.

On one of the notebooks I added some alphas from the Warm & Cozy collection, you could even put a name on it and  create a personalized gift!

Another idea is to use the 3×4 cards from this paper and use them as a message for your cover.

This is the inside of my notebook, with 2 little pockets to hold the papers I need and not loose anything! If you want you can even add more patterned paper pages and add more pockets to your notebooks.

I hope you liked this quick DIY and that you can make them for you of also as gift for a sweet friend!

Hi there!  Renee here today with a few Happy First Day of School gifts I made using the Woodland Forest collection.  The first day of school is always filled with both excited and nervous feelings.  These gifts are perfect for a teacher or a student who can use a bit of happy.  You can fill it with a favorite treat or snack.  Whatever the gift inside may be, they will appreciate it and know you care and wish them well.

I used my 1-2-3 Punch Board and decided to make a 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” box:

  1. I trimmed the Woodland Critters, Woodland Forest, and Apple Cider pattern papers to 10″ x 10″.
  2. I followed the instructions on where to punch and score the papers.
  3. I used the bone folder to fold all the scored lines.
  4. No adhesive needed.  I connected both sets of attachment slits on the box.
  5. Boxes are ready for the Happy First Day of School gifts!  Quick and Easy!

To embellish the boxes, I created simple and super cute tags:

  1. I gathered Wood Veneer Shapes with adorable woodland critters, leaf Die-Cuts, sentiment squares, and pattern papers trimmed to 3″ x 5″ and ½” strips.  I ran the tags through the printer to add the “Happy First Day of School” sentiment.
  2. I adhered the ½” pattern paper strips along the left edge of the tags.  I cut-up the top corners of the tags and used a standard hole punch to add holes to them.
  3. I added the adorable embellishments!

No untying here.  I simply added red ribbons to decorate the tags and added a bit of adhesive to attach the tags to the boxes so that the person receiving the Happy First Day of School gift can just lift the tag and open the box.

DIY Fall Banner

Hello Pebbles friends, Becki here. You guys, I am counting down the days until Fall arrives. I’ve already started decorating my home for my favorite season of the year with this DIY Fall banner. When it comes to creating banners, “my go to tool” is the WRMK banner punch board. I love that tool! It makes creating banners SO easy. I created this DIY Fall banner in less than 30 minutes.

Becki Adams_Fall Banner_1

I used the brand new Woodland forest collection to create this banner. The patterned papers are gorgeous and the die cuts from the ephemera pack made the perfect embellishments for the ends of the banner. I cut the base of the banners out with one piece of patterned paper. Each banner piece is 4×6″ I even used the portion that I cut off the bottom as an accent on the top of the banner.

The letters are simply cut using my electronic die cut machine. I used a very basic font and made the letters really big so they would stand out. I also added some pop dots to the letters.

At each end of the banner I created a little vignette with die cuts. I also used pop dots on the animal die cuts so they would stand out a little bit.

Aren’t those little woodland creatures the cutest? I think they’re adorable! I think every little woodland creature in that die cut pack will make it’s way onto my projects so look for them in upcoming blog posts.

Thanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog today. Happy Fall y’all (almost) . Make sure you snag a few pieces of the Woodland Forrest collection and a banner punch board so you can create your own DIY Fall banner!
