Tis The Season

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. If you live in the United States, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. But now that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is getting all my attention! I like to scrapbook some of the Christmas card photos I get from family, like this one of my daughter and her great pyrenees dog who love playing in the snow. The Merry Little Christmas collection was perfect to use! I love the fun patterns and colors. For this photo, I pulled more of the snowy embellishments, not the Christmas ones. I love how versatile this collection is.

I used a digital cut file for my title Tis The Season, and backed it with a variety of pattern papers and colors. This is a great way to use up scraps of paper. I attached these mittens to my title and added a little bow. The title was then placed on a big snowflake.

I love finding adorable die cut ephemera pieces like this girl wearing a red coat. Since my daughter was also wearing a red coat, I had to use it on this layout. I matted my photo with two different green pattern papers and tore the bottom edge so I could see the white core. The white edges remind me of snowbanks. Take a look at the dimension foam tape gives too.

One of my favorite things about this collection are the tags, like this Happy Holidays tag. These tags would make amazing quick and easy cards too. For this snowy scene, I added some dimension with some stickers and foam dots. Behind the tag you can see two of the washi tapes I layered on the background. There are so many embellishment options with this collection!

If you are interested in my process video, have a look here.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Use A Letter Board To Count Down To The Holidays!

Hello everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who are celebrating today! It’s Monique on the blog sharing how awesome the new DCWV letter boards are! I love counting down to the holidays & other celebrations… I love the air of anticipation and the happy feeling surrounding the holiday season and therefore I love a count down. The new DCWV letter boards are so perfect for this! Like this one I created for Thanksgiving:

Count Down Letter Board Idea by @moniqueliedtke for @PebblesInc.I used a few die-cuts and a sticker from the Heart of Home collection to embellish the board a bit more. As the board has a smooth surface it’s easy to stick stickers or a light adhesive tape to it and remove it again later on (although I did make the stickers a little bit less adhesive by sticking them to my jeans a few times first).

The board measures 16″ x 20″ and comes with 188 one inch characters. There are many coordinating products available to pair with the board like hand-lettered words, icons and other additional letter packs. The black 1″ letters were included in the box with the letter board and the pink 2″ letters are an example of a set of extra letters:

I loved playing with my board and my kids did too!

I just love the different looks of the letters and words!

And just because I wanted to play with my board some more I decided to change the text from “count down to Thanksgiving” into “count down to Christmas”. In no time at all I was done:

Aren’t the Christmas icons fun?! This time I added a few die-cuts from the new Pebbles’ Merry Merry collection!

This board is totally addictive! Every time I find myself near it I want to play with it some more! Can’t wait to hear what you think of it! And just for fun I’m adding a quick close-up of the Christmas layout you in the photo next to the letter board:

I created a Christmas tree in the layout using the paper weaving technique and added a photo from last year with my hubby and the kids. I used lots of  bits and pieces, all from Pebbles’ Merry Merry collection. Such a fun collection!!

This is it for now. Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today and wishing you a happy holiday season!

xxx Monique

Hello!  Renee here to share some DIY Lunchbox Note Cards using the Girl Squad collection.  My girls just went back to school yesterday!  The summer break went by so fast, but I am also anxious to get them back to their “happy place” in their school routine.  You know, whether it’s to calm the first day of school jitters or let them know how proud you are of them on the day of a test, these DIY Lunchbox Note Cards are perfect to include loving words of encouragement…along with their favorite sandwich and snacks.

The 6 x 6 Paper Pad is the perfect start for any card!  I trimmed several different pattern papers to make 3″ x 4″ cards along with one 3″ x 3″.

I trimmed the girls off of the You Got This pattern paper to include them on a few of the 3″ x 4″ note cards.

On the 3″ x 3″ note card, I included three Die-Cut girls with one “You Got This” Sticker.  I added the Washi Tape for a finishing touch along the bottom.  It has great hashtags!

The “You’re Great” ticket, “Yay!” speech bubble, “Good Vibes” sunglasses, and “Time To Shine” burst are all Die-Cuts.  The “Congrats” speech bubble was fussy cut from the 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  I added a couple of flower Stickers to embellish the hair.  When the time is right, use your favorite Pen to write down your words of love and encouragement.

DIY Snowflake Wall Art

Hey there Pebbles friends and fans, Becki here. I am SO excited to share with you a piece of DIY snowflake wall art I created as a part of snowflake week here on the Pebbles blog. I wish that I could say that I LOVE snow and I guess, in a way I do. I think it’s beautiful. I just wish it wasn’t so cold! When we took the Christmas decorations down in our home things looked a little bare. As nice as it felt to have some of the clutter put away I do enjoy having some seasonal decorations up in my living room. I started by gathering a few supplies from my stash of Pebbles goodies.

I grabbed some snowflakes and some stickers from the Winter Wonderland collection as well as some gold foiled Thickers. I chose a piece of blue snowflake patterned paper from the Holly Jolly collection.  This project came together so quickly!

I started by trimming the blue snowflake patterned paper to 8×10. Then I arranged the die cut snowflakes around the patterned paper. Many of them are off the edge of the patterned paper.

Then I added the “let it snow” sentiment with gold foiled Thickers. After adding the sentiment I tucked a few of the snowball stickers around the Thickers.

After I put the DIY Snowflake wall art in the frame I decided that I wanted something that would make the snowflakes stand out a little bit more. Once again, I went to my Pebbles stash and found these large rhinestones that fit perfectly in the centers of a few of the snowflakes.

I love how this cute snowflake frame looks in my living room. I also LOVE that it only took me 30 minutes to create a new winter  decoration for my home. Thanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog today. I’ll see you again soon!

Hello everyone! It’s Monique on the blog today sharing a little last minute Christmas DIY project with you! How are enjoying December so far? I love every minute of it, but sometimes I wish it would be a little less hectic. It doesn’t matter how many lists I make, I always end up with last minute things, like buying just a few more presents or wrapping those last gifts. So for those of you who aren’t done gift wrapping just yet, here’re a couple of bright and colorful gift boxes using Pebbles’ fabulous Holly Jolly collection and the Pillow Box Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers.

Holly Jolly Christmas Gift Boxes made by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #HollyJolly collection from @PebblesInc.

So here’s what you do, gather your supplies: patterned papers for the boxes and something to decorate your boxes like die-cuts, tags, twine, stickers & ribbon. To create the boxes in the photo you have to cut your papers in the following sizes: 4″x 6″, 6″x 6″, 8″x 6″and 10″x 6″:

Following the instructions on the punch board the four papers look like this in no time at all:

Fold the papers and use double sided tape to glue the long/straight side of the box closed:

And now comes the fun part: decorating the boxes!

I totally adore the cute die-cuts in this collection: the elf, santa, the deer, the gingerbread cookie … I just love them all!

And I think it’s fabulous that a whole packet with tags and banners is included in this collection! They are just perfect for those gift boxes!
