Hello everyone! It’s Eva on the blog today, sharing some quick Halloween boxes made with the “This Is Family” papers.

I love to create Halloween treat boxes, I think they are a great handmade gift for someone special! These boxes are very simple and the best part is that you don’t need any special Halloween supplies to create them!

To create these flip top boxes, start by cutting a 9 2/8 x 6 7/8 inch patterned paper. Score it on the long side at 1/2 inch, 3 5/8 inch, 4 7/8 inch and 8 inches. Next, rotate the paper and score on the short side at 1 1/4 inch, 4 3/8 inch and 5 5/8 inches.

Score all the lines and cut the two left section of your box. Cut the lines you see on yellow and score the ones you see on orange.

Assemble your box by gluing the lids. You can use some sharp scissors to cut a triangle on the side of the lid.

Decorate the boxes with black and white cardstock and some monster eyes! The boxes are ready to be filled with your favorite treat!

I added some teeth, eyebrows, horns, spots and even some hair made with a tassel! Kids could help you decorate the boxes, I am sure they can come up with some spooky monsters!

Aren’t these boxes fun? Who says you can’t use a regular collection for Halloween?

Hello everyone! It’s Eva Pizarro on the blog today sharing with you some fun treat boxes made with the new Spooky Boo line from Pebbles.

We always have candy for the kids during Halloween but I always like to give my closest friends some treat boxes during Halloween. These ones are perfect because they are easy, fun and you can make them in just a few minutes.

Start with a 6-inch x 8 1/2 inch paper and use your Trim and Score Board to score at 2, 4, 6 and 8 inches on the long side. And 2, 4, 5.5 inches on the short side.

alt text: Create a fun set of treat boxes for this Halloween with this tutorial from @evapizarrov using the new #SpookyBoo line from @pebblesinc

Cut the bottom lines and trim the piece of paper you see on the left (I traced the lines with blue so you can see them better)

Place a bit of glue to your tab and close the box in half to adhere the tab to the other end of the box.

Next, add a bit more glue to the bottom of the box and close all four sides.

Finally, take the tops and close them like a milk carton using a clip.

To decorate my boxes I used some stickers, die cuts and those cut spiders! You can also cut a patterned paper that has tags and use them to embellish your boxes!

Now all you have to do is fill the boxes, I used sweets for these photos but you can add some good chocolates, I am sure everybody is going to appreciate that Halloween treat!

And here are all my boxes done, they are cute and very easy to make. You can give them to coworkers or also put names and use them as place cards for a Halloween party, that would be fun!

Quick Gift: Candy Corn Treat Boxes

One of my favorite things about Autumn is that it’s the beginning of TREAT season!  Seriously, I think I consume more sugar from October to December than the entire rest of the year combined! Candy Corn kicks it off for me – I love it!  So, naturally, since I find inspiration in things I love…that’s how these little “Quick Gift: Candy Corn Treat Boxes” came to be!  I’m going to fill them up with candy (perhaps even candy corn) and give them to a few special people!

Here’s how you can make these candy corn inspired treat boxes too!

Start with a “carrot” cut file from the Silhouette store.  Use your software to remove the hole in the top of the carrot – now you’re left with a long, skinny triangular box.  Cut from cardstock.

Cut a template of the front of the box from a scrap of cardstock – then cut it into three pieces – one for each color on the candy corn! Now use the template to cut three pieces of patterned paper:

Place the patterned paper on the front of the box.

Add additional embellishments – I love the little cards from the 6×6 paper pad for this project.  I also added some printed die cuts with foam adhesive, and a even some puffy stickers on some of my boxes.

Now fold it up into the box shape and fill it full of treats!

That’s all there is to it!  You can make one, or a dozen – they really are quick and easy!

OH, and while you’ve got out your Halloween supplies, consider making a fun little Halloween banner with the mini letter punch from We R Memory Keepers – it’s a fun little decoration to add to your home this month!

Quick “Beach Days” Gift

I don’t live near an ocean, but I am lucky enough to live within 10 minutes of two reservoirs where we love to ski and fish and boat and swim!  Unfortunately, these reservoirs don’t have dreamy beaches filled with white sand – they are mostly rocks and gravel and mud – but they are definitely lots of fun and I’m grateful for the cold water we can find there in the heat of the summer! Speaking of summer and beaches, I wanted to put together some quick little gifts for some friends – and this is where I landed: cute pail and shovel gift boxes!

Would you like to make one (or several) too?  They are so easy – here’s how!

First, using a digital cut file, cut a pail from some summery, happy paper:

Assemble the box.

Cut a coordinating handle.

Add it to the paper pail with coordinating brads.

Now cut a shovel from paper and embellish the shovel with a nice phrase (cut from one of the 2×2 “happy thoughts” squares), and add an anchor from the die-cut ephemera pack with colored jute:

For the finishing touch, add some fringe tape to the inside of the top of the paper pail:

That’s it!  Now the paper pail is ready to be filled.  Add some sunscreen, sunglasses, goggles, OR some delicious treats – salt water taffy seems appropriate!

These little pails are quick and easy to whip up – so if you’re making one, you might as well make a bunch!

Happy Summer!

Everyday Box

Everyday Treat Box

These little pre-made foiled gift boxes are just the cutest size and perfect to have handy when you’re in need of a quick gift. Now that Valentine’s is over, you may still want to send some Hugs & Kisses to a friend without the chocolate and candy and these gift boxes are perfect to do just that.

The hardest part about assembling the box was choosing which design to use. They’re all adorable!

I embellished the outside of the box with Ephemera Shapes, twine and a gold metal clip.
