Happy Birthday Cards

Hi, Renee here today to share some lovely Happy Birthday cards using the very lovely Tealightful collection.  Since I’m celebrating my own birthday today, I thought it only fitting to create a few Happy Birthday cards.  I love creating cards with a bit of whimsy.  These cards are perfect for spring or summertime birthdays and great for any age!

I started my Happy Birthday cards by first Zazz!-ing up these adorable Die-Cuts and making them sparkle.  They dried pretty quickly.

  1. I created standard A6 cards which measure 4 ½” x 6 ¼”.  I trimmed the Teacups, Delicate Lace, and Floral Patchwork pattern papers to 4 ¼” x 6″ and adhered them to the card bases.  I cut out a 3″ circle window in each card using a template and trimmer from my stash of tools.
  2. I fussy cut leaves from the Lovely Lilacs pattern paper and adhered them around the windows of each card.  I also added pretty floral Puffy Stickers among the fussy cut leaves.
  3. I used the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Styleboard Die Set to add pretty bows to embellish each card.
  4. I centered and adhered the adorable Die-Cuts into each card window using Foam Dots.
  5. I centered and added the “Happy Birthday” Rub-Ons for my sentiments.

Here are close-up photos of each of the Happy Birthday cards.  I LOVE the adorable “animals in the teacups” Die-Cuts.  I cannot get over how adorable they are!  I love the sweet sparkle added to each of the die-cuts using the Icicle ZAZZ! Glitter Glue.  For this card, I used the Graceful Swans pattern paper for the bow embellishment.  Love how quick and easy it is to add the rub-ons for the sentiments.

For this card, I used the Fresh Picked pattern paper for the bow embellishment.  I changed up the rub-ons from black to gold on this card.  I just thought the gold would look pretty with the blue.  And, it did!

A Tealightful Layout

Hi Pebbles friends, it’s Monique here sharing a “tea with friends” layout using the fabulous Tealightful collection. Last year my daughter and I went over to the UK to spend a few days sight seeing and to meet up with friends in London. They had booked us an afternoon tea in a delightful little bakery in Hammersmith where they served some delicious award winning cupcakes. This photo of the four of us just had to be scrapped, but until now I hadn’t found the right collection. And then Pebbles came with the Tealightful collection! It couldn’t have been more perfect! Here’s what I created for today:

An afternoon tea kind of layout made by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #Tealightful collection from @PebblesInc.

I started my layout by selecting all the tea related die-cuts. Look how many there are to choose from!

I selected a few to create a little cluster at the bottom of my page. My very favorite die-cuts are the teacups with the little critters in them. Aren’t they adorable?!

For the right side of my photo I chose another animal in a teacup, but also a few non-tea related die-cuts because I felt that especially the brown color of the tree trunk was a nice touch to add to all the pastel colors of the rest of the page.

Next I selected a few papers to go with my photo, this was easy as almost all the papers were perfect! I definitely wanted to use that awesome paper with the macarons (Delicate Lace) on it! From the same paper but the other side, I cut a title and a border of teapots using my Silhouette. To create the border on the yellow paper (Floral Patchwork) I used one of my border punches.

Last but not least I added a few of the puffy stickers and the word stickers and a few strips of journaling and I was done! Hope you like it!

DIY Spring Home Decor

Hey friends, Becki here. I am so excited to share a little piece of Spring with you today. During the months of January, February, and (sometimes) March I get SO tired of Winter and look forward to anything Spring related. I was thrilled when the new Tealightful collection landed on my doorstep because of it’s beautiful Spring color palette and theme. I wanted to create a beautiful piece of DIY Spring Home Decor to display in my home. I started by trimming a piece of patterned paper down to 8×10 to fit into my cream colored frame.

DIY Spring Home Decor created by @jbckadams for @Pebblesinc #DIYSpringHomeDecor #papercrafting #PebblesincThen, I cut twenty 2×2 squares out of various patterned papers from the Tealightful collection. I adhered them around the edge of the 8×10 piece of patterned paper. Then I dove into my collection of stickers and die cuts to embellish the center of the frame.

Then…comes the my favorite part. I LOVE Thickers and use them as much as possible so I added the frame sentiment with Thickers from the new Simple Life collection.

After I had my papers, embellishments, and Thickers in place, I took the whole project to my sewing machine to add a little bit of machine stitching. I stitched around the inside of the paper squares twice and at the bottom of the Thickers.

When you take a closer look at the DIY Spring home decor piece I created you’ll see that it isn’t under glass in the frame. I left the glass out of the frame so that you could really see the texture and dimension on the artwork.

DIY Spring Home Decor created by @jbckadams for @Pebblesinc #DIYSpringHomeDecor #papercrafting #PebblesincI love the dimension the Thickers add to this project! The stitching also adds additional texture to artwork.

In addition to the texture from the Thickers, I also adhered my die cuts with pop dots. By adhering the die cuts with pop dots the kite and the clouds “float” off the frame and add just a little bit more interest.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for Spring!! I’m so excited to have a little bit of Spring in my living room with this DIY Spring home decor. Thanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog today. I’ll see you again soon!
