Best Dad Ever Father’s Day Scrapbook Layout

Hi everyone.  Heather Leopard is here with a Father’s Day scrapbook layout and free Silhouette cut file.  This time, I’m going for a more masculine vibe for this week’s theme, which is all about dad.

Father’s Day scrapbook layout tutorial

To get started you’ll need to punch 1-inch squares or download my free Silhouette cut file HERE.

I used 8 different patterned papers plus some white cardstock (for the background and squares). Arrange them randomly in a diagonal across and down your page.

TIP: I laid squares out in my Silhouette software and then cut a template for them, as pictured above in blue. I placed the blue cutout over my white cardstock background.  Then, I added dabs of glue inside the squares and placed the patterned paper squares.

Let dry completely before removing the template.  This ensure the lines stay as even as possible.

If you’d like, add machine or hand stitching. I chose to do straight lines at a diagonal going both ways.

Next, add your photos.  If you are using my template, I made it so you can use two 2″x2″ photos and one 3″x3″ photo.

Add your title right over the squares, between your photos. Next, add embellishments, such as cardstock stickers, puffy stickers, die cuts and more.  Finish it off with journaling. I plan to add my journaling around the edge of the layout, or perhaps in the empty squares. I’m still debating. Another alternative is that you could also do one less photo and use one of the photo spaces for jouranaling.

Tealightful DIY Tag Mini Album

Hello dear Pebbles friends! It’s Monique here today, kicking off the “lots of layers” week with a fun tag mini album using the Tealightful collection! I always love using lots of layers so this assignment was right up my alley. Last week, when I was making a (long overdue) back-up of my photos, I found these photos again of my youngest participating in a sort of “fashion show” with his school using recycled and self-made clothes. At the time he was only 5 years old and he looked so cute! I knew straight away I wanted to use these photos in some kind of mini album, which turned out to be this tag album:

Before beginning the tag mini album, I printed all the photos I wanted to use in size 2″x 2″, found a cut file in the Silhouette store with 5 different tags, collected the papers and embellishments I thought I would need. Although I used my Silhouette to create the tags, you can easily hand cut these as well. They are different in size (what I love!) but the largest tag is approx. 6″ x 3.5″.

Now came the fun part: embellishing all the tags! Before I adhered the papers on the tags, I used my paper distressing tool to rough up the edges a little. After I had embellished all the tags I used a white & a black pen to draw a lines along the edges of both the tags and some of the papers.

Here are the tags one by one (except for the cover, which you can see in the first photo), so this is the back of the first tag. I just love the pink glitter foam Thickers that belong to this collection and needed to include some of those too!

The second tag is a Pebbles gold dipped tag from the Home+Made collection on which I typed some journaling with my typewriter. Next, I embellished it with a small piece of washi tape, a word sticker, and a transparent sticker:

For the back I used one of the squares from the Tea Party Sentiments sheet and used some ribbon and a puffy sticker to embellish:

The front of the third tag:

On the back  of the third tag I used one of the wood veneer shapes from the Simple Life collection. Isn’t it just perfect?!

Here’s the front of the fourth tag. I just love that so many of the word stickers from the Tealightful collection are so appropriate for my photos!

And the back:

On the fifth tag I adhered the photos a little over the edge of the tag and I loved how it turned out:

And for the back of the fifth tag, I used one of the cards from the Tea Party sheet. Isn’t it super cute?

The sixth and last tag; I thought this was the perfect photo to use last in my mini album, lol. The word “joy” was cut from a sheet of white AC cardstock using my Silhouette:

For the back of the tag mini album I used another card from the Tea Party sheet. I had to trim a little of the sides to make it fit:

This was the last tag in the tag mini album. I used a ring binder to keep all the tags together and knotted a few pieces of ribbon around it. I really love how it turned out! Hope you do too! I adore the Tealightful collection and it’s so perfect to use for almost any occasion! Can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this collection! Don’t forget to share your projects on our facebook page or to tag them with #madewithpebbles if you post them on Instagram!

Tealightful Mother’s Day Mini Album

Hello Pebbles Friends! It’s Leanne here today and I want to share a cute Mother’s Day mini album, created especially for a mother in your life. This is the perfect gift to give to someone special and will allow them to fill this simple tag album with memories of loved ones.

Create a Mother's Day mini album just in time for #MothersDay using @PebblesInc #Tealightfulcollection

This album measure 3″x5″ and is secured by threading a 1/4″ ribbon through the punched holes.

First we need to gather our supplies to make the Mother’s Day mini album.

I have used Pebbles Inc Tealightful collection, as it is the perfect accompaniment to creating a gift for Mother’s Day. Additional products include coordinating coloured ribbon and cardstock, a hole punch, scissors, and your general use trimmer/scoring tools.

Create a Mother's Day mini album just in time for #MothersDay using @PebblesInc #Tealightfulcollection

step 1. | Trim patterned paper and cardstock to 3″x5″. The cardstock is used to provide strength and support to the album. I have used blush, grey, and white colours to suit the Tealightful colour range.

step 2. | Punch two holes on the left side of each trimmed paper and cardstock, at 1″ intervals.

Create a Mother's Day mini album just in time for #MothersDay using @PebblesInc #Tealightfulcollection

step 3. | For the front cover, I  trimmed a cut apart (Enjoy the Little Things) from the Tea Party patterned paper. Because the cut apart only measures 3″x4″, I  added an extra inch of patterned paper to its length.

step 4. | Trim the left side corners to create the tag. Use the first to measure and cut the rest.

step 5. | Embellish the front cover by adding fussy cut flowers and a strip of patterned paper to conceal the joint.

step 6. | Using a scoring tool, fold back the top of the tag. I have used the corner to corner as my guide.

step 7. | Add the ribbon and tie into a bow.

step 8. | Embellish the inside of your tag album with more patterned paper, transparent stickers, alpha thickers and puffy stickers from the Tealightful collection.

Hello Pebbles’ fans! It’s Eva Pizarro here today, showing you how to make some cute Tea Bag Boxes that are ideal for Mother’s Day!

Personalized tea bag boxes are perfect for Mother's Day! @evapizarrov shows you how to make these using the #tealightful collection by @pebblesinc

I got my inspiration from this beautiful paper from the Tealightful collection. The small phrases and designs are perfect to make little tags for your tea bags. If you don’t drink tea, use herbal or fruit infusions like I did!

Begin by cutting several squares from the paper shown below. Mix white and color background squares.

Punch holes in both the tag and the tea bag with your Crop a Dile. Create the tag with the white Corner Chomper; this tool punches triangles in two different sizes, allowing you to make tags in seconds!

Use twine to attach your tea bag to your tag. You may use a staple to attach your twine to your tea bag or, if you don’t want any metal on your tea cup, do it as I did by tying a bow at the top.

Make boxes with the 1,2,3 Punch Board. Use the die cuts and puffy stickers from the Tealightful collection to embellish the boxes.

Place your tea bags inside of the cute boxes. Write the flavor of the tea on the back of the tag, if desired.

I creates two boxes: One for my mom and the other for my mother-in-law. I think they are going to love them on Mother’s Day! You could use this idea for favors or simply a small, thoughtful gift.

Quilted Mother’s Day Layout & Card

09
May
1 Comment

Hey there Pebbles friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a fun quilted Mother’s Day layout and card set that I created with a combination of the TeaLightful collection, the Sunshiny Days collection, and the Lullaby collection. I chose bright patterns that mostly had smaller tone on tone prints, as well as some of the branding strips from the patterned papers. White cardstock was my base for both the Mother’s Day layout and the card. I wanted a blank slate to showcase the fun quilt blocks. When I began this project, I wasn’t intending  to create a card but I had a few bits and pieces left from the quilted pieces I created for the layout.

For the Mother’s Day layout, I began by cutting lots of 12×2 strips of patterned paper. Then, I adhered them to a piece of 12×2 white cardstock.

After I had a few 12×2 strips, I trimmed them down into 2″ squares.

When I had a little pile of 2×2 squares, I stitched down the center of each strip using white thread on my sewing machine. After all the stitching was finished, I began adhering the squares to my white background, diagonally on the left side of the layout.

I added a photo of my kids and I on the right side of the layout. I used Thickers from the Sunshiny Days collection to create the title, placing it above AND below the photo. The journaling for this layout is simply printed on white cardstock, cut into strips, and adhered above the title. I kept the embellishments on this layout to a minimum so that the photo and the quilted squares could shine. Once the Mother’s Day layout was finished, I had a few remaining squares on my desk and decided that I would make a quick Mother’s Day card as well, using only the leftover supplies.

I LOVE how both of these projects turned out!

I hope that these projects inspire you to create your own Mother’s Day projects. Thank you for stopping by the Pebbles blog. Happy Mother’s Day!
