Teacher Appreciation Gift Card Holder

Hello Friends! Amy here from The Happy Scraps today. One of my very favorite things to create is Teacher Gifts. I love letting the teachers that my kids have know that they are very much appreciated. Sometimes it’s as simple as giving a gift card. Today I’m sharing with you how quick it is to make a cute gift card holder, the perfect way to say Thank you to those teachers that do so much!

Any teacher will love this gift from @thehappyscraps. Make a cute gift card holder with the #springfling collection from @pebblesinc, and brighten the teachers day.

I grabbed a piece of the Spring Fling Party Time Cardstock and cut it into 4″ x 6″. I picked out the Thank you from the Spring Fling Foiled Vellum Quote Cards to use with it.

I pulled out my sewing machine and stitched around three sides of the vellum.

It created this fun pocket, the perfect size for a gift card.

Using the Spring Fling Scattered Daisies Cardstock, I cut a circular spiral, so I could create a 3D flower.

I used a brown ink pad for the edges.

I started on the outer edge, and rolled the flower until I got to the center. I placed an adhesive dot in the center, and stuck the rolled flower down to it, to secure it.

Using another adhesive dot, I attached it to the front of the gift card holder.

I added a couple more flowers to it from the Spring Fling Puffy Sticker Flowers.

The last thing left to do was place the gift card in the pocket. Once I had it all finished, I decided that I wanted to use the brown ink on the edges of it as well, so I added that.

Not only is it perfect for holding gift cards, but it looks cute without anything in the pocket as well!

For the second card holder, I picked out the Spring Fling Patchwork and Spring Fling Lace papers and cut the Patchwork paper down to size for a pocket. The Lace paper was also 4″ x 6″ like the one above. I inked the edges of both papers.

I stitched the pocket on, stitching on three sides as well. I pulled a sticker from the Spring Fling Sticker Book, and used cornstarch on the back of it to take the sticky away. Then I mounted it on the card front with dimensional adhesive. Using a little bit of pink twine, I tied it around the label.

So whether you’re looking for a Teacher Appreciation gift or an End of Year Teacher gift, a gift card is always a great idea! Give them one for their favorite store, movie theater or restaurant. I’m sure they will love it!

Easy Teacher Appreciation Cards

Hi everyone! Amanda here today. Teacher Appreciation Week is upon us, and if, like me, you are one of the lucky ones that got out of decorating doors and making class gifts, then hopefully you’ll squash the teacher appreciation guilt by at least giving a card. It’s not that I don’t totally appreciate all that my kids’ teachers do for them. I really do. I just don’t have the time and energy to organize door decorating and class parties. I can, however, make a sweet and simple card (and buy a gift card at the checkout stand).

While I can hardly resist bright, red apples during Teacher Appreciation week, it is fun to think outside of the box and make a few teacher appreciation cards that are a little more personal and a lot of fun. Get creative when looking though your stash for patterns and colors that remind you of teachers.

Great teachers deserve a gold star! As my kids get older, they need teacher appreciation cards and gifts that are suitable for both female and male teachers. A bright, shiny gold star isn’t too cutesy and stands out on some bold, red stripes.

Stitching around the border of a card is one of my favorite ways to add detail and texture to a card. I like to experiment with the different decorative stitches on my sewing machine. On this card I used a triple-stitch function that looks like a wider regular straight stitch. The wider stitch stands out against the big, red stripes.

Pebbles makes it easy to customize your teacher appreciation cards. This year my son studied the countries of South America so I thought it would be neat to make a card for his social studies teacher using the World View paper from the Everyday Collection. I kept the card simple by adding a few Thickers and some wonky gold stitching around the border.

You can never go wrong with classic red apples for a teacher appreciation card. Pair some bright stickers with some contrasting patterned paper and you’re good to go. Add a Thank You sentiment and stitch around the border to add a little detail.

Getting started with teacher appreciation cards doesn’t have to be complicated, nor do you have to start with a plan. Start by gathering some papers and stickers that you think would make fun teacher cards. With a pile of goodies on your desk, start playing around with the position of stickers, sentiments, and punches. Experiment with different combinations and arrangements until you find one (or more) that is just right.

Easy Teacher Gift

Hi friends, Becki here, to share a quick gift that you can put together for your child’s teacher within just a few minutes. Today is the last day of school for my kids. I’m so excited for the lazy days of Summer but before Summer begins I want to make sure the teachers in our lives know how much we appreciate them. I put together a gift for each of my kids teachers with some refrigerated cookie dough and some supplies from the Home Grown collection.

Teacher Gift by @jbckadams for @PebblesincI gathered a few supplies and got started. It only took me 20 minutes to put these gifts together.

Teacher Gift by @jbckadams for @PebblesincI created a tag to go on the gift first. I used the frames from the photo garland kit to create the tags. To create the sentiment I used Thickers and printed the rest of the sentiment by printing on the patterned paper with my printer.

Teacher Gift by @jbckadams for @PebblesincI laid out the Thickers on the frame and measured it so I knew where to place the printed text.

Teacher Gift by @jbckadams for @PebblesincAfter I got the tags finished with printing, Thickers and a few other stickers. I covered the tubes of cookie dough with patterned paper.

Teacher Gift by @jbckadams for @PebblesincI punched a hole in the tags so I could attach them to the cookie dough with a piece of ribbon.

Teacher Gift by @jbckadams for @PebblesincI’m so thrilled with how these turned out! My kids are so excited to take these to their teachers today.

Teacher Gift by @jbckadams for @PebblesincThanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog today!

Teacher Appreciation Card Set

Hi friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing the cards my boys will be giving to their school teachers to remind them how much we appreciate them! I always like to create cards in sets of two or three, and considering the fact that I needed two cards, this seemed very do-able. And then I remembered that the cards couldn’t be too feminine OR too masculine – as one of my boys has a “Mr.” for a teacher, and the other has a “Mrs.” Still, I wanted to use a similar design for both cards. I was inspired by a piece of patterned paper to create these cards for the teachers:

Do you know which paper inspired me? Yep, the “Pick Me Up” paper from the Happy Day collection!

My Silhouette Cameo came in handy as I was able to find and download a cup shape that matched the cups on the paper. I used various papers from the Happy Day and the Homegrown collections to cut the pieces for the cups – one for the main cup, one for the wrap, and one for the lid. I made sure to use more feminine colors and patterns for one, and more masculine colors and patterns for the other. Here’s a look at the pieces for the “Mr.” card, before I pieced them together:

Then I trimmed down the “thanks” piece from the “Thinking of You” paper, cut it into a banner shape and added it to the wrap as well.

The “Ivy” foam letter thickers were perfect for adding words to the cup wrap:

Next, I attached the wrap to the cup with foam adhesive squares:

To finish up the cup, I added some stickers and a bow around the lid. And I placed the completed cup on a piece of coordinating paper and then attached the entire thing on the front of an A2 sized card.

But wait, there’s MORE!
I used my handy dandy 3×4 punch to create a coordinating pocket for the inside of the card. Remember to add adhesive along the left, bottom, and right edges – but leave the top open!

Add additional thickers and/or sentiments to the pocket and tuck in a gift card!

That’s it – two teacher cards – similar but different. But both will be sent with much love and appreciation for all of the things they do for my boys!

Teacher's Gift Box by Mendi Yoshikawa using the #HomeGrown collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

It’s Mendi here today with a quick and easy gift idea for the special teachers in your child’s life.  I love creating handmade gifts for my own kid’s teachers and I thought the Wooden Recipe Box from Pebbles Homemade collection was the perfect object to alter for this fun present.

I think personalizing gifts with the Teacher’s name is always a nice touch and it was easy to achieve this using the darling foam thickers from the Homegrown collection.  I adore mixing my fonts and THIS cutting file was the perfect way to achieve this.  I think it’s pretty cool that it covers all the acronyms you might need.

The colors in Pebbles Homegrown collection are a perfect fit for a school themed project.  I love how well the colors compliment the school supplies that I added to my box and it’s a wonderful bonus that a basic box like this is able to serve so many different purposes from a recipe box to a phone/address box to a basic container to hold a multitude of different office supplies.

Teacher's Gift Box by Mendi Yoshikawa using the #HomeGrown collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

To embellish my gift box I created a simple 3-D bow using a tool you might already have in your stash:  The Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers!  I have included simple instructions below with a step-by-step picture tutorial.

Teacher's Gift Box by Mendi Yoshikawa using the #HomeGrown collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

Step 1:  Cut (2) 6″ x 1″ strips.  Line up the strip at the 3-inch mark on the punch board and punch notches from both sides of each strip.

Step 2:  Adhere two sides of bow (wrong sides together) with liquid adhesive.  This acts as a lining for your bow as well as adding stiffness to maintain it’s shape.

(Note: You can also reverse step 1 & 2 punching out the center after the 2 strips are adhered together).

Step 3:  Line up the center of the bow at the 3-inch mark, punching each side on both ends.

Step 4:  Gently curl each end toward the center.  I used a pencil to gently curl it.

Step 5:  Adhere the ends in the center with a bit of liquid adhesive or hot glue.  I chose to staple the center afterwards for extra stability.

Step 6:  Cut a 4.25″ x 1″ strip for the ribbon tails.  Center the strip in the punch and notch each end as shown.

Step 7:  Line the strip at the 2-1/8″ mark and notch each side of the ribbon tail in the center.

Step 8:  Add liquid adhesive or hot glue to center of bow and adhere bow portion to ribbon tail.

Step 9:  Thread twine through button using an embroidery needle, add a bit of glue to center of button and wrap button & twine around center of bow, knotting on the back.

Step 10:  Use finished 3-D bow to embellish your favorite DIY or Home Decor project.

I hope I’ve inspired you to try this quick and easy gift!  The 3-D paper bows are so much fun to make!
