Memorial Day Thank You Cards

Hi, Renee here today to share a couple of Memorial Day thank you cards using our America the Beautiful collection. Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country’s armed forces. These cards are perfect to give to those family members and friends who are today’s military heroes. I wanted a card that would be full of appreciation, love, and respect for the protectors of our freedom and their love of country.

I used a circle trimmer and blue cardstock to create 6″ circle-shaped cards.

I adhered the Stars and Stripes pattern paper to the front of the card. Then, I added different sized strips of pattern papers horizontally along the card.

I added the Patriotic Thickers, along the 1 ½” strip of the Sparklers pattern paper, for my card sentiment.

I finished off my card with a few Stickers, Die-Cuts, and Golden Color Mist.

Hi, Renee here today to share a Bath Time layout with lots of cute layers using the Lullaby collection. Whether you love layering your projects with pattern papers or embellishments, your photos will look fantastic and pop! I love pattern papers — they are my favorite! So, why wouldn’t I add lots of layers of pattern papers to my Bath Time layout?

Before I added lots of pattern paper layers, I embellished my 5″ x 7″ photo. I used a craft knife to trim behind Payton’s back and a bit of the inside of the bathtub. I used enamel dots for bubbles in the bathtub. I added an adorable “rubber duckie” next to the bathtub.

I used the Just Duckie pattern paper for the background of my Bath Time layout. Then, I trimmed another Just Duckie pattern paper (using the reverse side) to 5″ x 12″ and adhered it to the right side of my page. Now for the layers of pattern papers I used under my photo:

I trimmed the Baby Boy Quotes pattern paper to 6″ x 8″
I trimmed the Baby Girl Plaid pattern paper to 6″ x 8″
I trimmed the Baby Girl Posies pattern paper to 6 ¾” x 8″
I trimmed the Baby Girl Blossoms pattern paper to 6″ x 7 ½”
I trimmed the Woodland Baby Boy pattern paper to 6 ½” x 6 ½”
I trimmed the Baby Girl Blossoms pattern paper to 5 ½” x 7 ½”

I used foam dots to add my photo on top of all my pattern paper layers.

I added my title right onto my photo. The enamel dots look SO cute layered as the bubbles for my Bath Time layout!

I added sweet Baby Girl Die-Cuts, buttons, and enamel dots to the left of my photo for lots of embellishments!

Hello, Renee here today sharing some Teacher Thank You cards, using the Tealightful collection, to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. As another school year wraps up, it’s a good time to get those end of the year cards and gifts ready for your children’s special and hard-working teachers. Your children’s teachers will certainly love these darling and thoughtful handmade thank you cards.

Below are instructions of how I created these teacher thank you cards. The finished cards each measure 5″ x 7″.

Begin by drawing 3 x 4 ½” ovals (using a template) onto the Delicate Lace (pictured below) and Floral Patchwork pattern papers, which measure 4 ¼” and 6 ¼”. Draw the same oval on the Daydream pattern paper. Cut out all ovals, and adhere among the pretty fringe layers.

To make each card unique, embellish the center of the card. For the bear card, use a craft knife to trim around the bear paw. Add a Word Sticker in place of the teacup for the card sentiment. I chose “thanks” from the list available.

I finished off the bear card with some flower Puffy Stickers and machine stitching. I love all the paper and fringe tape layers!

For the second teacher thank you card, I went with a teacup theme. Follow the same instructions above, adding the “thank you” sentiment below the teacups. I think the Sky Fringe Tape is the perfect color for the Floral Patchwork pattern paper on this card, making this card too cute.

DIY Decoupage Succulent Planter Teacher Gift

Hello everyone, Heather Leopard is here to walk you through creating a cute decoupage succulent planter as a teacher gift. I want to say thank you to all the teachers out there! As the school year is winding down, I’m thinking about ways to show my daughters’ teachers some appreciation. Since they are an integral part of my daughters’ development and growth, I thought it only fitting to create a one-of-a-kind teacher gift. See how to create this cute teacher gift to show your appreciation for all your kids’ teachers do.

Begin by selecting a patterned paper from the Simple Life collection. I wanted something that was neutral colored but also nature-themed, so this page was perfect for my vision!

Cut your chosen patterned paper in various pieces. Here’s just a sample of how I cut it. I ended up using the entire sheet for the project.

Apply a liberal amount of decoupage mixture and adhere the paper to the clay pot. I worked all the way around the pot like this, ensuring there was enough overlapping the top and bottom of the pot.

I covered the entire pot, then went back over the top with more decoupage mixture to really seal the paper. Repeat this step a few times, especially on the inside.

Next, fill your new planter with your favorite flowers or succulents. Finish off the gift with a couple small signs to insert into the pot. I chose a sentiment and a butterfly from the Simple Life collection.

Do you think my daughter’s teacher will like it? I’ll add a coordinating gift card, but in all honesty I kind of want to keep it for myself! This project is the perfect gift for a teacher of friend who needs a cute gift for their kitchen or desktop.

I started with the We R Memory Keepers 123 Punch Board to create envelopes. I trimmed the Growing Floral, Garden Tools, and Rose Gold Foiled Vellum (pictured below) papers to 7″ squares. I followed the instructions to create 3 ¾” x 5″ envelopes. I trimmed off a couple of the corners to make them into packets.
