1 Year Mini Album

Hello, Renee here today to share a 1 Year mini album using the Lullaby collection.  Oh, how I love this sweet baby collection and creating this mini album gave me the opportunity to combine both the boy and girl lines.  Payton turned double digits this past St. Patrick’s Day!  I cannot believe it’s been 10 years since she joined and completed our family.  I looked through some older studio portraits and found a bunch from her first birthday.  I had to grab some of my favorites to make a mini album.  I used a couple of 5″ x 7″ along with some 2 ½” x 3 ½” photos for this 6″ x 8″ album.

This is my favorite page from Payton’s 1 Year mini album!  Who said that Glassine Paper was just for treat bags and envelopes?  I adhered two glassine papers back to back and trimmed it down to 5 ½” x 8″.  I added a pretty punched edge and embellished it with adorable Die-Cuts and enamel dots.  I used the We R Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board and the Baby Girl Quotes pattern paper to create a 2 ¼” x 3 ½” photo frame.  Adorable!

I used my We R Memory Keepers Cinch Book Binding Tool with Square Holes to finish off my album.  The instructions were simple to follow making the mini album easy to make.

  1. I gathered all my pages and lined them up to punch the holes for an 8″ album.  I pulled the #4 peg when it came time to add the additional holes at the ends of the pages.
  2. I trimmed the We R Memory Keepers White Cinch Wires to about a 7 ½” length and placed them on the hooks.  I threaded the inside pages of my mini album first, then the front cover, and then the back cover (the front and back covers faced each other so I could hide the seam) on to the binding wires.
  3. I set the cinching bar to the size of the .75″ wires and pressed down.

My album looks great!  I created a simple cover using the Just Duckie pattern paper along with a birthday cake Die-Cut and Maggie Thickers for the title of my mini album.  I added the Icicle and Honeycomb glitter glues to the flowers and candle of the birthday cake Die-Cut for some sparkle.

I adhered the Baby Girl Plaid pattern paper to the front cover and embellished using a card from the Baby Boy Quotes pattern paper.  I love this quote card!

I used the Baby Boy Blossoms pattern paper for my page here.  Lots of pretty flower stickers around my photo!  I used the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Styleboard Die Set and Baby Girl Quotes pattern paper to create the bow embellishment.

I love the bunny design on the Baby Girl Posies pattern paper and couldn’t help but use a matching bunny Die-Cuts for this photo!  So sweet!  Love the glassine page that gives me a sneak of the next page.  That deer Die-Cut is too adorable.

I adorned the Baby Girl Quotes pattern paper with layers and star Stickers.  A “mama’ duck Die-Cut hugs her “baby” duck Puffy Sticker for lots of love.

I added lots of flower and butterfly Stickers to embellish the photo on the Baby Boy Blossoms pattern paper.  I used the soft pink stripes on the Woodland Baby Girl pattern paper for this sweet teddy bear photo.  How perfect is this bear Die-Cut?  I cut-up the journaling card from the  Baby Girl Quotes patterned paper and added some pink mist to a few words before adhering it around my photo.

I used the Just Duckie pattern paper again for the back cover of my mini album.

DIY Back To School Banner

Hello, hello, hello!  It’s back-to-school time, which means it’s the perfect time to switch up my little revolving frame!  I know it’s a little “old school,” but I love paper piecing and try to incorporate it in my projects whenever I can.  This little pencil banner was so easy to whip up with only a few supplies – and I love the excitement it generates about school starting (even if I am the only one feeling the giddiness of buying school supplies and new clothes)!

You can make a banner just like this one in only a few simple steps.  Let me show you!

First, cut the following pieces – adjusting the scale as needed for your project:

DIY Back-to-School banner by @wendysuea with the #SpringFling and #Everyday collections by @Pebblesinc.

pink patterned paper: 2 1/2″ x 2″
woodgrain patterned paper: 2 1/2″ x 1/2″
yellow patterned paper: 2 1/2″ x 4″
kraft dot patterned paper: 2 1/2″ x 1/2″
black patterned paper: 2 1/2″ x 1″

Create the eraser by layering the pink and woodgrain patterned papers, then round the top corners:

Place the eraser on the pencil:

Now layer the kraft and black papers to create the wood/lead:

Sharpen your pencil by clipping the corners of the black paper:

And add the lead to the pencil:

Finally, add the letter stickers (I used foam adhesive behind the letter stickers for a bit of dimension):

Next, punch holes in the corners of each eraser and string them together with baker’s twine.  Add thickers to complete the title and hang!

These pencils would also be cute as bag decorations, tags, or even cards!  Be creative and put your paper-piecing skills to work!

This frame hangs in my entry way, and I switch it up according to the season or holiday.

Anniversary Cards

Hi, Renee here to share a couple of lovely Anniversary cards I made using the Spring Fling collection.  I love the way these geometric shaped cards turned out.  I can’t wait to give them to some of my family members who are celebrating their wedding anniversaries this summer.

Here’s my first card…creating with a hexagon shape.

Sending Happy Anniversary wishes with these Anniversary cards by @reneezwirek using the #SpringFling collection by @pebblesinc

  1. I started with a hexagon template (each side of my hexagon measures about 3 ½” – I increased the image size 150% before printing) and a piece of blue cardstock (folded measures 6″ x 6 7/8″)
  2. I placed the template on top of my card base making sure that the card will flip up to open before I cut.
  3. I trimmed off the corners of the card.

I trimmed the Spring Fling pattern paper to 5 ¾” x 6 5/8″, trimmed the Happy Thoughts pattern paper to make a tree branch, and adhered them onto my card base.  I added machine stitching around my hexagon shaped card.

I used my Flower Punch Board to add leaves to the tree branch.  I added a flower and two owl stickers to my card.  I added a gold heart sticker and a gold “love” sentiment sticker to finish off the card.

Here’s my second card…creating with square shapes.

Sending Happy Anniversary wishes with these Anniversary cards by @reneezwirek using the #SpringFling collection by @pebblesinc

I started by trimming the yellow cardstock to 6″ x 12″.  I folded it in half so my card can be 6″ x 6″ square shaped.  I layered the Spring Fling pattern paper (trimmed to 5 ¾” x 5 ¾”) and the Strawberry Fields pattern paper (trimmed to 5 ¼” x 5 ¼”) and added machine stitching all around my card.

I used my Minc Machine to add Gold Foil to some flowers and added them to the bottom of the card along with some fussy cut leaves.  I added two sweet giraffe die-cuts, another gold heart sticker, and a gold “Celebrate” sentiment sticker to finish off the card.

Family Fun Layout

Hi!  Renee here today to share a Family Fun layout with a big title using the Spring Fling collection.  I love summer because we returned to Six Flags Great America.  It was an awesome day!  Caitie was tall enough to go on all the roller coasters this year.  Her favorite ride was X-Flight.  Payton had fun riding The Demon for the first time.  I took it easy and only rode on a few rides.  One of my all-time favorite rides is the train that goes around the entire park.  While on the train, we took a family photo and this one has instantly become one of my favorites from our day.

I started this layout by trimming the hexagon pattern on the Patchwork pattern paper.

I adhered it to the Lace pattern paper and added some machine stitching.  I left the decorative strip on the bottom of my background paper and trimmed off the top instead.

My photo measures 5″ x 7″.  I used both sides of the Chalkboard Floral pattern paper to add some layers.  I trimmed the dots pattern to 5 ½” x 7 ¼”.  I trimmed the flowers pattern to 6″ x 7 ¾”.

I adhered the “family” Die-Cut Word above my photo and added lots of embellishments.  To finish off my title, I used the “FUN” Large Gold Alpha Stickers.

I trimmed the “you can never have too much happy” and “smile” phrases from the From Me to You pattern paper.  I added a few Puffy Flower Stickers.

I added a gold butterfly Vellum Die-Cut, a Rosette, and a few more hexagons here.  I added some Golden Color Mist to finish off the page.

Big photo Layout

Hello everyone and welcome to the Pebble’s blog! I am Eva Pizarro showing you a layout with a big photo and the lovely Spring Fling collection.

This line is perfect for weddings, showers and celebrations. It has a mix of pink and mint that matched perfectly with the photo of my son at my sister in law’s wedding.

I wanted to create a small hidden letter for my son and the little 3×4 inch cards were perfect to create a card! I attach a small piece of doily to access the letter easily.

Big photo layout by @evapizarrov using #springfling collection by @pebblesinc

Hide the letter under your picture placing the doily where you want.

Big photo layout by @evapizarrov using #springfling collection by @pebblesinc

Because I am using a big photo there isn’t much need of embellishments. I kept my title and all my design on the right side of the layout. I added my title first and then big embellishments like doilies, a banner and a paper rosette.

Big photo layout by @evapizarrov using #springfling collection by @pebblesinc

Next I added some more embellishments on top of my picture

Big photo layout by @evapizarrov using #springfling collection by @pebblesinc

And I finish everything with some enamel dots and a few designs that I hand cut from patterned papers.

The doily that is holding my letter isn’t attached to the layout but I placed a foam thicker on top so I can take it off easily.

I love all the little embellishments in this collection. They are perfect for a baby layout!

What do you think? Do you make scrapbooks of events like this? If you do I am sure you are going to love this collection! I use it for an Easter layout too! You can see the tutorial here!
