Pretty Floral Cards With The Simple Life Collection

Hi Pebbles friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing this set of pretty floral cards I created with the brand new “Simple Life” collection!  Sometimes after making pretty card fronts, I choose to add a little something extra to the inside of my cards.  When you have gorgeous coordinating products, it’s easy to add a little personality to the inside so it will match the outside as well!  Let me walk you through the process of making one of these happy floral cards.Create these pretty floral cards inside and out by following the tutorial by @Wendysue with the new "Simple Life" collection by @pebblesinc.

Of course, the first thing you need to do is gather the supplies:

The yellow floral piece is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the black sketched piece is about 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ – I used a steel die to cut the black piece with the faux stitching, but you could opt to add machine stitching or just cut a regular rectangle.

The pretty script paper block is about 1 3/4″ x 4″ – add it to the left side of the layered piece.

Use a small circle punch to cut little notches near the top and bottom right of the script piece.  This will act as an anchor for the twine and keep it from slipping back and forth after it’s tied on!

Place a floral die-cut or sticker in the bottom left corner.

Now tie some twine around the piece and tie a bow.

Place a wood word as shown:

And place the entire piece on the front of a gray 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base.

And now for the inside!  Cut a piece of cream cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and place on the inside of the card.

Place a sentiment sticker right in the center.

Add a few coordinating flower stickers around the sentiment:

Hello, Renee here today to share a Seed Packet Quick Gift using the Jen Hadfield Simple Life collection and the We R Memory Keepers 123 Punch Board.  These seed packets make perfect gifts for the people in your life with green thumbs.

Create the perfect simple gift for those family members and friends with a green thumb with this Seed Packet Quick Gift by @reneezwirek using the #SimpleLife collection by @pebblesinc and @Tatertots and Jello .com

I started with the We R Memory Keepers 123 Punch Board to create envelopes.  I trimmed the Growing Floral, Garden Tools, and Rose Gold Foiled Vellum (pictured below) papers to 7″ squares.  I followed the instructions to create 3 ¾” x 5″ envelopes.  I trimmed off a couple of the corners to make them into packets.

After I adhered the seed packets together, I added the seeds.

I trimmed a few of the 3″ x 4″ cards from the Spring Seeds pattern paper and adhered them to the front of the seed packets.

I wrote the names of the flower seeds that I put inside the packets on the back of these phrase tags.

Green Hemp Twine was used to tie the phrase tags to the seed packets.

Simple Life Cards

Creating cards with @PebblesInc #SimpleLifecollection.

Hello Pebbles Friends! It is Leanne here today sharing a step-by-step process for creating cards with the new Simple Life collection.

Creating cards with @PebblesInc #SimpleLifecollection. Thank you!

I just love the beautiful colors and patterns in this collection and wanted to share how easy it is to team each patterned paper up with what might seem like a random choice!

All three card bases were created with one sheet of 12×12 cardstock. I trimmed the cardstock at 4×12, then folded the first piece in half along the length. The remaining cardstock piece is 12×8. I trimmed this piece to create two more cardstock bases measuring at 6×8. Fold and score both pieces in half at 4″.

The first card created used an extra off cut of white cardstock.

Card 1. | Thinking of You

step 1. | Trim your choice of patterned paper to 3.75″x5.75″. I have used Simple Life Sweet Citrus to incorporate the gorgeous yellows, creams and blues!

step 2. | Punch, cut or trim a 3″ circle at the top of a 3.5″x5.5″ pieces of white cardstock. If your are a precise scrapper, I recommend using an electronic die cutting machine for accuracy. But a circle punch etc. will work perfectly fine too! Put the cardstock circle aside for the next card.

step 3. | Layer and adhere the white cardstock on top of the Sweet Citrus patterned paper. Hand stitch a row of cream colored embroidery thread around the outside edge of the cardstock circle.

step 4. | Complete your card by adhering the layers to your cardstock base. Add a cardstock sticker sentiment, one with a touch of orange in it, to the bottom of the card and two cardstock die cut elements. When choosing the cardstock die cuts, I layered pieces with similar colors as well as the extra pop of color from the orange flowers.

Cards 2. | Happy Birthday

step 1. | Trim a piece of natural colored cardstock to 3.75″x5.75″ and a piece of Simple Life Growing Floral to 3.5″x5.5″. Layer and adhere to the second cardstock card base.

step 2. | Using the leftover cardstock circle from the previous card, distress the edges with brown ink. Be sure to leave the centre of the circle white.

step 3. | Fussy cut flowers from Simple Life Magnolias and add to the front of the cardstock circle. Adhere with foam dots for more dimension.

step 4. | Complete the card by adding a birthday sentiment from the Simple Life Cardstock Sticker Sentiment, directly under the embellished circle.

Card 3. | Happy Birthday

With this card I am playing with the additional colors of brown and black, but I am still linking the patterned papers together from all three cards by using some fussy cut elements.

step 1. | Using the 4×12 cardstock base, fold and score to create a cards sized at 4×6. Round the bottom corners.

step 2. Trim the B side of Simple Life Music patterned paper to 3.8×5.8. Round the bottom two corners, then center the patterned paper and adhere it to the card base.

step 3. | Trim another piece of off-cut white cardstock to 3.5×5.5. Round the bottom two corners.

step 4. | Trim a piece of the B Side from Simple Life Growing Floral to 3.5×3 and layer on to the 3.5×5.5 white cardstock. Leave a 0.5cm gap from the top to add machine stitching. Centre and adhere to the card base.

step 5. | Fussy cut more flowers from the Simple Life Magnolia patterned paper and trim a smaller banner from the reverse side to layer beneath the fussy cut elements.

step 6. | Complete the card by adding a chalk board like sticker from the Simple Life Cardstock Stickers. The black and browns from the sticker ground all the patterned papers and allows them to work together.

Thanks for visiting today! I hope you enjoyed the process of using patterned papers to their full potential.

When Life Gives You Lemons…Create a Scrapbooking Layout

Hello fabulous Pebbles people. Heather Leopard is here today, sharing a lemonade scrapbooking layout that features a super-sized title of a proverbial phrase we all know and love. It’s meant to provide optimism but I’m using it in the literal sense ’cause it’s just too good to pass up for this lemonade stand layout.

Make Lemonade Scrapbooking Layout by @heatherleopard using the @PebblesInc #jenhadfield #thesimplelife collection #scrapbooking #layout #lemonade #lemonadestand #madewithpebbles

I also wanted to create a quilt-like lemon as part of the title to make it “pop” and add a bit more interest to the page. Let’s see how it all came together.

I like to sketch my projects out, either in a sketch book or digitally.  When I’m working on my computer or I know I am going to be using my Silhouette, I use the Silhouette software to sketch it all out.  I actually draw boxes for photos and layers to make sure everything will fit perfectly before I cut it out.  It also serves as a great guide to creating the actual layout once everything is cut.

Once I knew how much space I had to work with, I trimmed down the cardstock and adhered it over the background.  But first, I cut out the inside of the background patterned paper because I just can’t let anything go to waste!  Now it was time for a little stitching with the sewing machine and I was set to go.

Make Lemonade Scrapbooking Layout by @heatherleopard using the @PebblesInc #jenhadfield #thesimplelife collection #scrapbooking #layout #lemonade #lemonadestand #madewithpebbles

As mentioned previously, I wanted to create the patchwork quilt-like feel for the lemon. To accomplish this, I cut the lemon shape out of cardstock. Next, I adhered small squares randomly over the top and set aside to dry. Once dry, I trimmed the overage to reveal a lemon shape.

Repeat the process for the leaf…..

Next, it was time for the large title.  I cut letters out of six different patterned papers. I actually cut the same exact letters from the different papers. Then I randomly placed them, making sure that no two were too close to each other.  While this wastes a bit of paper, I wanted flexibility to change patterns as needed.

Once I liked the placement, I adhered them with liquid adhesive and added my super-sized lemonade word. “Lem” and “nade” where also adhered with liquid adhesive. I placed the lemon shaped “o” in the middle using foam for dimension.

I added photos, embellishments, and the oh so important journaling to complete the page. With that I ask, who’s ready for some lemonade, or better yet, who’s ready for some lemonade scrapbooking?

DIY Planner Binder featuring Simple Life Collection

Hello everyone! It’s Eva Pizarro here today with a quick tutorial for all our planner lovers. I made an easy binder for the top of my planner to hold important loose papers. Making the folder is simple and practical!

Create a cute mini folder for your planner with this tutorial from @evapizarrov and the new #simplelife collection by @pebblesinc #pebblesinc #plannerspread #madewithpebbles

To begin, use one of your planner pages as a template; cut paper in the same height. Score your paper at the exact width of your planner. To complete the folder, you will need 4 sections of paper, preferably in one sheet. If necessary, add a piece of paper to give you the right width for the project.  I am using the new Simple Life collection, perfect for your planner with its everyday sentiments and stickers!

Create a cute mini folder for your planner with this tutorial from @evapizarrov and the new #simplelife collection by @pebblesinc #pebblesinc #plannerspread #madewithpebbles

Bend the outer sections into the center of the page, meeting in the middle.

Next, cut the outer sections diagonally, at your desired angle preference. Glue the folded paper in at the bottom and the center of the paper.

Using your planner page as your template, punch holes on the outer edges of your binder.

To more easily open your folder, snip tiny triangles from the outer edge to the holes of your binder.

Now it is time to decorate your folder! I used one of the 4×6 cards on one of the Simple Life patterned papers.

My planner is simple, while also being functional and cute. I use a bow clip to mark my week. Additionally, I use some of the lovely wood veneer shapes to create extra clips for my planner. The rest of the planner is decorated with washi tape strips and a few die cuts.

The little word stickers are the perfect pairing for your planner — they come in 3 pages, with 117 stickers in 3 different colors, for a great selection of choices.
