Quick Picnic Basket Gift

Hi friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a quick picnic basket gift project!  Summertime is the best time for picnics, but that doesn’t mean you have to take a full day or even pack a full picnic basket.  Instead, make a mini picnic basket with paper, fill it with a quick treat, and deliver it to someone special!  I created a basket to fill with muffins for a quick morning drop-off to a sweet friend!  It was quick and easy and I love how it turned out – I hope she does too!

Picnic basket quick gift by @wendysuea with the "Simple Life" collection for @Pebblesinc.

Here’s a quick photo tutorial for making this project.  Start by downloading a digital cut file for the picnic basket.  Cut it out twice – once out of woodgrain paper, for the outside; and once out of this traditional red and white gingham print to line the inside.  The purpose of this is two-fold; to replicate an actual picnic basket AND to make it heavy-duty!

Be sure to cut the mirror image for the inside (liner) of the basket.  Next, glue the two layers together.

Now begin assembling the basket. Be sure to use extra strong adhesive to hold everything together!

Next, add the lid and handle with small brads.  Aren’t those flaps perfect for the lid?!?

Finally, just to add a little finishing touch, layer a few die-cuts and tie them onto the handle of the basket.

Here’s a look at the completed basket.

To complete the project, add a treat (or two! These bakery muffins fit inside perfectly!).

Now deliver a sweet treat to a special friend or neighbor!

A picnic for breakfast!  What could be more fun than that?  Not much!

Red, White and Blue Celebration Cards!

Hello Pebbles Friends! It is Leanne here today, sharing with you some Red, White and Blue Celebration cards. What better way to celebrate and feel patriotic than with a little colour embellishment.

I initially started by creating backgrounds for my cards. These water colour bases help to make the patterned paper pop on the white cardstock.  The first card celebrates the use of patterned paper.

step 1.

Select a patterned paper that can be fussy cut. The Simple Life Bougainvillea paper was trimmed to fit a piece of white cardstock measuring 3.75″x5.75″. The white cardstock was given a royal blue water colour wash.

step 2.

Layer the white cardstock on top of a matching blue cardstock.

step 3.

Add small amounts of foam tape to the fussy cut flowers.

step 4.

Complete your card by adhering the blue cardstock to a 4″x6″ card base and add a small sentiment in the lower left corner.

…………………….

To create this next card, you will need a watercolour wash that resembles fireworks in bright red and blue.

step 1.

Gather your supplies of red, white and blue patterned papers. Trim each sheet allowing only a small border to show between layers.

step 2.

Punch or trim several different sized stars to layer on top of the water colour background.

step 3.

Add foam tape to the red stars to create dimension and interest.

step 4.

Complete the card by adhering the layers of patterned paper to a cardstock base. Add a sticker sentiment with foam tape.

……………………..

To create the final card I decided I would take my red, white and blue celebration theme quite literal. Why not add the words directly to the card.

step 1.

Using the We R Memory Keepers Mini Alphabet Punchboard  punch out the letters to spell “RED”.

step 2.

Add the letters to a gray water colour wash and layer onto a blue patterned paper.

step 3.

Complete the card with white thickers, an ampersand die cut from Simple Life and some fussy cut blue flowers. Mount the layers of patterned paper onto a cardstock base and add an extra sentiment sticker.

Hopefully these cards inspire you to now create and have your own red, white and blue celebration! Thanks for visiting.

DIY Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags

Hello Pebbles friends! It’s Monique from the Pebbles’ Design Team with you today sharing this simple Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags project with you! As both my father and my father-in-law are huge fans of good wine, we are going to give them both a bottle of good wine. Of course these bottles need a little decoration, and what is more fun than creating Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags, including a pocket for an extra gift card or a card with a sweet message?! I decided to use the stunning Pebbles Simple Life collection from Jen Hadfield. Although this collection definitely has a feminine touch with the elegant flower die-cuts and stickers, I think it’s also perfect to use for men’s projects; the quiet neutral and earthy colors are just what I look for when creating a project for a man.

Here’s a photo of the Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags I created:

Father's Day Wine Bottle Tags a step-by-step tutorial by @moniqueliedtke with the #Simple_Life collection by @PebblesInc #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc #wine_bottle_tag #fathersday

As there’s still a little time to create these Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags yourself, I’ll show you quickly how I created them.

I started with a cut file from the Silhouette store, but if you don’t own an electronic die-cutting machine these are easy to create without it as well. After cutting the base for the Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags from two different colored sheets of cardstock, I collected the items I thought I would need to create my Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags:

Father's Day Wine Bottle Tags a step-by-step tutorial by @moniqueliedtke with the #Simple_Life collection by @PebblesInc #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc #wine_bottle_tag #fathersday

For the inside of the brown tag I chose the Poppies and the Garden Tools patterned papers:

And for the front of the pocket I chose the Barn Wood patterned paper:

Before embellishing the tags I doodled a line around the sides of the patterned paper with a black precision pen. Next, I selected a sticker from the “Sentiments” cardstock stickers and a die-cut of a bunch of flowers:

The following step is selecting a word sticker, a wood veneer butterfly and forming the word “DAD” using matching American Crafts Thickers. To adhere the wood veneer butterfly I used 3D foam adhesive to create a little “depth”:

And tada! Here’s (one of) the finished Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tag:

The second Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tag turned out like this:

Both tags measure 3.5″ x 8.5″ and have a score & fold line at 3″ from the top. They fit around a wine bottle perfectly! Look:

I really love how this turned out and can’t wait to see if my father and father-in-law will like the decoration around their wine bottles. Now I just have to buy a gift card to insert in the pockets of these fun Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags and my gifts are ready to be handed over!

Thanks for stopping by to have a look at my project. If you like it then you’ve still got today and tomorrow to create one for your father or father-in-law as well, or maybe you could help your child to create one for their dad. The Father’s Day Wine Bottle Tags are super easy to create and soooo fun to embellish. Here’s the list with supplies I used:

Hello Pebbles Friends! It is Leanne here today to share with you really cute, Father’s Day Gift Bag ideas.  Using the We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punchboard and Pebbles Inc Simple Life Patterned paper collection, these gift bags came together quickly and with minimal fuss!  Let’s get started!

step 1 | Gather your supplies

These gift bags measure 4.5″ tall. Trim a piece of patterned paper to 4.5″x10″ (per single bag).

Small pieces of coordinating patterned paper to embellish.

White and one other coordinating coloured Cardstock pieces.

Gift Bag punchboard.

Various shaped punches. I have used a 2″ circle and 1″ starburst punch.

step 2 | Base gift bag

Create your base for the gift bag, following the instructions as per the punchboard. Fold on the score lines but do not adhere together.

Shirtfront Gift Bag

step 3 | Embellish

To create the gift bag with the shirt front, trim a piece of coordinating patterned paper to 0.5″x 2.5″.  Trim to form the collar of the shirt front, by notching a triangle from the bottom of the patterned paper. See sample above.

Trim two more tie shape pieces of paper from the same pattern.

step 4 | Add to the gift bag

Using  a thin strip of white cardstock 10″x 0.5″, fold in half and overlap the top edge of the gift bag. This cardstock strip gives the gift bag a more polished look.

Add the “tie” to the front section of your gift bag. See image above. Use a foam dot to mount on the “knot” of the tie.

step 5 | Build the gift bag

Once the gift bag has been embellished to your satisfaction, finish building  the gift bag as per the punchboard instructions. Adhere the sides and bottom of the bag securely.

step 6 | Braces and gift bag handles

Trim two thin strips of white cardstock to create the braces. Tuck the edges under the collar (see image above) and secure to the base of the bag.  Add the handles by using two pieces of cardstock paper strips. Finish by slightly bending the tip of the tie outwards for a little dimension.

Dimensional Star Tag Gift Bag

step 1 | Punch or trim the shapes for your tag.

step 2 | Dimensional star

Trim/Punch a 2″ star shape. Score a line from each tip to the opposite valley. See image below (score lines are marked in pencil).

step 3 | Fold

Fold each score line: the longer lines form mountains and the shorter lines form valleys.

step 4 | Assemble

Layer the tag with the largest piece on the bottom. Add foam tape between each layer.

Finish by adding a small hole in the top of the tag and thread twine through the top and around the handle of the gift bag.

I hope these gift bags bring a smile to the recipients face when they are presented with their next Father’s Day offering! Thanks for visiting.

Hello Pebbles’ fans! Eva Pizarro here today sharing a tutorial for an interchangeable photo frame that is perfect for Father’s Day.

Create an interchangeable Photo Frame with this tutorial by @evapizarrov using @pebblesinc new line #SimpleLife.

My husband recently changed job therefore I knew that a photo frame would be the perfect gift for him. This one is interchangeable and allows him to change the picture whenever he wants.

For this gift I decided to use the Simple Life collection because I think the patterns are perfect for a man, you can find ginghams, geometric, and woodgrain. And the color palette includes blues, grays and browns.

The first thing I did was to remove the glass of my photo frame and back it with this lovely geometric paper.

Create an interchangeable Photo Frame with this tutorial by @evapizarrov using @pebblesinc new line #SimpleLife.

For my pictures I cut two 3×3 photo sleeves. One will be in the front and the other one in the back with the rest of my pictures.

Using the Frame Punch Board by our friends at we R Memory Keepers I created a 3×3 frame from this woodgrain paper.

I wanted to keep the embellishments to a minimum so I used a few die cuts and a word wood veneer.

Also, to wrap my interchangeable photo frame I used a wide orange ribbon and a small card made with one of these square sentiments.

Finally, I attached the extra photos on the back of the frame in another 3×3 photo sleeve.

And this is how my interchangeable photo frame turned out, I am sure my husband is going to love it!

I think it is really sweet and I can keep printing photos if he wants a few more! I am sure the color palette will work great in his office!
