Documenting Summer: Patio Party Style!

Hi Pebbles Friends!

Amanda here, & today I am sharing with you how I am documenting our Summer memories with the gorgeous Patio Party collection from Jen Hadfield! It’s no secret that I am an enormous fan of Jen’s designs, and Patio Party has my heart! All those bright colors just scream Summer FUN!

Here’s what I’ve created for today’s post…..

“Hello Sunshine”

Oh isn’t this sweet for Summer?!! Hearts, tropical colors, flamingos and pretty blooms! Summer Lovin’ at it’s best! And better still, it’s really easy for you to recreate!

Here’s how….

To get started, you’ll need patterned paper, Citrus Sweet (reverse side, with the stripes) , white cardstock, Patio Party Thickers,  and a heart cut file or die cut. The one I’ve used today is called Hello Hearts (from The Cut Shoppe), but you could even fussy cut your own hearts out. You’ll also need pattern paper Panels, and the 6 x 6 Paper Pad.

Trim your white cardstock to 11″ x 11″ and attach to that gorgeous striped paper. The stripes on the reverse side of Citrus Sweet are so bright and just give me that happy Summer vibe!

Back your heart cut file with papers from the 6×6 Paper Pad, and the pattern paper called Panels. It’s important to include the woodgrain paper, as it compliments the Patio Party Thickers and creates balance on the page.

Glue your paper-pieced cut file to the center of you layout, and then position the Thickers title into place – as shown above. As I am documenting a Summer memory of my darling girl, Hello Sunshine was a perfect title choice. However, if this doesn’t suit your needs, don’t worry! There are so many other words and title options in this set of Thickers; I’m sure you’ll find something that works best!

Now it’s time to prepare your Summer photograph! For this layout, I’ve used a 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ photo. Using papers from the 6 x 6 Paper Pad, I trim two patterns to 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″, and layer them beneath my photograph. I attach a flamingo and blooms ephemera, before adhering it to my page.

Time to have some fun with embellishing! I start by adding that Best Day Ever Wood Sticker to the top left hand side of my page, and popping a 6 x 12 Accent Stickers bloom beneath it. I also created a few embellishment clusters around my photo, using Ephemera, Accent Stickers and Dimensional Stickers. I added 2 more flamingos, to adorn the Sunshine element of my title, and a few more blooms scattered on my hearts. Oh, and don’t forget those 3 super cute buzzy bee stickers – So cute!

If you love a really ‘clean’ layout, then this is complete! But if you just need a lil’ more pop of color for your Summer themes, then see below….

With a fine brush & steady hand, apply hot pink watercolor to your layout focal points.  Add a few splatters for good measure! I even added a few tiny droplets of that sky blue to balance the colors in my design.

And there you  have it! Summer memories beautifully documented with Patio Party!

Here are a few close ups for you….

Such a gorgeous color scheme! And those flamingos are just perfection!

Loving that woodgrain element, especially with the pops of hot pink!

I just adore the blooms in that embellishment cluster!

SO very beautiful!

I hope I have inspired you to start documenting your favorite Summer moments too!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Happy Arty Days, Amanda xo

Masculine Cards

Hi everyone.  Heather Leopard is here with a few Masculine cards for the men in your life.

Masculine Cards by Heather Leopard Pebbles using @JenHadfield #PatioParty collection #cards #madewithpebbles

Yes, there’s a bow or two and even a flower but these were made with men in mind so they are Masculine-ish. I mean men often bring their ladies flowers, am I right?!?!

For the first card, I selected three 2″ x 2″ cards with sentiments that remind me of every day with the father of my children.  They are perfect for this with their wood grain, grey concrete like backgrounds. I alternated them placing two on the left at the top and bottom and one on the right in the middle.

Next…bugs!  I added elements in the blank spaces, including a dragon fly, bees and a bow.

For the next thing, I covered the card with a blue background and used a 3″x4″ wood-grained card, backed with a patterned paper.  I then added the stringed lights banner to the card using 3D foam for dimension and added a bow.  I thought I was done with the card at that point but I decided to cover the white flowers printed under “stay awhile” with colorful flowers, also adhered with 3D foam.

Thinking back on it, I think this card could be more masculine by not adding that colored flower and sticking with the white printed flower cluster but I also love this version and many guys wear pink with confidence!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

xoxo, Heather

Hello everyone! It’s Eva Pizarro on the blog today showing you how to make a quick and easy Father’s Day Accordion Mini Album using the gorgeous Patio Party line.

Make a quick and easy Father's Day Accordion Mini Album with this tutorial from @evapizarrov using the new Patio Party collection by @pebblesinc

This mini album was easy and super fun to make! I included pictures of my husband and son, some words my son told me to write and even a small drawing! I am sure my husband is going to love it!

Start by cutting two strips of white cardstock 8 cm tall. (you can use any size you want)

Glue the two strips together and use your Mini Score Board to score your paper at 8 cm, 16 cm, 32 cm, 40 cm. Cut your paper at 48 cm wide.

Bend the two sides over the central part of your mini album.

Next, I used my 6×6 inch paper pad to decorate my accordion mini album. I also included two 7×7 cm pictures on the back of the mini.

I asked my son to draw something on this blank page and he decided to make a heart. He also wanted to write “daddy I love you” so I helped him out.

On the main accordion mini album page, I put a big photo and some decorations. I used die cuts and stickers from this lovely collection. I love the versatility of this line!

The cover is divided in two and to keep everything together I used a banner and some twine.

Remember to cut all the elements of your cover! I cut my “Happy” word in two so I could open the accordion mini album easily.

See how easy it was? A small but cute mini album that I am sure your husband is going to love. You can make the accordions longer to include more pictures, drawings or sweet words.

It’s Party Time on the Patio with Guest Designer Flóra Farkas!

Hi Ladies! I am so happy to be the Pebbles Guest Designer this month. I created two 12×12 scrapbook layouts with the colorful Patio Party collection. I hope you will like them.

For the first layout I cut out a cake from white cardstock and backed with Pati Party papers and light pink cardstock. Once the base was done I decorated the cake.

It's time to celebrate—we've got @floramfarkas on the blog today and she's made 2 beautiful birthday pages from the #patioparty @tatertotsandjello collection!

I got the idea of decoration from the cake die cuts from the collection. The flowers look so pretty on the cakes, so I added many Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers and Layered Stickers. I also found few lemons what perfectly matches the theme.

In the middle, I placed a small wooden table with the sentiment. On the right I placed my photo and over those lovely balloons. The title comes from the Forever My Always collection what coordinates perfectly with Patio Party.

The second layout is the pair of the previous one because I used a photo from the same birthday. The 12×12 Paper Pad includes gorgeous gold foil papers and I grabbed this one with the tiny dots and cut out different size hexagons. I scattered them around the page and placed my photo.

I embellished around with cute Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers and Layered Stickers. I also created a cluster on the right upper corner just to balance my page.

Again I used Forever My Always Thickers for the title. I really love the shine of the gold elements and the pops of pink on the page.

This collection is truly perfect for all your birthday and party memories. I was so happy to play with it and create these layouts. I hope you also like them in inspires you to make something pretty with Patio Party.

Make these easy Thank You cards in no time with this tutorial from @evapizarrov with the new Patio Party collection by @pebblesinc

To create these cards start by cutting a few 2 x 2-inch squares and punch all the sides with your Frame Punch Board. I love the design this board leaves!

Use foam dots to give dimension to your tags and embellishments.

You can create different designs with your squares, for this card, for example, I placed them at a 45-degree angle and only used 2 patterned papers.
