Red, White & Blue Pinwheel Decor

Hello there! Amy from The Happy Scraps here today and I’m excited to be sharing my newest Red, White & Blue Pinwheel Decor piece with you today. I love to decorate for Independence Day and the new America the Beautiful collection is perfect for it.

Create this Red, White & Blue Pinwheel Decor to use as a centerpiece or decor for Independence Day. @thehappyscraps show you how with the #americathebeautiful collection from @pebblesinc.

To start off, I grabbed the Patriotic Posies Paper and used the gift bag punch board to make a little bag for my pinwheels. I cut my paper to be 7″ x 12″ and followed the instruction on the gift bag punch board to make my bag. I used the Sticky Thumb Two-Sided adhesive tape to put my bag together. I embellished the front with the fireworks and Pledge of Allegiance from the America the Beautiful Ephemera Die-Cuts. I hot glued a piece of floral foam into the bottom of my bag, so I’d be able to stick the pinwheels down into it.

Once I had my bag done, I started on the pinwheels. I cut my paper into 4″ squares and followed the instructions on the pinwheel punch board.

I punched the corners, lined up the paper with the size I started with. I punched the center hole and cut where it needed to be cut. Because I was layering the pinwheels, I followed the instructions for cutting the second piece.

I got all my papers cut, got my pinwheel parts out, and started assembling them. I placed the back piece of paper on the back, and layered the front piece at a diagonal on the top. I put it on the plastic part for the pinwheel, then added the front pinwheel part.

I pulled the back paper through the cuts on the front, pulled all the punched holes to the center and put them on the dowel piece. I place the front cap on, added a star sticker, and put the paper straw in the back.

Once I got all of my pinwheels made, I put them in my bag.

I had the perfect spot for it up on my shelf next to the rest of my Independence Day decor.

I love the way the pinwheels look all done up! They are SO fun!

Even though the bag was really simple to make and put together, as well as add the embellishments to it, I love the way it turned out. I was excited when I found the Pledge of Allegiance in the pack.

I love what it adds to the rest of my 4th of July decor.

One of my favorite Easter traditions is to decorate eggs! Remember all the egg dying kits you could buy to make your eggs marbled or speckled along with the stickers and rub-ons included?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Pebbles friends! We’re so excited to be well into March and enjoying a bit of spring weather here in Utah that we’re kicking off a week of fun spring-inspired posts!

Today Designer Marjan Pel is kicking our sweet celebration off with a fun spring gift box that we know you’re going to love!

Spring

Today I want to show you a gift box for my best friend here in Norway, who will go back to Germany in april. She loves gardening very much and will move to a house with a big garden.

Spring memory box created by @scrappymermaid using @PebblesInc Garden Party collection #papercraft #craft #spring

I made an accordion card with the cardmaking pad.

This pad is just perfect for cards. I adhered on every other side of this card a library pocket of cardstock which I made with an envelope punch board.

I made also some cute coin envelopes with that same punch board. The coin envelopes contain seeds and tiny bulbs of spring flowers and they fit precisely in the library pockets. You can see how I make these library pockets and coin envelopes here.

Behind every coin envelope I put a journaling card with the description for each kind of flower.

I embellished the pages with coordinating  tiny clothes pins, journaling cards and die cuts from the collection. I adhered the die cuts with foam dots to give them a bit dimension.

How to Make Paper Scrap Pencil Toppers

Paper scraps often come in handy when creating a fun little gift or dressing up a boring household item. Today Designer Holly Gagnon is sharing a fun take on using paper scraps to create cute pencil toppers.
Scraps
I was happy to see my monthly Pebbles assignment was to create a project using scraps from any Pebbles collection.  Like most of us papercrafters, I have a lot of scraps. Can’t throw them out. What if I need that one little piece?

Paper Scrap Pencil Toppers
Using my scraps from the Pebbles From Me to You collection, I put my beloved scraps to use and made a simple pencil topper gift set.
 Paper Scrap Pencil Toppers
The pennant toppers are cut at 4 x 1  inches and I ran them through the Xyron for a strong hold.
 Paper Scrap Pencil Toppers
Each pencil topper is embellished with From Me to You stickers and candy dots.

I then stuck the pencils in to a small glass jar filled with sea glass and embellished it with some more From Me to You stickers and Candy Dots.
