Mother’s Day cards

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing some easy Mother’s Day Cards. I don’t make cards very often but when I do I usually do them 3D or interactive.

I purchased some Lori Whitlock cut files from the Silhouette store to make these cards. Although it took a while to cut out all the pieces, they were really easy to assemble and the end product turned out really cute!

I think mason jars are so cute. Most of the papers I used are from the Chasing Adventure or Loves Me collections.

Here’s a closer look at the flowers. With so many pretty papers in these collections the possibilities were endless!

And one of my favorite things about these cards is that they fold flat so I can put them in an envelope! Cute right?

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing a new summer LO using the Chasing Adventure collection. If you are all like me, you probably have so many more summer photos than any other photos. Because of that, I always love to buy lots of summer themed collections. The Chasing Adventure collection is so perfect with all the bright colors and florals!

I’ve said this before, but I absolutely love fussy cutting. Especially florals! I just had to cut out these gorgeous tropical flowers and leaves.

I cut out the whole 12×12 paper and placed all the flowers and leaves from corner to corner. I layered a lot of them to add extra dimension.

The black foam thickers were the perfect contrast to the bright colors of the papers. To finish I just added a frame, stitching and some splatters.

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Egg Hunt Adventure

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new LO to share using the Chasing Adventure collection and a cut file from The Cut Shoppe. Now that my kids are no longer little, I really miss some of the traditions we had when they were little. Easter was always such a fun filled day. The Easter Bunny went all out at this house, making sure the egg hunt lasted for a while.

I started off my layout by cutting out this cut file from The Cut Shoppe. Then I backed it with pattern papers. The colors and floral patterns in this collection were really perfect for an easter themed layout.

Then I added a little mixed media to my cardstock, just so the cut file would pop more. I then added some stitching around the cut file. When I hand stitch, I don’t use a template. I punch out random holes in random distances from each other. I like this look better than when they are all even. (and it’s easier!)

Once the background was finished, it really didn’t need much more. I just added a few flower stickers and a title.

And to finish it off, I added a frame around my layout, as I almost always do!

Thanks for stopping by!

A taste of Italy

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new LO to share using the Chasing Adventure collection. My kids have always been pretty independent. From a young age they wanted to do things for themselves. I snapped these photos of them making pizza when they were about 4 and 6. I miss those days so much!

I started off my LO with the Geo Globe cut file from The Cut Shoppe. The circle and triangles pieces reminded me of a pizza and pizza slices. I backed some random pieces with pattern paper. That woodgrain paper could not have been a better match for my photos! And of course I had to stitch the pieces too!

This collection has so many fun travel themed embellishments. Although we didn’t actually go to Italy, we can eat the pizza and pretend we did right?

I then finished the LO by adding stitching to create a border and I splattered some black mist just to tie in all that black.

Step right up party invites

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing some fun birthday party invitations. Did you all get a chance to see the newest Pebbles collection that was revealed last week? It’s called Big Top Dreams. It includes bright, bold colors and fun, playful prints. It is perfect for scrapbooking, card making, party decor and more.

I purchased a few cut files from the silhouette store for this project. I was looking for idea when I came across this circus tent card and it was absolutely perfect for this collection. I used some bright not too busy patterns to create my tent. Then I added this Step Right Up sticker to the front. It turned out absolutely adorable.

For the inside I used the same paper and cut out the words You’re invited on my Cameo. I then just added a few little stickers and it was done. Such a fun and easy project!

I also made this cute little party hat with a Silhouette cut file. I cut out some half circles and glued them to the bottom to create the scallop effect. For the “pom-pom” I cut out some paper strips and curled them with my scissors. The same was as you would curl ribbon.

Seriously though, what kid wouldn’t love to receive a fun party invitation like this. Here’s a tip, fill the invitation with confetti! The parents won’t mind I swear! 😉
