Easy mini album with the Heart of Home collection

Hello friends, it’s Lucile! I find you today to make a mini album! This mini album is easy to create and you will only need three items: a pad of paper, stickers and ephemera. If you want to see the full tutorial, check out the video at the end of the article.

The album is square and opens to the front in the center. To close it, I sewed a thread on one side. To hide the seam I sewed three butterflies. It also helps to give volume to the cover. I tied a tag at the end of the thread. To close it just wrap the thread around the butterfly.

The album is built as an accordion. I added a thickness to each page to be able to add volume without distorting the album. The accordion album allows to put photos on both sides and to have two different part in the album.

I decorated the first page with stickers from the collection. For my title, I used letters cut from a paper. When you do not have a lot of embellishment do not hesitate to decorate items in your papers!

You can also use cards to decorate your pages. Most collections have papers with several cards to cut. It’s a great solution for decorating your scrapbooking albums or pages.

Finally, I present a page that mixes all these little tricks! It is possible to create mini albums without having a lot of material, just have a little imagination and a good pair of scissors! I hope this mini album and these little tips will have pleased you. Feel free to watch the video if you want to re-create the same mini album! I’ll see you soon for a new creation.

Gift box for Mother’s Day

Hello crafty friends it’ Lucile ! Today I find you for a new creation. I suggest you make a gift box for Mother’s Day. I used the collection “Loves me” to realize my box. I love this collection and I think it’s perfect for Mother’s Day! This box will allow you to slip a small gift or a card for your mother. Of course you can adapt this idea to any occasion.

To begin, I cut all the pieces to build my box in cardboard. I then assembled them with framing tape. I strengthened it so that it is solid.

Then I created my drawer. I cut a half circle in the front to make it easier to open. I covered my entire box with a paper from the collection. I did the same for my drawer also covering the interior so that it looks nicer when it is opened. To cover my box I use double-sided tape and my fold, you can also use liquid glue if you prefer.

Finally I decorated the top of my box. I pasted a paper with 3D foams to add volume. Then I wrote “mother” in the center with the alphabet of the collection. I add stickers and ephemera on the side by putting them below and above the paper. Finally I added “happy day”.

All you have to do is slip a little present in the drawer! I hope that this idea of gift box will have pleased you, I will find you soon for a new creation!

Organize your memories of spring !

Hello friends it’s Lucile ! Today I find you for a new project ! I suggest you make a mini album with pockets to organize your memories of spring. To make this mini album I used the collection “Heart Of Home” by Jen Hadfield. You can find the video of the complete tutorial at the end of the article.

To make the cover I used cardboard. Then I covered it with different papers from the collection. I wanted to make the slice with a different paper. I decorated it with stickers and die cuts. I ended up adding my title to the slice.

Inside I started by creating a pocket with four compartments: one for each month. I used four envelopes that I stuck together. I then covered the front of my pocket with a paper and I created another cover to slip a tag. I ended up decorating with die cuts and stickers. I created tabs with a punch and attached them to my photos to catch them easily in the pockets.

For the left part, I created a larger pocket. I cut the top so I could slide things in more easily. I decorated it with several embellishments of the collection.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and that it will help you organize your photos. We meet again very soon for a new realization !
