Easter Egg Fights with Marcia

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. I am sharing an Easter layout with you today created with the Pebble’s Loves Me collection as well as the Chasing Adventures collection. I love the floral patterns in the Loves Me collection. They work perfectly for Spring projects too. It’s definitely not just another Valentine’s Day collection. I wanted to use green pattern paper too though. In Spring everything becomes green again. I found just what I needed in the Chasing Adventures collection; a light green polka dot pattern as well as a darker green plaid pattern. I used the pattern papers to fill in the negative space in a gorgeous floral cut file as well as the inside of my alphas in my title.

When my extended family gathers for Easter, it’s a tradition for us to hold an Easter egg fight tournament. I created a large EASTER title to span my page. Then I used a script font to complete the title. I love combining fonts to make my titles more interesting and dramatic. I added a bird from the Loves Me ephemera pack and a few punched butterflies as well.

Backing cut files with pattern papers is a fabulous way to use up paper scraps. I added some foam tape behind the cut file to pop it up from the background paper.

What a beautiful way to use scraps, don’t you think! Have a great week.

It’s A Girl!

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. Our theme this week has been party invites. Since I am helping to plan a baby shower for my nephew and his new wife who are expecting a girl, I decided to go with a baby shower theme. The Pebbles Loves Me collection was perfect with all those pretty pink pattern papers and cute die cut ephemera pieces and stickers. I found this cute umbrella bag digital cut file at SVGcuts and could not wait to make these. They are going to look so fabulous on tables at the baby shower! I could fill them with snacks. They would also be awesome as small gift bags.

Each umbrella is created from two different pattern papers. They are not full umbrellas, rather the back is flat. This left space for me to stamp “It’s A Girl!” and then embellish with die cuts and stickers. Each one is different.

There are adorable sloths adorning the handles of each umbrella as well as bows.

Don’t pack your Loves Me collection away just yet … Valentines Day is over, but this collection can do double duty for baby girls, Easter, Mother’s Day and so much more!

Cuties on a scrapbook layout with Terhi

Hello Pebbles Fans! Terhi Koskinen here, first time of our new designing term and I’m very excited!
I know it is almost a week since Valentine’s Day, but still I want to share this pinky, hearty and very very lovely layout with you.
Maybe it can inspire you to use your left overs from the Valentine’s Day crafts, and just to be like me and use the pinks and hearts through the year. ‘Loves Me’ collection is full of patterns and embellishments that can be used all year long, not only once in February.

Sometimes starting a layout might feel tricky or even hard if you don’t have a plan or idea in your mind. If I feel lost in the beginning, one of my favorite tricks is to cut tons of paper and build a background using the small pieces. For this layout I cut several 1″x1″ sized square pieces from four different patterned papers, and adhered them neatly on white cardstock using foam dots.

Once the background was ready, the creative flow was already captured my mind completely and I didn’t struggle anymore to continue.
I glued down couple of black and white photos, to be specific the photos are copies, and started to build up the embellishments. I had the same photo available on colors too, but I think black and white photos makes the reds and pinks shine even more!

The embellishments are all from the ‘Loves Me’ collection too. I picked up some sweet ephemera pieces, and fussy cut more flowers from patterned papers. The koalas are stickers, but I also used some foam tape to adhere them, and to make them more dimensional at the same time.

Lastly I took my brand new ‘Stay Sweet’ watercolour set from American Crafts and started watercoloring the background. Red and green are complementary colors, and by adding small amount of other (green) it highlights the other (red) beautifully.

Hope your day is full of love!

Terhi xx

Mail box with Loves Me collection

Hello everyone, it’s Lucile ! Today, I find you for my first article on the blog!

Today I would like to help you make a box to store all your cards. I wanted to make it in the form of a mailbox.

To make my box, I used cardboard (but you can use a box that you already have and cover it). I chose papers from the collection “Loves me” to cover my box. For the roof, I cut two half circles that I stuck to my box. I added an additional paper to form a round side. I also cut a slot on the front to make it look like a true mailbox. After this was complete, I decorated it with stickers and die cuts from the collection.

I wanted to reproduce the mechanism that mailboxes have on the side. So I cut a strip of cardboard that I stuck to my box and I decorated it by writing “hapy mail”

Inside my box, I created different dividers to sort my cards. I used the tab punch board to create my tabs.

Finally, I decorated tabs and I added the titles of my categories. I hope you have enjoyed this creation, I’ll see you soon for new adventures!

You have my heart LO

Hi everyone, Michelle here today sharing my very first LO as a design team member. Since it’s Valentine’s month, I decided to use the Loves Me collection for my first project. This collection is just so pretty with all the pinks and reds, just perfect for this sweet photo of my girl.

I started off this LO by cutting out a cut file from The Cut Shoppe on my Silhouette Cameo. I used white AC cardstock and backed it with pretty papers. I felt like I needed all the hearts on this page.

I recently purchased a sewing machine. I’ll be honest, I was terrified at first because I had never used one. To my surprise it’s so much easier to use than I expected! I stitched a simple line across all the hearts. I really love the effect that simple stitching added to my LO. It’s all about the details right?

My favorite thing in a paper collection is florals. I can’t get enough of them and this collection doesn’t disappoint! It is all so very pretty!

Thanks for stopping by!
