Mini album for Valentine’s Day

Hello crafty friends, it’s Lucile! Today I find you to make a new mini album! As you probably know, I love making mini albums! For this new mini I have chosen a Valentine’s Day theme. Single or couple, nothing prevents us from having fun with the magnificent collections of Pebbles! In addition to my album, I created a box to be able to had memories or a nice gift. I made it with my Silhouette Cameo. I simply cut out a box pattern which I glued. Then I sewn hearts on the cover to add volume.

To create my mini album I used cardstock. I started by making my cover. My album is 14×14 cm and it is 7cm thick. I made a classic album structure which I covered with paper from the collection.

For the binding, I was inspired by the travelers notebook. I drilled 11 holes at the top and bottom of my slice. Then I used elastic thread. I connected each hole diagonally to add a decorative side. Finally, I added a heart die cut in the center to add volume to my binding.

Inside my album, I slipped my pages. I cut them out from different papers in the collection. I love this binding because you can add as many pages as you want!

To finish, I decorated my cover. This is what I prefer when I make a mini album. I glued a lighter paper to be able to add decorations. Then I created a frame to remind my background. I added die cuts and foam embellishments. I added 3D foam to give a volume effect to my cover.

I hope you like this mini album, I can’t wait to see your achievements! See you soon for new creations. Kisses!

Spring Vibes and Acrylic Paints with Terhi

Hello Pebbles Fans!
Terhi Koskinen here back with you and I’m very happy to share this layout just now in the end of May. Everything outside is green, at least here in Finland and I can also bath in the beauty of flowers and blooms! Even on my way to work I can smell how the apple trees are blooming. Spring is my favourite, absolute favourite!

To bring the lovely spring vibe on to the scrapbook layout can be a bit tricky, but don’t worry at all as I have couple of tricks to help you out. And also a step-by-step process video in the end of this post to show you exactly how to create a layout like mine!
First, make sure your photos are presenting the kind of spring you wish to spread out through the layout. For example, it will be hard (if not possible) to make bring spring vibes to a layout if the photo on the layout shows the face of Santa Claus.
Instead, take your photos from outside and make sure there is something green showing. Or even better, take some photos of your favourite blooms and go with that!

Second trick for a spring layout is to fussy cut blooms and flowers as much as possible. I mixed couple of the latest Pebbles collections to make sure I have lots and lots of different shaped blooms. The ephemera pieces, patterned papers and the biggest fussy cut blooms are from Chasing Adventures, all other flowers from Loves Me. I like to avoid too busy layouts, but a good mix of different shaped, sized and coloured blooms are definitely very important key to bring the spring vibes onto your page.

Third and last trick to spring layout is green. Like I said in the first paragraph, the world here looks like it’s all green. If you looks closely, you can see there are hundreds of different shades and tones of greens outside. It’s important to bring the same idea to your page.
Pick different greens to your layout: to the background, to the ephemera pieces and to the fussy cut leaves. Also, the photo(s) will bring you another tone of green.

As said earlier, I’ve got a video tutorial for you. Enjoy watching!

3 Things to Create a Scrapbook Page

Hey all! Terhi here with layout I’m super excited about. Our theme this week is to use three types of things to create a project. For me this sounds a challenge, but definitely something very inspiring! Let me show you what I did and how.

Three things for a project can be actually quite much. First thing I chose was paper. Paper is the background, and paper will be what makes the embellishments, title and everything else too!

Second thing is scissors! Well, to be honest I could also say paper cutting tools as I used paper trimmer and two different sized scissors.
Third, and last thing is another set of one type of things: Adhesives. There’s glue, double sided tape and foam dots all used.

To create this page I had an idea about thin squares adhered on the background with a bit different adhesives. I started by cutting the squares. Sure you can go and cut it all with electronic cutting machine, but I wanted to do it myself. The largest square is about 7″ x 7″ and all the squares are about 3/4″ wide.

First I adhered the largest one with thin foam dots. I used a ruler to adhere it straight, and then I didn’t need the ruler for other squares. Second square is adhered with thick foam dots, the third one with only double sided tape. You can see all the shadows and different dimensions!

The photograph is like framed, as it is inside the smallest square. All embellishments, paper flowers, and fussy cut out from paper Bouquet of Love, from collection Loves Me. Fussy cutting can take time, but it is totally worth the trouble!

Even thought there aren’t any of my most used elements, I think this page is quite fun and fresh. Hope you like it too!
Wishing you a day full of love!

Mother’s Day cards

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing some easy Mother’s Day Cards. I don’t make cards very often but when I do I usually do them 3D or interactive.

I purchased some Lori Whitlock cut files from the Silhouette store to make these cards. Although it took a while to cut out all the pieces, they were really easy to assemble and the end product turned out really cute!

I think mason jars are so cute. Most of the papers I used are from the Chasing Adventure or Loves Me collections.

Here’s a closer look at the flowers. With so many pretty papers in these collections the possibilities were endless!

And one of my favorite things about these cards is that they fold flat so I can put them in an envelope! Cute right?

Thanks for stopping by!

Gift box for Mother’s Day

Hello crafty friends it’ Lucile ! Today I find you for a new creation. I suggest you make a gift box for Mother’s Day. I used the collection “Loves me” to realize my box. I love this collection and I think it’s perfect for Mother’s Day! This box will allow you to slip a small gift or a card for your mother. Of course you can adapt this idea to any occasion.

To begin, I cut all the pieces to build my box in cardboard. I then assembled them with framing tape. I strengthened it so that it is solid.

Then I created my drawer. I cut a half circle in the front to make it easier to open. I covered my entire box with a paper from the collection. I did the same for my drawer also covering the interior so that it looks nicer when it is opened. To cover my box I use double-sided tape and my fold, you can also use liquid glue if you prefer.

Finally I decorated the top of my box. I pasted a paper with 3D foams to add volume. Then I wrote “mother” in the center with the alphabet of the collection. I add stickers and ephemera on the side by putting them below and above the paper. Finally I added “happy day”.

All you have to do is slip a little present in the drawer! I hope that this idea of gift box will have pleased you, I will find you soon for a new creation!
