Hi friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today with another quick little gift idea! If you know me, you know I love to put together quick little gifts to share with family and friends. It’s not so much the actual gift – but just the excuse to drop by and visit, to let someone know I’m thinking of them. That’s my favorite part of gift-giving! When I’m looking for a quick gift to put together, I usually turn to food. I know…I know…no lectures…but something about a sweet treat just feels right – and, well, sweet! So here’s a little peek at some quick and easy little gifts you can put together to share with someone on St. Patrick’s Day this year. Remember – quick and easy and SWEET! That’s the key! 🙂 Here’s the pile of GREEN treats I pulled together.
And here’s the same pile of treats after I gave them a little bit of St. Patrick’s Day love!
Want a few details? OK – for the “St. P” goodie box, I started with a pre-made kraft box and two shamrocks – one cut from gold embossed paper and one green patterned shamrock. To give the shamrock a “dipped” look, I cut the gold shamrock, then layered the two together. After adding the gold glitter letters, I put all the treats in the box. Now I have a box full of treats to share with a friend – best of all, it was quick and easy!
Next up, a bucket full of gumballs! This one is simply a green bucket filled with green gumballs. The St. Patrick-ifying came in the form of a cute little tag. I simply added three epoxy dots to form a shamrock on a little pre-printed card. Add a little stem cut from green paper, punch a hole, and tie to the bucket handle.
Now for the bottled soda! This one is quick and easy too. Cut a piece of gold foiled polka-dot paper and wrap around the bottle. Cut three shamrocks, layer them together, stitch down the center, and fluff! Now add the shamrock to the front of the bottle. Simple, right? And so festive!
And finally, adding a little luck to these delicious mints is easy! Wrap the gold dot paper around the mints, securing on the back with a bit of clear tape. Then add sticker letters to spell out “LUCKY!”
See how easy it is to make a sweet treat even sweeter? Now the only thing left to do is deliver these treats with lots of luck – and love!
