Be Happy Layout

Happy New Year!  Renee here to share a Be Happy layout using the Holly Jolly collection.  I never do New Year’s Resolutions only because I know I cannot keep them.  Ha!  Instead, I look through Pinterest to find an uplifting quote to think about throughout the new year.  I found this one perfect for 2017:

And, here’s the layout I created:

I started this layout by using the Holiday Village pattern paper as my background.  I added some splatters of Golden Color Mist where my quote would be on the page.  I love how pretty the Ivy Thickers look on this snowy page.

I added a ½” strip of the Oh Deer pattern paper along the bottom of the page.  I used my Magnetic Staple Board to add a 4 ½” x 4 ½” photo of my girls out in the snow.  Love how easy it is to use and that I can add my photo anywhere on the page!  I stamped the “New Year 2017” using my Roller Stamp above my quote.

I used the large stapler with a rose gold staple.  I decided not to add layers this time underneath my photo or to even mat my photo at all.  I just wanted to enjoy my sweet photo on this pretty snowy background.

I love seeing the shine of the Golden Color Mist underneath the quote.

I added a cardinal and berry leaves Stickers and poinsettia flower Die-Cuts to embellish my Be Happy layout.

Geometric Summer Fruit

Hello Pebbles Fans!  Amanda here today.  Most of the time I don’t eat as much whole fruit as I should, but during the summer that all changes.  There’s nothing quite as satisfying as diving face first into a slice of watermelon or stuffing my cheeks with fresh grapes.   Inspired by Pebbles’ bright patterned papers, I set out to make some cute, geometric summer fruit to display all summer long.

Geometric Summer Fruit by @amanda_coleman1 using @pebblesinc patterned paperI couldn’t resist turning back to my favorite Pebbles watermelon paper.  The only thing that makes me sad is that I can’t eat it.  The shape of these fruits may cause you to think abstractly.  I have never seen such an angular lemon, but it is charming.  Each of these fruits is made with patterned paper from a different Pebbles collection.

Geometric Summer Fruit by @amanda_coleman1 using @pebblesinc patterned paperAdd a rolled paper stem and a hand cut leaf to oranges, apples, or even little cherries.

Geometric Summer Fruit by @amanda_coleman1 using @pebblesinc patterned paperThis watermelon box looks yummy enough to eat.   Adhere a strip of green paper to the base of the box to create the rind.

Geometric Summer Fruit by @amanda_coleman1 using @pebblesinc patterned paperWhile these geometric fruit boxes would make lovely décor or a centerpiece, they can also be used as little treat boxes.  Fill the boxes with yummy treats before you adhere the last opening.

Geometric Summer Fruit by @amanda_coleman1 using @pebblesinc patterned paperAll of these boxes were made using a triangle score guide.  Simple insert the triangle score guide into any score board and you can score perfect triangles from which all of these different shaped boxes are created.

Geometric Summer Fruit by @amanda_coleman1 using @pebblesinc patterned paperAfter the triangle score lines are created, follow the instructions in the manual to cut out the shapes for each box.  I quickly drew the cut lines on the inside of the paper I was using.  No need to draw pretty lines–you’ll make them nice and straight when you cut out your shape.

Three Collections, Three Father’s Day Cards

Hey y’all!  Amanda here today with some Father’s Day cards you can throw together in a jiffy.  I love making Father’s Day cards because they can be remarkably non-fussy.  Most often there is no lace, no glitter, and no flowers.  Father’s Day lends itself to fun, simple cards.  Use any one of your favorite Pebbles collections to make a great looking Father’s Day card.

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections. As I was looking through Pebbles’ recent collections for masculine prints and themes for Father’s Day, I noticed that every collection had components that were distinctly masculine.  Even the collections with a more feminine feel had prints and elements that could easily be used for masculine projects such as Father’s Day cards.  I used Cottage Living, Happy Day, and Fun in the Sun to create three different Father’s Day cards.

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections. Can you tell I was feeling a little artsy-fartsy when I put this card together?  I really don’t like getting messy, but sometimes a design just calls for it.  I have been itching to try the alphabet masks from the Cottage Living collection for a while now, and lemme tell ya, they are fantastic!  I paired them with some gooey spackle to create a one of a kind sentiment.  This delicious woodgrain paper is also from the Cottage Living collection.

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections. There is no magic to my spackling method.  In fact, I just made it up.  Simply place the alphabet masks on a piece of patterned paper and apply a bit of craft spackle with a popsicle stick.  Spread it around on top of the alphabet masks until you get a texture and thickness that you are happy with.

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections.Remove the alphabet masks right after you apply the spackle when it is nice and wet.  Use a vinyl weeding tool, or other sharp object, to grab the letters and gently peel them off of the card.  Allow the spackle to dry and it is ready to cut and embellish.

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections. In my family, our grandpa was always known as Gramps.  This affectionate nickname has now passed down to my dad.  Father’s Day sentiments don’t have to be complicated or wordy.  A  name on a card with Gramp’s favorite hobby is just right for the old guy.

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections.I can’t line up Thickers in a straight line to save my life.  I’m all for whimsy on occasion, but I am just uptight enough that most of my sentiments need to be  perfectly straight.  To get my sentiments just right, I use the grid on my cutting mat to line up the paper and a ruler.  I place my Thickers on the ruler and everything comes out just fine.  OCD panic attack diverted!

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections.I really enjoyed making tall cards for summer, so I thought I’d also make a tall card for dear ol’ dad.  Using cardstock stickers from the Happy Day collection, I embellished the card with a variety of icons that represents dad’s favorite hobbies.

Father's Day Cards by @amanda_coleman1 using three different @pebblesinc collections. These uber masculine woodgrain Thickers make a perfectly simple sentiment.  Keep those buggers from falling off of the card by securing them with a machine stitch or two.

Have a very Happy Father’s Day!

Hello Pebbles Inc. Fans! Holly here from Ribbons & Glue sharing with you a Father’s Day Card and Treat Box set made from the Home Grown collection and Silhouette cut files.

Father's Day Card and Treat Box made with @pebblesinc Home Grown collection designed by @ribbonsandglue

Anytime I see a gnome, I’m reminded of my Dad. If it wasn’t for my Mother, my Dad would have a whole area of {tacky} lawn art displayed around the yard. This is why gnomes remind me of my Dad. Since, the Home Grown collection contains a few of these cute lil’ guys, I knew it would be the perfect choice to use for a Father’s Day gift.

I used my Silhouette and a Leaf Window Box cut file to make the Treat Box and adhered a piece of clear cello behind the window to keep the candy inside the box, Mike and Ikes, Dad’s fav. Of course, I also had to adhere a cute lil’ gnome on the front of the box too.

Father’s Day Gift Idea

Welcome to the Pebbles blog! Becki here to share with you an easy Father’s Day Gift Idea. What dad doesn’t love a six pack of his favorite drink? I created a cute tag to go along with my Father’s Day Gift – a six pack of “pop”.

Father's Day Gift Idea created by @jbckadams for @Pebblesinc

This Father’s Day Gift was so easy to put together with a die set from the Cottage Living collection and a few supplies from the new Fun in the Sun collection.

Father's Day Gift Idea created by @jbckadams for @Pebblesinc

I started by using the die set to cut some frames and a few other basic shapes from a piece of patterned paper.

Father's Day Gift Idea created by @jbckadams for @Pebblesinc

Then I adhered the frame to a piece of lined patterned paper and added some Thickers as part of the sentiment.

Then I cut around the frame with a pair of sharp scissors and finished the sentiment with my hand writing. I added a layered sticker to the corner of the frame.

I punched a hole in the corner of the tag and threaded some twine through the hole.

I attached this to the six pack of pop with a ribbon and tied the tag to the ribbon.
