Warm & Cozy Geometric Boxes and Scraps Card

Hi Pebbles friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing my take on the “geometric shape” challenge.  I took a totally different direction on the challenge, and perhaps you won’t even be able to tell that I took the challenge at all…yet.  First though, let me share these super fun little treat boxes using the “Warm & Cozy” collection, along with the Candy Box punchboard to create these boxes.  I felt like this collection was just perfect for all things “gifty” for autumn, so this combination seemed like a natural fit.  Plus, the punchboard makes kind of a geometric-ish shape, right?  Ok, I know it might be a bit of a stretch, but I love the results anyway!

I made 3 different sizes of boxes and I embellished each one with various pieces from the collection. Here’s a closer look at each of the three boxes.

And here’s a look at the punchboard I used to make them.  The directions are printed right on the box, so it’s super easy to use.

Cut the paper to 7 inches wide, and any length you want for each box.  I made one 9 inches, one 7 inches, and one 5 inches.

After cutting the paper to the desired size, just follow the step-by-step instructions to complete each box.  This is where the real “geometric” portion of my project comes into play.  You see, when you follow the steps for the box, you punch out these diamond shapes.

If you make several boxes, you’ll end up with lots of different patterned diamond shapes.  Now, it just wouldn’t be right to let these cute shapes go to waste, right?

Here’s now I used them!  I lined them up and put them on the front of a card.  How’s that for being frugal and creating something fun too?!?

Hello Everyone! It’s Leanne here today to share with you this simple but elegant project, perfect for a housewarming or neighbour gift. Using the idea of geometric shapes, a white photo frame and your favourite Pebbles Inc paper collection, this gift can be created in little time at all. All you need to do is play with 1” paper strips!

Create a quick and easy house warming gift using geometric shapes as your inspiration and the #warm&cozycollection from @PebblesInc & @leanne_allinson.

Start by gathering your supplies. I’ve used the gorgeous Warm & Cozy Collection by Jen Hadfield.

I have chosen to recreate a geometric heart shape to fit within the borders of a matt mounted photo frame. The width of my triangles is equivalent to 1”.

Start by trimming 1” paper strips from the selected patterned papers. I have used four different patterns to create interest, including the reverse side of some of the patterned paper pieces. Using the 1” paper strip as a guide, trim at 1” intervals to create miniature squares. Finally trim these squares on the diagonal to provide the triangles for your geometric shape.

Arrange paper triangles so that no two create a colour block within your shape. Fussy cut small bunches of flowers from a coordinating patterned paper.

Adhere all of the triangles onto a light based patterned paper. Trim this patterned paper to fit your selected frame. Next, layer the geometric shape with the fussy cut flowers, mounting some of them with foam tape for dimension. Add some enamel dots plus a Gold Foil Foam Thicker to represent your family name, just above the flower cluster.

The “Home Sweet Home” banner was created using the border strip from the Warm & Cozy Sprigs paper. It was trimmed and bordered with cardstock.  Leave the cardstock length to extend past the sentiment and fold the ends to form the banner. Place a notch in the each end of the banner and mount on foam tape at the bottom of the framed heart.

All that remains now is for you to decide if you wish to keep your framed project or who the lucky person will be to receive it! Thanks for visiting..x
