How to give New Life for Old Frames with Terhi

Hello lovely Pebbles Fans!
It’s Terhi Koskinen here back with you. It’s Christmas Eve, so I wish you the most wonderful Christmas, or Happy Holidays, no matter what you are celebrating!
Instead of keeping the Holiday theme on mind, my thoughts are already running to the upcoming year.

Usually New year is time for everything new. All new doesn’t have to be brand new, you can also renew existing things if possible. That’s what I like to do, and for making some small home decoration pieces I took couple of frames I’m not using anymore and started altering them for new use.

The frames are very basic, white and cheap, perfect starting point for quick altering! My idea was to make them, or at least one of them, for my office wall to remind me of important things like gratitude, home, family and love. I took my most favorite Pebbles collection ever: Along the Way, and started playing with the butterflies, flowers, houses and much more.

The creating process was simple. Paint the frames, make a background, choose the title and add embellishments. But to explain more and show you all the details, I recorded a process video.

Hopefully the video inspires you to start your own project. Like these frames, the project doesn’t have to be huge and time-consuming. As long as it cheers up your mood, gives you positive energy and happiness, you’re on the right track!

Hi, Renee here today to share a Mother’s Day Card and Frame Gift Set using the Jen Hadfield Everyday collection.  I used this photo of my girls in a Spring layout a few weeks ago.  I decided to include it in a gift for my mom since she doesn’t have this photo.  I love this photo so much and I know she will too.

The Layered Frames make a perfect gift!  I’m so happy I hoarded it for a special project.  😉  As I mentioned before, my mom has an amazing green thumb.  Since her garden always looks so pretty (and she loves the color green), I wanted to include lots of greenery and pretty flowers on this frame.

Here’s a step-by-step tutorial of how I put together the Layered Frames:

  1. I gathered the Layered Frames, Pretty Peonies and Tropical Delight pattern papers, and some adhesive.
  2. I added adhesive to the photo part of the frame and used a brayer tool to make sure my Tropical Delight pattern   paper was pressed flat against the frame.
  3. I trimmed the pattern paper using a craft knife and my Cutting Mat.
  4. I printed my photo to a 5″ x 7″, added adhesive, and trimmed around the frame again.
  5. I added adhesive to the 8 ¾” x 10 ¾” part of the frame and added the Pretty Peonies pattern paper to it.
  6. I centered my photo frame and adhered it to the base part of the frame.

It’s SO simple and looks SO cute!  To embellish my frame, I made a pretty paper flower:

  1. I gathered the Gemstones pattern paper, my Flower Punch Board, green cardstocks, and a gold circle stickers.
  2. I used both sides of the pattern paper to create the layers of this flower.  I layered two XXS (3″ dia.) flowers with one XS (4″ dia.) flower.  My two sets of leaves measure 2″ and 2 ½”.  You can see how I made some paper flowers using the Flower Punch Board here.
  3. I used a brad to attach all the flowers layers together with the larger leaves.
  4. I used my Mini Hot Glue Gun to adhere my flower and leaves to the frame.  All done!

I made a simple window cutout style card.  Inside is a pretty flower for my Mama and we’ll write her a special note.

Here’s a step-by-step tutorial of how I put together the window cutout style card:

  1. My card base measures 5″ x 7″.  I trimmed a 4 7/8″ x 6 7/8″ piece of the Gemstones pattern paper and adhered a 2 ¼” x 4 7/8″ piece of the Pretty Peonies pattern paper along the bottom.  I added some Decorative Tape along top of the Pretty Peonies pattern paper.  I used the corner punch before adding it all to my card base.
  2. I punched a 3 ½” scalloped circle and then centered and adhered it to the top portion of my card.
  3. I used a 3″ circle template and my Cutting Mat to create my window cutout.
  4. I adhered a flower Die-Cut inside my card and made sure to center it so it can be seen through the window cutout.  I used the corner punch on my card base and I added a stamped sentiment to finish off the card.

Hello friends! Becki here, to show you how to make a wrapped Polaroid frame. As Summer is winding down I’m starting to print the dozens (okay, maybe hundreds) of photos. I wrapped a couple of frames and added the frames to the photos on this layout.

Today we have Designer Renee Zwirek, who’s sharing a fantastic baby scrapbook layout that incorporates Pebbles hang tags and frames.

Hang Tags and Frames

Garden Party was the perfect collection for this photo of Payton on her 1st birthday. She was wearing a really cute shamrock dress for her St. Patrick’s Day birthday and since there was a lot of white in her photo, the collection’s mix of greens, blues, pinks, and pops of yellow and orange were a great contrast. I had a lot of fun with the hang tag and frames for this layout. The designs are fun and the deep colors are wonderful.

For the bracket-style frame, I paired it with the lovely butterfly pattern paper.

For the blue gingham frame, I added some vellum underneath to mute the background design and layered some pretty flowers and leaves to it. I also added a number Thicker for her age and an adorable bumble bee, with some Graphite Zazz! Glitter Glue to the bee’s stripes.

For the pink scallop frame, I added a black polka dot pattern paper. I machine stitched a “love you so” sentiment banner to the frame and added a sweet paper clip with bow. I also added a glitter foam letter “P” Thicker for her name.

The “BABY” Watermark Rub-On works out perfectly and was placed in the corner of the photo. Baby is our nickname for Payton. In this case I did put baby in the corner, but it has nothing to do with that famous movie with that famous line. I used a hang tag in my layering and added twine and some fun phrases to it.
