Frame for friends

Hello crafty friends, it’s Lucile! Today I find you for a new article. I hope you are doing well and that you take advantage of this special time to do scrapbooking. Right now I’m stuck at home and I wanted to offer you a project to enhance your photos with your friends! I wanted to make a nice paper frame to stick my best memories on! For this, I used my Cameo silhouette cutting machine and I assembled my frame.

To make this frame I used the Sun and fun collection, I love this collection it is very colorful, it will also be perfect for summer! The first step was to create new embellishments. For this, I cut patterns that pleased me in the papers of the collection. I chose flowers and lemons.

Then, I glued all of my elements by adding 3D foam to add volume. I added pink dots and a die cut at the top of my first frame.

For the background of my frame, I chose a lined pink paper to stay in the colors of my decoration. I wanted to add a touch of couture. For this, I cut three strips of paper and I sewed them together, I love the result! Finally I pasted my photo.

For the last part of my frame, I did something very simple. I pasted my photo in the center and added a die cuts at the bottom. Finally, I stuck a garland on my frame.
I hope you enjoyed this creation with the Sun and fun collection. See you soon.

Hi Pebbles Friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here and today I’m going to share a quick and easy Thanksgiving decor project.  I know how busy everyone is this time of year, but it’s still important to make time to do the things you love…and if paper crafting and home decorating are things you love…I have the perfect project for you!  This framed piece can be whipped up in a matter of minutes and will add a personal and festive touch to your home during the Thanksgiving season!  Keep reading to see how easy it is!

Quick and Easy Thanksgiving Decor project by @WendySue for @PebblesInc with the "Midnight Haunting" collection

Start by cutting a circle from patterned paper (be sure it’s slightly smaller than the frame you will be using):

The next step is optional, but adds a fun touch.  Use your sewing machine to sew around the circle two or three times.  The lines don’t have to be straight, in fact, it’s better if they aren’t!

Next, cut the words “thankful” and “blessed” or any other word you’d like to use with a digital cutting machine.  If you don’t have one, use some of your favorite Thickers or other letter stickers!  I cut mine from off-white cardstock and glued them on:

Now is the time to add a foiled floral die-cut to the center. I used foam adhesive for dimension:

Next, place the entire circle on a piece of coordinating patterned paper, cut to the size of the frame:

Finally, pop it in the frame and you’re all done!

Quick and Easy Mother’s Day Gift

Hi Friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a kind of non-traditional Mother’s Day gift.  My mom loves flowers just as much as anyone…but she loves words even more.  All my life, I remember her displaying her favorite quotes around our home.  Sometimes just jotted down on a paper and stuck to the fridge with a magnet.  Sometimes they were stitched into fabric and sewn on a pillow.  Other times they were framed and displayed prominently on an end table.  So now, any time I hear her talk about one of her “new” favorites, I make a mental note.  When I saw the nautical themed papers included in the “Everyday” collection, I knew it was perfect for her newest favorite quote – and just in time to create for Mother’s Day!

Here’s a quick and easy tutorial for this project! Start with the layered frames set and spray the unfinished edges with the gold mist.  Allow the edges to dry completely.

Cut a piece of patterned paper to cover the front of the base.

Cut the “anchors” tear strip off one of the papers and attach it to the bottom portion of background.

Print parts of the quote directly onto vellum.  The font I used here is called “Janda Stylish Script.” I chose vellum so I could add an additional patterned paper behind the quote (as you will see in a moment), but you could also print directly onto regular paper or cardstock.

I added these gorgeous thickers for the key words in the quote.

Next, I trimmed an additional patterned paper to go directly behind the quote in the frame.

I attached these two papers directly to the background.

Now trim the striped and foiled paper to cover the front of the smaller frame in the pack.

Layer it over the quote.

And now add some of the “dots” from the letter thicker to sheet to the corners to replicate “rivets” on the front of the frame.

That’s it!  You could add additional embellishments if desired – perhaps wrap with rope or jute, or even create a paper sailboat to add to the corner!

So, instead of flowers, consider giving your mother the gift of words this year!

Daily Affirmations Frame

Hi y’all!  Amanda here today.  Whatever you are, be a good one.  Today is going to be awesome.  You are loved.  These are just a few of the uplifting phrases that can be found on journaling cards in Pebbles’ new DIY Home collection.  These are the types of words that I want displayed in my home on a daily basis.

Daily Affirmations Frame by @amanda_coleman1 using DIY Home from @pebblesinc

Inspired by the wooden layered frame, I created a place where these phrases could be displayed all of the time.  I chose ultra feminine patterned papers and colors as I thought this would be perfect for my nine year-old daughter’s room.  How neat would it be to have your daughter (or grandaughter, or neice, etc.) read an inspiring new phrase as she gets ready for school every day?

Adding a gold clip to the frame makes it easy to swap out the message often.  You could even add your favorite photographs to the rotation.

There are so many uplifting and positive sayings in the DIY home collection.  The Happy Day cutouts with gold foil and the Quotables 12″x12″ are my favorite.  The 4″x4″ cards and 3″x4″ cards fit perfectly inside of the frame.  Add a  DIY Home Minc card to the frame for a lovely piece of decor.

Paint the edges of the frames with a coordinating gold paint before adhering paper or tape to the top of the frames.  The more gold the better!

Rather than breaking out the glitter (and making a huge mess), I used the gold glitter scallop tape to create a glittery frame.  It was so easy and I didn’t get one fleck of glitter in my contacts.

After painting the edge of your frame, adhere a piece of gold glitter scallop tape to the top of the frame, pressing down firmly on the tape as you go.

Turn your frame over and trim any excess tape with a craft knife.  Repeat for all four sides of the frame.  TIP: Strategically place the scallops so the wider parts of the frame get covered evenly.

Play Frame

Hello! Amy here from The Happy Scraps. I am SO excited to be sharing this fun PLAY frame with you today. I used the fun Happy Day collection on this project. When I started working on this, my goal was to create a way to get pictures of my family having fun on the weekends, off of my phone, and displayed. But I wanted to be able to change the pictures out, as often as I could, so this is the perfect solution. This turned out better than I could have imagined!

pebbles-happy-day

I started out by collecting my supplies. I used my saw to cut the word “play” and made the frame out of old fence slats. I had the coated chicken wire & mini clothes pins on hand, and I pulled out the fun Happy Day collection for the stickers, frames, twine, and paper.

pebbles-supplies

Start out by turning over you word, and tracing it onto the back of the paper that you’d like on the front of your word. I loved the pink polka dot paper, Happy Day Let’s Chat cardstock.

trace-word-on-paper

Next, you’ll cut out your word.

play

When applying paper to wood, I like to use wood glue. I put some on the wood, spread it out evenly with a sponge brush and apply the paper. On a piece this size, you may need to do one half at a time. Use a vinyl applicator to make sure you get the paper smooth.

Next, I cut my chicken wire to size, and used a staple gun to attach it to the back of the frame.

Now you are ready to adhere the word play to the front of the frame. I used wood glue and clamps to make sure the word was on there good.

Next, I cut apart the Happy Day Thinking of You paper so I could cut apart the fun little bunting pieces that were on it.

happy-day

Using the twine from the Happy Day Photo Garland Kit, I glued it to the back of the bunting pieces. I put two of these together.

glue-twine

Using the mini clothes pins, I hung the buntings from the chicken wire, one on top and bottom.

mini-bunting

I embellished the photo frames by adding some stickers from the Happy Day Cardstock Stickers, Icons & Phrases sheet. Then I hung them from the chicken wire.

embellish-frames

I added some photos to the frames that I took over the weekend. I love that I can change the photos anytime, updating them with more recent photos of my family playing on the weekends.

So tell me, if you could use one word to describe your weekends, what would it be?
