Today Kim Kesti is sharing a great spring project – an easy flower garland!
Since May brings flowers and new growth into our lives, I thought I would share a super simple garland project that you can make in less than 15 minutes! It’s just the thing to brighten up a wall, headboard or window in your home.
I said “super simple” and I mean it. You only need two things:
A package of Garden Party Die Cut Cardstock Shapes and a sewing machine.
The Garden Party die cuts are amazing! There are over 100 pieces in the package, more than enough to make a garland and still have some left over. I love that there are flowers AND leaves in the package.
To create the garland, simply feed your die cuts under the presser foot of your machine (set on a straight stitch) one at a time. I layered a few of the smaller flowers with leaves to give them a bit more bulk. Otherwise, no additional materials are needed. The nice weight of the paper gives the garland lots of stability.
I punched a tiny hole and added a bit of baker’s twine to each end of the garland, but I didn’t even really need to since I hung up my garland with pins. It may get moved to over the window, so the twine will come in handy.
Try this quick, inexpensive way to add a bit of spring into your home! It was so fun to create!
