Paper Flower Wreath with Terhi | Video Tutorial

Hey Friends!
It’s Terhi here with you sharing some very colourful spring inspiration.
I was getting ready to host a small party, just because of spring and the upcoming summer, but obviously all these social occasions are now moved to future. But nothing will stop be cheering out home with flowers and colors!
Come and take a look, there’s a video at the end of this post.

This wreath is about 16″ wide, and I love it so much! I do love making small things like mini albums, but sometimes it’s fun to go really BIG.

As you can see from the process video, all of the blooms are created in very simple way. Most of them are rolled flowers, which means I have cut them with my Silhouette and then rolled the paper and glued it down. Others are layered flowers and they are just as simple as the others.
And what’s more, you can do it all using scissors if you prefer.

After I had all the flowers prepared, I cut all the leaves too and started to think about the design on the black metal hoop.

Hot glue became me dearest friend during the creation! It’s so quick and easy way to adhere the paper blooms together! First I adhered all the flowers and then the leaves.

Here’s the process video to brighten up your day!

If you can’t see it here, here’s the link: http://youtu.be/eVg5BHxFVm0

Keep on crafting, it’s important during the times like this.

Patio Party Scrapbook Process Video with Amanda!

Hi Pebbles Friends!

Happy 2019! I wish you all much happiness, health and prosperity for the New Year!

2018 saw the release of so many gorgeous collections for Pebbles, but my very favorite would have to be the bright and beautiful Jen Hadfield: Patio Party. Just beautiful!

So, just before we reveal the first of many stunning new lines for 2019, let’s take another look at this wonderful collection!

Today I am sharing a very sweet & fun scrapbook layout’

“Smile”

Oh isn’t this pretty?!!

Such a beautiful page that really draws on all the gorgeous florals and blooms in both my photo, & the Patio Party collection! Love it!

Here’s a closer look for you….

Sigh! This is soooooooo pretty!

I have featured the beautiful Backyard Blooms pattern paper as both the layout base and ‘border’, and then used this very same pattern in the 6 x 6 size to back my silly selfie photo with! The repeat patterning creates unity within my design, and pulls everything ‘together’. As it is such a busy pattern paper, I avoid adding other designs or patterns and instead, opt for lots of complimentary embellishments to support my photo with.

How pretty are all those blooms?!

You’ll spy them in Die Cut Ephemera, Dimensional Stickers, Puffy Stickers and even the 6 x 12 Accent Stickers – so many beautiful embellishments to create layers and interest with!

Just look at those layers!!! All the heart eyes for these pretty details!

With all those bright, pop colors & layered blooms, I feature the Wood Stickers to create balance in my design. The strong, rectangular shape combined with the dark wood grain offer a hint of masculinity and structure to this otherwise girly page.

I use the gold Puffy Sticker, Smile for my title – perfect for my selfie!

For finishing touches, I add a little watercolor paint and splatter droplets to complete my lovely page!

Floral Mother’s Day Cards

I’ll admit that Mother’s Day isn’t my most favorite holiday, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be a stinker and not send cards to the moms, grandmas, aunts, etc., in my life. Mother’s Day cards are extra fun to make because they are all about pretty colors and feminine flowers.

Floral Mother's Day cards by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Cottage Living collectionInspired by the bold black and gold tones, and softer mint and coral tones in the Cottage Living collection, I created a collection of modern, yet feminine Mother’s Day cards that are perfect for any of the women in  your life.

Floral Mother's Day cards by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Cottage Living collectionThe puffy stickers from the Cottage Living collection are irresistable. This puffy gold and black sentiment, paired with a pale pink flower and gray stripes gives this card an old-timey Hollywood glamour feel.

Cottage Living is chock full of bold stripes and pretty floral prints which are perfect for Mother’s Day cards. The “I adore you” sentiment stamp from the acrylic stamp set is perfect for mom, grandma, auntie or sister.

Floral Mother's Day cards by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Cottage Living collectionI don’t know about you, but I am totally digging the eighties vibe of the black and gold Thickers. Paired with a gold foiled black tag, this card is chic and hip all at the same time. Plus, the sentiment is simple. I don’t do smooshy, ooey-gooey sentiments, so a nice Mom sentiment on a pretty card totally works for me.

Floral Mother's Day cards by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Cottage Living collectionWhile fussy cutting isn’t difficult, there are a couple of things you can do to make a cleaner cut around your image. The first step to a nice, clean fussy-cut image is to rough cut around the image you are using. You want to eliminate the bulk of the paper around the edge of the image, while making sure you have enough to for the scissors to hang on to. Go ahead and use your chunky scissors for this cut.

Smaller scissors will allow you to cut around the finer details of your image with ease. Now here’s the clincher–hold your scissors at an angle, pointing away from your image. This will allow for a more precise, cleaner cut. Cut using the inside to middle of your scissor blades rather than the tip for more control while cutting. Be sure to rotate the paper rather than rotating your scissors.

Have a Happy Mother’s Day!
