Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. This week the theme we were given for inspiration was ‘Poolside’. I figured ocean waves fit just as well and I could knock out a layout from a family vacation in beautiful Myrtle Beach South Carolina. We had lots of fun searching for unique shells and found a few sea creatures as well. The fun Pebbles Oh Summertime collection was perfect to document our beach adventures.

I wanted to showcase all the washi tape from the collection on my layout. On a piece of 8.5 x 11 cardstock, I layered washi tape all down one side. This was then mounted on a 12 x 12 piece of pattern paper. Don’t you love those fish scales? or maybe I should say mermaid scales.

I arranged multiple photos over the washi tape using foam adhesive to add some dimension. I can’t resist adding a bit of sunshine on my summer layouts to set the mood, so here I added a die cut sun. I love the all the fun water elements in this collection too, like this mermaid, jelly fish, and seaweed.

I created an eye-catching big title and backed it with a striped pattern paper that coordinated so well with my background paper.

Are you ready for summer yet? I sure am!

Easter Egg Fights with Marcia

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. I am sharing an Easter layout with you today created with the Pebble’s Loves Me collection as well as the Chasing Adventures collection. I love the floral patterns in the Loves Me collection. They work perfectly for Spring projects too. It’s definitely not just another Valentine’s Day collection. I wanted to use green pattern paper too though. In Spring everything becomes green again. I found just what I needed in the Chasing Adventures collection; a light green polka dot pattern as well as a darker green plaid pattern. I used the pattern papers to fill in the negative space in a gorgeous floral cut file as well as the inside of my alphas in my title.

When my extended family gathers for Easter, it’s a tradition for us to hold an Easter egg fight tournament. I created a large EASTER title to span my page. Then I used a script font to complete the title. I love combining fonts to make my titles more interesting and dramatic. I added a bird from the Loves Me ephemera pack and a few punched butterflies as well.

Backing cut files with pattern papers is a fabulous way to use up paper scraps. I added some foam tape behind the cut file to pop it up from the background paper.

What a beautiful way to use scraps, don’t you think! Have a great week.

A mini album gift for the whole Family.

Hello Pebbles Friends! It’s Leanne here today and I am excited to share with you a “special moment’s” mini album, expressing the little details that make me feel so blessed. This mini album is really a gift for the whole family. It lets them see how much I cherish them and the moments we have together. The new Woodland Forest collection has helped me bring my ideas to fruition with all the warmth of an autumnal colour palette.

I really love mini albums that have lots of interesting details that hint at what’s to come once the pages are turned. The Woodland Forest Ephemera Die-cuts are perfect for creating this look where bits and pieces overlap and layer throughout the album.

But before I start creating the pages, I needed to determine the size and shape of my mini.

The main aim of my album is for it to be made up with random snapshots, using all those extra photos that don’t necessarily make it into pocket pages or onto scrapbooking layouts. But… the ones that still have special significance, just not those needed to help tell a story I’ve previously documented. I have more than a few stacks of these pre-printed photos, which of course have been printed out at different sizes.

But this is where the fun part begins! A 4.25”x4.25” cardstock base provides enough room to house all these odd dimensions.

The cover was embellished by creating a 4”x4” frame, cut from patterned paper in the Woodland Forest mini 6”x6” paper pad and mounted on foam tape. The bow was made using the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board. I’ve also included the cute bunny die-cut ephemera piece, alongside fussy cut flowers.

The jump rings were added to the side of the album at the 1” and 3” marks.

The pages inside the mini album have been created using the Harvest Dies and then trimmed, keeping the recipe tab intact. Each page has then had a photo attached and embellishments built up around the image.

Here’s a look inside the completed album:

As you can see, each photo, regardless of size, has been embellished simply with coordinating paper, stickers and die-cut ephemera from the Woodland Forest collection. My excess photos now have a home among my growing collection of mini albums instead of floating loosely about my scrap space!

Surely, I’m not the only one who has extra photos printed out each time there’s temptation to create a new project!! And hopefully now I will be able to contain my extra snapshots with some semblance of cute organisation!
