Floral Layout ft. Chasing Adventures

Hello everyone! It’s Eva on the blog today sharing a step by step floral layout using the Chasing Adventures collection.

Flowers are a must have on every collection and the ones from the Chasing Adventure line are gorgeous! Tropical, with beautiful colors and perfect to document your vacations! Today, I decided to use them to create a floral layout with a picture of my little boy and my husband.

To create the layout, start by gathering all your supplies that have floral designs, you can use: papers, stickers, die cuts and small embellishments. I used some die cut flowers and also fussy cut some flowers from the beautiful patterns in this collection.

I arranged my flowers in two groups: One going down on the left side of my page and one going up on the right side of my page.

I added more flowers on the beginning of my cluster and put less as I moved up or down. Tip: use the 6×8 paper pad to fussy cut some flowers on a smaller scale.

I added my photo and a die cut with the words “Remember this” as my title, I love the small tassel on the die cut, it is so much fun!

To give a little more dimension to my layout I added some flowers with 3d dots, even some small ones! I also curled some petals from fussy cut flowers.

The final step was my journaling, I wrote some words underneath the title with thing I want to remember about my son.

The clusters on the edges turned out great! It looks as the flowers are falling down and the two cascades frame my picture.

I love to use flowers for every day layouts, even masculine layouts! How about you? Do you use flowers when you scrap the men in your life?

Thanks for joining me today and have a great day!

Eva

Easter Egg Hunt Adventure

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new LO to share using the Chasing Adventure collection and a cut file from The Cut Shoppe. Now that my kids are no longer little, I really miss some of the traditions we had when they were little. Easter was always such a fun filled day. The Easter Bunny went all out at this house, making sure the egg hunt lasted for a while.

I started off my layout by cutting out this cut file from The Cut Shoppe. Then I backed it with pattern papers. The colors and floral patterns in this collection were really perfect for an easter themed layout.

Then I added a little mixed media to my cardstock, just so the cut file would pop more. I then added some stitching around the cut file. When I hand stitch, I don’t use a template. I punch out random holes in random distances from each other. I like this look better than when they are all even. (and it’s easier!)

Once the background was finished, it really didn’t need much more. I just added a few flower stickers and a title.

And to finish it off, I added a frame around my layout, as I almost always do!

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Egg Fights with Marcia

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. I am sharing an Easter layout with you today created with the Pebble’s Loves Me collection as well as the Chasing Adventures collection. I love the floral patterns in the Loves Me collection. They work perfectly for Spring projects too. It’s definitely not just another Valentine’s Day collection. I wanted to use green pattern paper too though. In Spring everything becomes green again. I found just what I needed in the Chasing Adventures collection; a light green polka dot pattern as well as a darker green plaid pattern. I used the pattern papers to fill in the negative space in a gorgeous floral cut file as well as the inside of my alphas in my title.

When my extended family gathers for Easter, it’s a tradition for us to hold an Easter egg fight tournament. I created a large EASTER title to span my page. Then I used a script font to complete the title. I love combining fonts to make my titles more interesting and dramatic. I added a bird from the Loves Me ephemera pack and a few punched butterflies as well.

Backing cut files with pattern papers is a fabulous way to use up paper scraps. I added some foam tape behind the cut file to pop it up from the background paper.

What a beautiful way to use scraps, don’t you think! Have a great week.

Chasing Adventures Travel Journal

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. Is anyone planning a Spring Break vacation in April? Take a look at my Chasing Adventures travel journal. It is perfect to take along on your trip to record your memories and store mementos, maps, postcards, photos and more.

The journal is crafted from a kraft cardstock and then decorated with the fun Chasing Adventures pattern papers. I glued two pieces of kraft cardstock together to make the folio stronger. To give it a vintage feel, I burnished the edges with some distress ink. An elastic band secures the binder shut. Let me show you the inside …

The front cover has a side pocket to tuck stickers and die cuts that can be used to decorate journal pages while traveling.

There are 3 pages inside. Each side of a page has a gusseted pocket to hold travel momentos, maps, postcards, and more.

Here are the other inside pages…

In the back of the journal I have added a notepad, covered with pretty pattern paper. Here you can journal about your daily adventures and add photos.

If you have an upcoming vacation, you might want to make a travel journal for yourself. Be sure to check out the Chasing Adventures collection to help you document your trip. I love that it has pattern papers and die cuts for whatever kind of adventure you desire from city vacations to mountain hiking to tropical relaxation.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

~Marcia
