Preschool Layout

Hello, it’s Becki here to share a layout with you that I created using lots and LOTS of apples. This layout documents my little man and my niece starting preschool. I may have gotten a little carried away with the apples theme but I love the bold “back to school” feel that the apples give to the layout.

The apple embellishments are so easy to make. I cut several apples with my Silhouette in two different sizes and many different colors and patterns. The smaller, inside portion, of the apple I cut with the same patterned paper. I wanted the apples to have a little bit of continuity.

Back to School Cards

Good morning!! Becki Adams here. Have your kids gone back  to school yet? I created two cards to put into my kids’ lunch boxes on their first day of school. My 4th grader is going to love it, but I’m pretty sure my 7th grader will think that he’s a little too old for getting notes from mom in his lunch box.

I created a card using real crayons. I love the dimension and practicality it gave to the card. My little girl can use the crayons off the card if she chooses to.

Back to school cards created by @beckiadams for @pebblesincI used a tape runner to adhere the crayons to the card and they are not attached to the sticker. I mounted the sticker onto a piece of patterned paper.

Back to school cards created by @beckiadams for @pebblesinc Back to school cards created by @beckiadams for @pebblesincI stacked two pieces of foam adhesive together and laid it over the top of the crayons. The foam adhesive is the only adhesive adhering the sticker to the card.

The second card I created only uses patterned paper, stickers, a button, and a paper doily.

Back to school cards created by @beckiadams for @pebblesincI machine stitched the patterned paper to the card and I was finished. I’m so thrilled with how these cards turned out. They were so easy to create!

Easy Thank You Cards

Good morning, Becki here to share with you my very first project as a design team member for Pebbles. I am so thrilled to be here and grateful to work with so many amazing designers and fabulous product. Making a set of cards using the Home+Made collection was the first project on my list. What an amazing collection. I adore all of it!

Jen Hadfield Home+Made

Having thank you cards in my stash is a must! They’re the cards that I reach for the most often. I was so excited to see so many sentiments for thank you cards in the Home+Made collection. This collection makes creating cards so easy because there are so many premade sentiments. These cards came together in less than an hour.

Aren’t the huge brackets on this card adorable? I created them using the die set from the Home+Made collection.  The gold scalloped tape is ah-mazing! I’m sure I’ll need a second…or maybe third roll of it.

The second card I created by adhering  small strips of patterned paper at an angle onto a piece of white cardstock and then mounting that piece of cardstock (you’ll also find some of that amazing gold glitter tape too) onto a piece of black cardstock for a little bit of contrast. Here’s how I created the angled strips:

The “thanks” sentiment is right off of the 6×12 sticker sheet. I simply added some dimensional adhesive to the back of the sticker.

On the third card I used these amazing chalkboard labels as a background for my sentiment. By using a black background my sentiment stands out from all the other patterns used on this card.

What type of cards do you create most often just to keep in on hand? Thank you cards are definitely at the top of my list followed closely by birthday cards.

Hello, I’m Becki Adams. I was born and raised outside of a small farming town in Idaho. Even though I grew up on a potato/wheat farm I don’t eat potatoes or wheat. (My dad is mortified.) I currently raise my kiddos in a home that is only a few miles from the home I grew up in.

I started scrapbooking in 1998 when I was given the assignment to create a scrapbook for a Home Economics class. Like many other scrapbookers, my passion for the hobby really started after I had my oldest son in 2001. Since then, scrapbooking has become a lifestyle for me and my family.

My husband Justin and I have 3 fabulous kids. Cole is 12, Kayleigh is 9, and Austin is 5.

I love a clean house, a good book, and a really great cup of hot chocolate (in the winter) or a glass of raspberry lemonade (in the summer). Oh, and chocolate, don’t forget that I love chocolate. I also love a great find in a thrift store. My most favorite things to look for are books and dishes…a girl can never have too many dishes, or books.

I define my style as, colorful, bold, clean and classic. Memory keeping is my passion. I love to share that passion with everyone! I love teaching and sharing my creativity with others. I’d love to share it with you too at BeckiAdams.com.
