Hey there, Amy from The Happy Scraps here today. I’m excited to share this Simple Hello Banner with you today. I really love all the fun papers in the Jen Hadfield Everyday Collection. The bright colors and patterns are so fun! I picked out a few of my favorites to make this banner with. Banners are one of my favorite things to make. They are great for making a statement piece, and they are so customizable.

For this banner I grabbed five of the papers I really like in the Everyday Collection, the gold glittered thickers, and the wood banner pieces.

I started by tracing my banner pieces onto the back of the paper I wanted to use.

Then I cut it out.

Using some wood glue, I put some on, then spread it out over the entire wood banner piece.

I placed my paper over the glue and smooth it out good to make sure it was on there well.

Once I had all the banner pieces put together, I punched out some circles. I inked the edges of all the banner pieces and the circles with brown ink.

Next I placed the letters on the center of the circles.

I placed a foam 3-dimensional tab on the back of the circles.

Then I mounted them on the banner pieces.

Easy Weekend Fun Activity Banner

Hi there. It’s Amy from The Happy Scraps here today and I’m excited to be sharing this Easy Weekend Fun Activity Banner with you. We recently moved into a new home and have been spending our weekends working on things in and around the house, getting all kinds of things done that have needed to be done since moving. Since we haven’t done many fun things on the weekends yet this year, and since school just got out, I decided I wanted to make this easy weekend fun activity banner. I’m looking forward to the weekends this summer and getting out and spending time together as a family.

Make and easy weekend fun activity banner with #jenhadfieldeveryday and @pebblesinc with this tutorial from @thehappyscraps.

I pulled out the 6 x 6 paper pad from the Jen Hadfield Everyday collection and selected some bright and fun patterned papers that look like summer to me. I cut them each in half so I had two pieces about 3″ x 6″.

Using the Banner Punch Board and one piece of each patterned paper, I cut the flag shaped banner.

Then I trimmed the top off, making them the length that I wanted. I’ve found that if I cut the top off after I’ve cut the triangle part out of the bottom, I end up with the exact size of banner piece that I want.

Then I cut the triangle banner pieces. Once I had all the pieces cut, I punched out the holes in the top to lace the banner together with.

Here are all the banner pieces.

I placed all the pieces on the table, figuring out the order I wanted them to hang.

Using a large pair of scissors, I cut my paper straws into six pieces each.

With a large needle, I threaded my baker’s twine into it. Then I put three straw pieces on my needle and pushed them down on the string. Then I added a banner piece.

I put three straw pieces between each banner piece.

Once I had the banner strung together, I punched out some hexagon shapes and wrote our activities on them.

Using some dimensional adhesive squares, I mounted them onto the banner pieces.

I’m so excited about these weekend activities I’ve planned to do with my family and I’m also excited that it looks so cute to hang up too!

Here it is, hanging from my self.

Doesn’t it just go perfectly with my Hello Summer board?

DIY Master Bedroom Decor

Hello friends! Amy here today from The Happy Scraps, and I’m so excited to be sharing our DIY Master Bedroom Decor with you today. We recently moved, and we have a lot more space do decorate now. Where we lived previously, we didn’t really have a color them or anything for our master bedroom. Since moving, I’ve decided that I want to use the colors gray, white, orange, and navy in our master bedroom. When I saw that the Jen Hadfield Everyday Collection had these colors, I knew I had to do something with them for our bedroom!

I wanted to make something to go above our bed, on the wall. I decided I’d cut out some wood shapes to apply paper to.

Once I had the wood cut out, I traced my shapes onto the back of the paper I wanted to use.

Then I cut out the paper.

I painted the edges of my wood white. I like to do this after I trace the paper, so I don’t end up with a pencil line showing on my paint.

Using wood glue, I spread some onto my wood. I spread it out with a sponge brush, then applied my paper.

I smoothed out the paper well, making sure it was stuck to the wood really well.

Once I had all my wood letters and shapes finished, I decided I also wanted to add a banner to hang above the wood on the wall. I pulled out my banner punch board and had it put together in no time.

After I punched the holes in the top, I used baker’s twine to string the little triangles together.

Then I hung them on the wall. I’m so giddy over how it all came together and turned out!

Happy New Year Pebbles Fans!  Holly here from Ribbons & Glue sharing with you my Word of the Year Banner that I created for my craft room using the Pebbles Inc. DIY Home and Cottage Living collections and a We R Memory Keepers punch board.

Word of the Year Banner made with @pebblesinc Cottage Living collection and @wermemorykeepers punch board created by @ribbonsandglue

Word of the Year Banner

With a New Year brings a New Beginning. I’m one of those people who are all about new beginnings and I also like to choose one word to represent my goals in the New Year.  This year,  I chose the word GROW.   Of course, GROW can be interpreted in a variety of ways.  I definitely don’t want to GROW out of my clothes or GROW out my hair  but I do want to GROW positively in many areas of my life.   This year,  I really want to  GROW to become a better wife and mother and most importantly, I want to GROW in my Faith and in my creativity.   Creativity is a very important part of my life daily and focusing on growing what I love is a top priority to me.

@wermemorykeepers banner punch board with @pebblesinc Cottage Living Paper

To help remind me daily  to GROW in areas of my life, I made a small banner to hang in my craft room.  My craft room is where I spend a lot of my time daily so creating a banner that coordinates with my craft room colors is like giving a little gift to myself.  To make the flag banner shape, I used the We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board.

I cut the base of the Banner Flag at 3 x 4 inches then layered the base with Cottage Living Honeycomb paper.

Gallery Letters from the @pebblesinc Cottage Living collection

I  trimmed out the letters G-R-O-W from Cottage Living Gallery Wall paper and adhered them on to the front of the Banner Flags.

Hello Pebbles fans! Amy here from The Happy Scraps today. I love this time of year! I love the crispness in the air, all that comes with the Thanksgiving season, and of course paper crafting. Today I’m excited to share the tutorial with you for this DIY Blessed Banner using the beautiful Pebbles Harvest Collection.

Use the #Harvest collection to create this beautiful BLESSED Banner with the tutorial from @thehappyscraps on the @pebblesinc blog.

I went through the Harvest collection and found some patterned paper that I knew I might use in making this banner. I also picked out some fun embellishments.
