Lullaby Baby Boy

Hey there Pebbles friends and fans, Becki here. I’m thrilled to share a Lullaby baby boy layout. In our family when someone says that they’re expecting a baby my mom immediately starts making a baby quilt for the new baby. This layout is inspired by a baby quilt.

Lullaby Baby Boy by @jbckadams for @pebblesinc #madewithpebbles #scrapbooking #memorykeeping

I LOVE the triangle edges around a baby quilt. I think they’re so cute and they’re one of the first things I think of when I think about a baby quilt. So I started by gathering all the baby boy papers from the Lullaby collection. I cut a few 2 inch squares from each patterned paper and then cut them in half (corner to corner) with a pair of sharp scissors.

Once I had several triangles I adhered them along the outside edge of a 10 inch square of white cardstock. I overlapped each triangle slightly to create a border all around the square. Then, I stitched around the edge of the white cardstock to keep the triangles in place and create more of a homemade feel to the layout. I love machine stitching on my layouts!

Then, I created the title to the left of my photo. I used Thickers and die cuts from the ephemera pack to create the title. Once again, I added some machine stitching to the title to keep the Thickers in place and add a quilted feel to the layout.

The last element I stitched to the layout was two heart die cuts above the photo. Then I folded up the edges of the hearts to add some shadows and dimension.

I also folded up the triangle border around all 4 edges of the layout. Then I adhered the whole layout to the grey polkadot patterned paper.

The puffy stickers were a perfect finishing touch to this layout! I couldn’t be happier with how this project turned out. With more photos of my handsome nephew on the way, I’ll be using a LOT more of the Lullaby baby boy collection. Thanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog today. I’ll see you again soon!!

Baby Shower Gift

We’re closing out our week featuring mini envelope projects. We’ve had lots of fun sharing them with you and hope you’ve found some inspiration. For our final feature, Designer Laurel Seabrook is showcasing a fun baby shower gift that she created using mini envelopes.

Mini Envelopes

Hi everyone, Laurel here.  I have a fun baby shower gift that I created for my daughter who is expecting a baby girl in September.  A few years ago I created a similar project for husband for our anniversary (a prepaid date per month) and my daughter really loved it.  She is not going to have a lot of extra cash so I thought she would be able to use anything to help her out.

I had this wooden box in my stash, picked it up at a garage sale.

I used some pattern paper from Garden Party to cover the box, then finished off the seams with some Washi Tape.  As a final touch I added a journal card and sticker to the front.

Inside are 12 mini envelopes.  One for each month, starting with September.  I will insert some gift cards (Wal-Mart, Drug Store, Grocery Store, Tim Horton’s etc.) inside each little envelope so that she will be able to either treat herself now and then, or purchase some much needed supplies.

I just added bits and pieces from Garden Party and Special Delivery Girl to embellish the envelopes and then adhered a month sticker.

Inside the envelopes I left some room for photos, journaling spots, cute animals and even a sample of stickers so the mom to be can personalize the album.

Today we’re welcoming Designer Candace Zenter, who’s sharing a lovely baby girl scrapbook layout using the Special Delivery collection.

Baby

When I first saw the Girl Special Delivery Collection I fell so in love with all the great embellishments. I knew putting projects together with these supplies would be so easy and effortless. I dove right into all my girls’ baby pictures to create a layout.

The little animal die cuts are just so soft and sweet! I made sure my little bunny stood out on my page by using some This To That foam stickers.

I have been waiting for the chance to use some of Pebbles’ great photo overlays and the awesome paper clips worked perfectly to secure my overlay.

I used some of the banners in the die cuts package and made some of my own from patterned paper to create some detail under my title

The journaling card pad is such a must have for layouts and cards. I love all the options these cards provide. The card I used below has the most adorable quote. I added a few sequins I had laying around for a touch of sparkle.
