Baby Dreams with Terhi

Hello lovelies! Terhi here, Mother of two girls, inspiring you with a baby dreams page about this lovely baby boy! Let me tell you something about it.

Sometime ago I found myself very inspired scrapbooking baby pages, and as I absolutely love the ‘Night Night’ collection, I wanted to find a way to use all the baby-themed products. I snuck to my Sister’s photo album and grabbed a couple of Christening photos to scan and print. Of course I returned the original photos, and made my sweet Sister happy by giving her this layout in a frame!

There’s nothing better than making someone happy! Of course, giving presents on birthdays and other celebrations is great, but surprising one another in everyday life is important too I think. This layout found its place soon on my Sister’s living room wall, and it makes me humble knowing she likes it so much.

The page is made using very simple techniques. First, I added some blue texture paste through a square patterned stencil, and let it dry. Then I cut out some 0,5″, 1″ and 1,5″ squares and rectangles from all the patterned paper in this line.  I then glued them down to the background. Some squares are attached with 3D foam, too.

The photograph of my sweet godson is the focus point of the page, and under that I placed the title. On top of the word “baby” is another part of the title, the lovely silver words. The embellishments on the page are from both from the ‘Night Night’ Baby Boy ephemera pack and sticker sheet.

Once everything was ready, I covered the photo with a baby wipe and flicked some very light blue and white mist drops here and there to give the layout finished look.

Go ahead and find your precious baby page to scrapbook, it’s so much fun! Hope you are inspired!

Precious Baby Girl by Terhi

Hello Pebbles fans! Terhi Koskinen here to inspire you with another baby-themed layout.  Let’s continue the fun journey with cut files too! A week ago, I was here talking about sewing cut files onto scrapbook layout.  Today we’ll keep talking about cut files with another idea on mind.

The large butterfly cut file is from Paige Evans’ Facebook group called ‘Paige Evans – Happy Scrappy Place‘ where Paige herself is sharing inspiration, hosting challenges and sharing free cut files every week. You can cut the butterfly as a teeny tiny small embellishment or make it a focus point on a layout like I did.

I actually cut it twice. First I cut it with all the holes and details.  Next, I cut just the outer edge and glued these two on top of each other. This is definitely the easiest and quickest way to get familiar with the backing technique. If you want to take this technique to the next level, back the holes separately with different patterned papers – time consuming but SO worth it!

This tender and sweet layout wasn’t right spot for heavy mixed media, but I wanted to have something small on the background. That’s why I ended up cutting small triangles.  To begin, I first cut a piece of patterned paper to 2″ square, then cut it half on the diagonal. I used these triangles here and there, adhering each one in place with foam tape to make more dimension.

If you look very close, you can spy a couple of golden spots here and there. I love using watercolors and mists (or actually any liquid media) to give the perfect touch to all my layouts. For this layout, the gold color was a good choice as the title is golden as well.

Small butterflies, flowers, blooms and leaves are both from the ‘Night Night’ ephemera pack and sticker sheet. The stickers are flat, so I repeated the foam tape trick to make them pop up.

After this baby girl page, I’m inspired to do another with a boy theme! Fortunately my sister has a boy, so I’m off to search for the perfect baby boy pictures from her drawers. Can’t stop loving ‘Night Night’!

Hope you are inspired, and thank you so much for stopping by today!

Night, Night Baby Girl Layout with Amanda

Hi Pebbles Friends!

Amanda here, returning to share another dreamy baby layout using our sweet, Night Night collection. This time it’s with our gorgeously girly and pink papers!  One for my daughter’s baby album – so dreamy and divine! I hope it has you thinking sugar and spice, and all things nice!

Oh.my.goodness! Could this be any sweeter?! Such a beautiful baby collection!

Pebbles really make it easy to document our most treasure memories! And speaking of simple, this layout is so easy to recreate – you’ll whip this up in a matter of minutes! Here’s how…..

I start with cutting out a hot air balloon and clouds cut file in white cardstock. There are LOTS of these designs available, but if you’re wanting this exact file it’s called, Sky’s The Limit & you can get it HERE.

Take pattern papers SNUGGLE TIME, & TWINKLE TWINKLE, and use them to back the hot air balloon cut file, as shown. I also foam mount that super cute ‘bear on a cloud’ PRINTED CARDSTOCK SHAPE onto the balloon.

Next, attach the balloon & clouds to the white cardstock base. I layer my darling photograph onto a photo matte created from pattern paper TWINKLE TWINKLE, position onto the lower level cloud and then embellish with that sweet ‘baby’ cloud. While the foam dots are out, I also mount a PRINTED CARDSTOCK SHAPE banner onto the balloon basket.

Next, I attach a  6 x 12 ACCENT STICKER hot air balloon, as well as a PRINTED CARDSTOCK SHAPE to the top left hand side of my photograph.

I continue to ‘build up’ my scene with PUFFY STICKERS, REPEAT STICKERS & those tiny hearts from the GOLDIE THICKERS. That bear on a cloud is my favourite! Here’s a closer look…..

Cuteness overload! To make my clouds a bit easier to see on the white base, I give them a light pencil outline. You’ll also spy tiny details like the little bow and banner trim from the REPEAT STICKERS – it’s all about the details!

Next, I added that sweet GOLDIE  THICKERS title, Baby Girl! SO divine!!!

The solid gold THICKERS are perfection! I am pretty sure I’ll be needing another pack of these soon!

And for finishing touches, I take the reverse side of the barcode strip on pattern paper SNUGGLE TIME and tape it to the base of my page. I also cut a one inch wide strip of this paper and give it the scallop punch treatment. I tape this detailed strip to the top of my layout. Such a simple, but oh so effective way to ‘complete the look’.

And there you have it! A beautiful baby girl layout that’s perfect for you to create at home!

Thanks so much for visiting & leaving a comment – it’s so appreciated!

Happy Arty Days, Amanda xo

A Love Bug [and more] with our Guest Designer Anna!

Hello everyone. My name is Anna and I am so happy and honored to be a guest designer for Pebbles. I am a big fan of Pebbles products and I had the great pleasure of working with the brand new “Night Night” collection. As a mom of two girls, I chose the girly version with lovely pinks and cute critters.
My first project is a layout called “Lovable”. I used a big picture of my cute daughter Maja and embellished it with with paper scraps and smaller elements.

I picked several patterned papers to create a background for my embellishments. They all share a similar color palette, so it was easy to just group them.

I added a lot of embellishments, such as ephemera pieces and stickers. Adding pieces of sticky foam helped me to create a great texture and dimension.

I didn’t forget about the picture itself as I didn’t want to cover too much of it. Smaller embellishments like butterflies and the small moon turned out perfect. Golden thickers look fantastic and they are awesome for making titles.

My second project is this diagonal type of the layout with two pictures from the same photo shoot.

I decided to go diagonal to add some special interest and dynamics to this page.

Combining cute ephemera pieces and stickers is always a good idea…and those critters are so adorable. What can match better with the baby pictures than a cute bunny, swan and owl?!

Once again i used phrase thickers to create a title. I love the mix of fonts and sizes.

Baby Scrapbooking Layout | Night Night

Hi everyone.  Heather Leopard here and I just love working with baby collections. My babies aren’t so little anymore but I have tons of photos left to scrap.  A baby scrapbooking layout is the perfect excuse to go into the vault and print some of those photos.

Baby Scrapbooking Layout by @heatherleopard using @pebblesinc #NightNight collection #madewithpebbles #baby #babyscrapbook

Today’s layout combines all of my favorite things…a single focus photo that tells the story, supersized title, repeating pattern and an area for handwritten journaling.

Baby Scrapbooking Layout by @heatherleopard using @pebblesinc #NightNight collection #madewithpebbles #baby #babyscrapbook

I started out by figuring out where I wanted my title to be, which just happens to take up 2/3 of the page.  To make sure everything was precise, I designed the page in my die cutting machine software.  Once I had the title in place, I added space for the photo.  I had to adjust the size of the title ever so slightly to accommodate my photo.  Next, I added stars around the title, adding the bulk at the top and adding fewer and fewer as I went down the page.  I made sure to save room for sticker embellishments as well.

Next, I glued patterned papers to the back of the stars, in varying patterns, making sure no two patterns were too close to each other.

Then, I added the title to the page.  You can see I lined my star cuts up when I was designing the page so that they would be the dots to each “i” in “twinkle twinkle”.

Optional: I chose to stitch around and through a few select stars. Some stars got an outer border, while some had another star stitched over them and others were rounded out with wonky circles.  Other stars were left as-is.  I also added stitching under the “twinkle twinkle” amd under the “R” at the end of the word “STAR”.  I chose to highlight the R because my daughter’s name starts with an R.

Last but not least, the “star” of the show, the photo.  I added a few patterned papers as layers behind the photo and then tucked a flower die cut and “dream baby” flag.  Then I added additional embellishments around the page, adding more stars, clouds and a sweet little moon.

I left space to add journaling.  I have a lot to say about sleepy time so I will collect my thoughts and add the journaling in a day or two.

Tell me, whether you’re scrapping your baby, your youth or someone else’s baby, are you caught up or are you like me and just a little (or a lot) behind on your baby scrapbooking?

Thanks for stopping by today.

xoxo,
Heather (@heatherleopard on social media)
