Paper crafting, cardmaking, scrapbooking and party supplies
Hey there Pebbles Fans! It’s Terhi Koskinen here wishing you the most colorful day and inspiring you with a scrapbook layout made in very special situation.
As I have been scrapbooking our family life for as long as I have been a Mom, I thought to ask if my daughters would like to make a layout together with me. We’ve done many crafts together and they both have done many layouts of their own. This layout has been made with my older daughter, who just turned 12.
Teenagers, children, how ever you wish to call them, are super talented and very creative if you just give them a chance! Surely my children has been watching how I create and seen my work, so they have strong opinions and thoughts about how the layout should look. For this page, we proceed completely in her phase – not mine.
We started by choosing a photograph and I was very surprised she didn’t pick a horse photo but mine instead! I asked why this one and she told because it’s a pretty one. That’s a perfect reason, isn’t it. Then, she picked up a white cardstock for a background to start our work, just as her Mom always do.
I limited her passion and excitement to Pebbles Hey, Hello collection instead giving her access to all my products. I had some of the separate patterned papers and Pebbles Hey, Hello Project Pad on the table and she fell in love with the paper Yellow Roses. We fussy cut all the flowers out and to bring more colors we took the lovely colored sheet out from the project pad.
The most interesting part of the process was adding thread. She’s seen my Youtube videos and she’s been watching how I do it, but she gave me an idea which is totally new to me – adding matching thread around each paper. The effect is adorable! It bring softness to the page but doesn’t make it as messy as I usually end up doing. Well done my dear child, well done!
Attaching the squares to the background was a bit tricky, so instead of measuring and getting gray hair I asked if the squares could be like wreath. She didn’t like the idea but shook them a bit, so the squares are inclined on purpose.
If you’d like to try out creating something together with older than toddlers, here’s what I think are the most important things to make the moment memorable.
We did this together and I’m so very proud about it. Creating one thing together is totally different thing than creating things beside each other. She enjoyed as much as I.
Thank you for stopping by here today, it’s been a pleasure! Have a great day!

Hey all!
It’s Terhi Koskinen here sharing you some tips to capture your summer memories in a beautiful way. I’m using Pebbles Sun and Fun collection, which is my most favorite line to scrapbook summer themed layouts.
If I can choose a photo for my layout I want to create, I often choose one taken with a good camera, people staying still with pretty smiles and even choosing photos edited in proper way.
This summer I will challenge myself to use more photos taken randomly, just like the one on this bright and colorful layout.
As the photo is a bit blurry and small, I decided to bring the feeling from it to the layout. My girls and their Grandpa were showing the fish they got, and the excitement was one of the things I wanted to honor. Colors are perfect for this! I picked up three bright colors from Sun and Fun patterned papers, pink, blue and green. Bringing the feeling from the photo to the layout is always a key to success.
In addition to bright colors, I added lots and lots of details to catch attention from the blurry photo. There are bits and pieces of patterned papers, ephemera, fussy cut pieces, washi tapes and much more! Also, there are words and phrases supporting the great feeling from the photo.
Finally, I finished the page by adding watercolor details close to matching colors.
What do you think, could you use more everyday photos? How about making a layout with lots of details? And maybe even finish it with some watercolor elements!
Hope you feel inspired! Have a great day!

Hi Friends! Terhi here with a super simple but very creative idea for your next cards to make.
Sunny summer starts soon and as usual, I want to make sure I have couple of spare cards to give away if needed. And I like the cards to be themed with the ongoing season. Therefore, Sun and Fun papers and embellishments are playing the main role with these cards.
To create a simple envelope, I used We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. It’s very easy to use and in just a couple of minutes I had envelope in my hands just in a size I wanted to.
In order to use the envelope both as a card and an envelope, I didn’t add any adhesives. To replace glue and all other permanent attachments, I only added some washi tapes to close the envelopes. This way the receiver can open it, read it, and again close it.
The front sides of the envelopes are decorated with Sun and Fun ephemera and couple of layered flowers I had left from creating a wreath (link).
To make the cards matching any occasion I chose to use sentiments like “Hooray!” or “Hello there!”, as these are not preferring to specific celebrations. “Hellos” can be said any day, just to wish a happy day!
Finally to finish up the cards I added some fussy cut butterflies here and there. The butterflies and puffy dot stickers makes the perfect details for the lovely layered cards.
Hope you feel inspired!
