All Occasion Cards with Lovely Moments

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia back today with an all occasion card idea for you using the Lovely Moments collection. This time of year I need birthday cards, sympathy cards, get well cards, graduation cards, shower cards, and wedding cards. This card design could be used for all of these occasions. Just change out the sentiment.

The folded flower on these cards has a quilted look that caught my eye. Aren’t they gorgeous! This is a card you can make with a circle punch or circle cutter.

Let me show you how you can make one too….

Step 1. Punch or cut 8 – 2″ circles and 1 – 3″ circle. You will see both sides of the scrapbook paper, so choose a paper where the two sides coordinate well together. I prefer to use a smaller floral print as well. This allows you to see the flowers after folding.

Step 2. Fold each of the 2″ circles in half, then in half again.

Step 3. Fold just the top layer of paper down. Turn over and repeat on the other side. It should look like this…

Step 4. Unfold the circles except for the last fold.

Step 5. With the folded side face down (see green circle above), take the folded sides and bring to the middle crease. It should look like this. Repeat for all 8 circles.

Step 6. Apply some glue to the middle of your 3″ circle. Start laying your folded circle pieces down leaving a slight gap between.

If you want a very flat flower, press in a book for a while. I like a little dimension though, so I left my flower as is. Add a button or a brad in the center of your flower. Now you can add to a card base along with a sentiment. Make your own card base using pattern papers or use a ready made card from the Lovely Moments card box.

I love how these turned out. They are so pretty with the Lovely Moments pattern papers. I hope you give this a try yourself.

Hello, Pebbles’ fans! Eva Pizarro on the blog today sharing a tutorial on how to create a heart-shaped box from your next mini album using the lovely HEY! hello line

Create a heart shaped box and a mini album with this tutorial from @evapizarrov using the new #heyhello line from @pebblesinc #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc

Mini albums are a lovely gift and they are even better if they are inside a cute heart-shaped box!

To create this heart-shaped box the first thing you need to do is cut two hearts. I created a template and then used it to cut my shapes from this lovely spring pattern. My heart is 6 1/2 inch wide and 6 inches tall approximately.

Next, cut your hearts in half and cut two 1 1/4 inches wide strips of paper. Create creates at 1/4 inches and 1 inch.

Bend the sides and glue the two strips together to create one long strip.

Bend the paper strip in half (this will be the point of the heart) and cut small triangles on the bent strips so you can assemble the box.

Carefully, glue the strip to the hearts. Start at the point of the heart and go all the way until half of the heart.

Now, glue the top and make sure your boxes close perfectly. Inside the box, I included and mini album. This one is 4 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches and I made it using this tutorial for a One Page Mini Album.

To close the box I used a big ribbon and decorate it with die cuts and these lovely pink Thickers. See those cute shaker stickers? They add a great dimensional touch!

* Make sure you only glue decorations on one side of the box, otherwise you are not going to be able to open it *

Here’s how the project looks once you open the box.

The mini inside is pretty simple, I used pieces of paper and small 2 inch square photos.

To decorate it I used die cuts and stickers. This collection is great because it has a variety of sentiments: Thank you, Celebrations and Friendship!

Hello friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a quick and easy mini book I created with the beautiful “Lovely Moments” collection.

quick and easy "You and Me" mini album by Wendy Sue Anderson for @PebblesInc. featuring the "Lovely Moments" Collection

You can create a little book like this for a gift – and you can complete it with journaling and photos OR give the blank book for the recipient to fill out!

You can whip up a book like this in just a few easy steps!

  1. Choose beautiful patterned papers from the “Lovely Moments” collection
  2. Cut the papers to 8″ wide x 6″ tall
  3. Score all of the papers at 4″ and fold
  4. Stack the papers together in the order you want them to be in your book.
  5. Use a sewing machine to stitch down the fold – I did it twice, first with a straight stitch, then with a zig-zag stitch.
  6. Fill the album full of sweet 3×4 printed cards, printed die-cuts, tags, washi tape, etc. from the collection.

Here’s a peek at the inside pages of my album. This one is going to be a gift, for the recipient to add her own photos and journaling, but I provided the photo mattes, so it will be quick and easy for her to complete!

Invitation and Variation

Hello Pebbles friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing an invitation…and a variation. You see, my assignment was to create an invitation, which is always so much fun, but at the same time, it felt a little weird since we’re all social distancing right now, so we aren’t really in need of invitations. SO…I created a cute invitation with the “Hey! Hello!” collection, and then I created a variation of this card that it is more appropriate for using right now, “You got this!” Here’s a look at the invitation:

"Hey Hello" Invitation and Variation by Wendy Sue Anderson for @PebblesInc.

I just love the cute hedgehog on the background patterned paper and that little raccoon is absolutely darling! I chose to use mostly black and white so the bits of color would really pop! Here’s the variation on the invitation:

And just to show you how easy this card is, I’m sharing a quick photo tutorial, so please, follow along!! Here are the items you’ll need:

"Hey Hello" Invitation and Variation by Wendy Sue Anderson for @PebblesInc.

Start by placing the hedgehog paper on the card base.

The next step is optional, but i think it adds a really special touch. Use a sewing machine and white thread to stitch around the square piece.

Place the square piece on the card, about 1″ from the bottom.

Add the piece cut from one of the branding strips:

Add the other patterned paper strip directly above the branding strip:

Next, add the sticker greeting – I love these stickers, the sentiments are perfect, the font is classic, and they are super sticky!

Add foam adhesive squares to the back of the critter. You can use the printed die-cut OR the sticker! Place him on the card front.

Complete the card by placing the two cute heart stickers in the corner of the stitched square. I used foam adhesive squares behind one of the hearts.

"Hey Hello" Invitation and Variation by Wendy Sue Anderson for @PebblesInc.

See how easy that was! Now you can make a dozen with all kinds of different sentiments. Some for now (that you can mail out to friends) and some for later (to be hand delivered and enjoyed when it’s safe to do so)!

Have you been making cards? We’d love to see what you’ve been up to!

Paper Flower Wreath with Terhi | Video Tutorial

Hey Friends!
It’s Terhi here with you sharing some very colourful spring inspiration.
I was getting ready to host a small party, just because of spring and the upcoming summer, but obviously all these social occasions are now moved to future. But nothing will stop be cheering out home with flowers and colors!
Come and take a look, there’s a video at the end of this post.

This wreath is about 16″ wide, and I love it so much! I do love making small things like mini albums, but sometimes it’s fun to go really BIG.

As you can see from the process video, all of the blooms are created in very simple way. Most of them are rolled flowers, which means I have cut them with my Silhouette and then rolled the paper and glued it down. Others are layered flowers and they are just as simple as the others.
And what’s more, you can do it all using scissors if you prefer.

After I had all the flowers prepared, I cut all the leaves too and started to think about the design on the black metal hoop.

Hot glue became me dearest friend during the creation! It’s so quick and easy way to adhere the paper blooms together! First I adhered all the flowers and then the leaves.

Here’s the process video to brighten up your day!

If you can’t see it here, here’s the link: http://youtu.be/eVg5BHxFVm0

Keep on crafting, it’s important during the times like this.
