Plan a Summer Party for the Girls!

Even though it’s raining outside my window today, I know summer is coming…eventually! Instead of being sad because the weather is gloomy, I’m choosing to plan for the sunny days ahead by planning a fun little summertime party for the girls! I used the “Chasing Adventures” collection to whip up a few fun party elements! Here’s a look at the entire set:

I started by creating the fun “summer” banner.

I used my Silhouette machine to cut the background banners and the letters.

The rectangles were cut with a metal die, then I used multiple colors of thread to stitch around the edges with my sewing machine.

To finish it off, I added printed die cuts and stickers to embellish each banner, then strung it all together with yellow twine!

I made these cute little favor bags by cutting a shape with my digital die-cutting machine. Each bag was then embellished with cute tags cut from one of the patterned papers in the collection. These cute bags are the perfect size to fill with a little treat or gift! I’m thinking some chocolates and nail polish would be a fun summer-ish gift!

What’s a party without cupcakes? It’s easy to dress up beautiful cupcakes purchased from a favorite bakery (these were from Sweet Tooth Fairy – YUM!). I simply glued the cute girl printed die-cuts onto sucker sticks, then placed them in the center. The wraps were simply cut from patterned papers with the Silhouette – easy peasy!

And, of course, after eating those delicious cupcakes, we might need a little drink. These water bottles were easy to dress up by wrapping a strip of patterned paper over the labels. And the straws are extra cute now – wrapped with washi tape and embellished with a fun little printed die-cut!

Whether you’re already experiencing summertime temperatures, or you’re dreaming of sunny days ahead, don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate with your girls! Happy summer!!

Sunshine Card Set with Video Tutorial

Hello all! Terhi here, hoping you all are having sunshine in your day today! I’m sharing some sunshine for you with my card set I made using ‘Oh Summertime!’ collection. To show you how I created these, I recorded a process video – see it in the end of this post.

To be more specific of what these cards are, I’d describe them as a treat bag tags mixed with cards. I got the idea to make the set of cards/tags when I was starting to plan some kind of gift to our children teachers this spring. Something handmade for sure, but also fun and colourful!

The treat bags I used, Homemade with Love Treat Bag Kit – Day Dream, are perfect to go with Oh Summertime! collection. They can be filled with any sweets of course, but also with anything else. How about some seeds to plant and grow beautiful flowers? Don’t let your imagination stop you.

As you can see, I didn’t add any large sentiments. Instead, I let the big circle shaped element speak loudly, wishing warm and sunny days, and thought to write my greetings to the back side.

To add more depth and interest to the cards I layered paper, paper and glitter die cut ephemera and fussy cut elements together. The result is fun-looking and very detailed!

This kind of project is super quick to do, and also quite simple. No need for tools in addition to scissors!

Take a look to the video here. If you can’t see the video, follow this link: Sunshine Card Set for Pebbles.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit here! See you soon again!

It’s A Girl!

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. Our theme this week has been party invites. Since I am helping to plan a baby shower for my nephew and his new wife who are expecting a girl, I decided to go with a baby shower theme. The Pebbles Loves Me collection was perfect with all those pretty pink pattern papers and cute die cut ephemera pieces and stickers. I found this cute umbrella bag digital cut file at SVGcuts and could not wait to make these. They are going to look so fabulous on tables at the baby shower! I could fill them with snacks. They would also be awesome as small gift bags.

Each umbrella is created from two different pattern papers. They are not full umbrellas, rather the back is flat. This left space for me to stamp “It’s A Girl!” and then embellish with die cuts and stickers. Each one is different.

There are adorable sloths adorning the handles of each umbrella as well as bows.

Don’t pack your Loves Me collection away just yet … Valentines Day is over, but this collection can do double duty for baby girls, Easter, Mother’s Day and so much more!

Hi everyone.  Heather Leopard is here sharing a Christmas surprise idea with you.  I made some Christmas treats for my “sweets”. My sweet girls that is and it was so fun to make these and to watch the delight my girls had wondering and discovering what was inside.

I’ll step you through how I made these but I’ll be back next week with the process video I created so you can see it come together in action!

It might be a little hard to tell but these treat bags are bursting at the seams with Christmas chocolates!  These can be used as party favors, advent or just fun little treats for your friends, family and even co-workers. The great thing is that they are really easy to make if you have a pair of scissors or die cutting machine, glue and a few embellishments.

Let’s take a look at how I assembled the Christmas tree. I used my Silhouette CAMEO but you could easily hand cut these.  Either way, you need two identical cut trees. Easy, right?

Next, add brads from the embellished brads set. Alternatively, you can use die cuts, glitter, enamel dots but these brads are just so awesome.  I love the color variations and the gold rim around them.

Next, Starting at the widest part of the tree, which is the bottom, glue the bottom and the edges together until you have a large pocket.  Once dry, fill it with candies. Repeat until you are at the top and your tree is completely filled.

Here’s an example of a treat bag embellished with die cuts.  Simply adhere the die cut with strong liquid adhesive and set aside to dry.

Set them out as a surprise treat for the special people in your life.  They have no idea what’s inside and it’s so fun to watch them open their surprise.

Beware, they will want to open them all!  You could also add in different candies or other small items you think your friends and family will enjoy!

Check back next week for the process video I filmed while creating these Christmas treats for my sweets!

Can you believe that Christmas is only 50 (FIFTY!!) days away?  I’m already in full Christmas-prep mode, and one of my first projects is these cute mini Christmas Treat Bags I made with the brand new “Cozy & Bright” collection!  They are so cute and easy – keep reading to see how you can whip up a batch yourself!Mini Christmas Treat Bags by Wendy Sue Anderson featuring the "Cozy & Bright" collection by @PebblesInc.

Start by choosing a favorite treat bag cut file (THIS is the one I used) and a fun patterned paper.

After cutting the shape, score it along the fold lines:

And use a strong adhesive to secure the sides.

You can fill it up now, or wait and add the treats later.

Embellish the bag with a fun tag.  Start with the printed “Cozy & Bright” tag page and cut out your favorites:

Cut out a tag shape from a coordinating patterned paper to layer:

Next, punch a hole in the top of the tags:

And add a coordinating brad through the holes to attach them together.

You can stop here, or continue embellishing the tag with additional layers.  Of course, I usually choose to add more!  I found a coordinating printed die-cut shape (the same image as the printed tag).

I used foam adhesive squares to layer the die-cut directly over the printed snowman:

Add I couldn’t resist finding a way to add one of these darling little puffy sticker candy canes:

I attached the finished tag to the front of the gift bag to complete my project:

I repeated the process several times to make more treat bags.

Here’s one with a cute toadstool house:

A silly holiday sloth:

A sweet reindeer:

And, of course, the big guy himself:

These little bags are so quick and easy and cute, they would be easy to make in bulk for neighbor gifts, classroom treats, or coworker surprises. I think you could whip up 25 of them and make a darling little advent/countdown ’til Christmas project too!  I’d love to see what YOU do with this fun idea for making mini Christmas treat bags !

Merry 50 days until Christmas to all!
