We’ve started to see photos on Facebook and Instagram of your kids and grand kids celebrating Thanksgiving at home and school. We’ve loved seeing all of the fun headgear that typically accompanies this particular holiday.

With the current feather and tribal trend, when would be a better time than this Thanksgiving to dress your kids (or yourself!) with one of these? Especially when our beautiful paper from Pebbles are screaming to be cut into feathers?

First thing first, let’s make the headband. Cut paper to 3.5” wide with the length you need. (I left mine at 12”.) Score at 1” and 2-1/4” as shown:

Fold the 1” side to the center; then fold the other side down.

Punch holes on each end; thread ribbon.

Diecut feather from paper of your choice. I stapled mine to the middle and hid the staple behind a button.

Fall Thank You Cards

With Halloween nearly a week behind us, we’ve really and truly moved on. We’re in the midst of sharing our gratitude with you and today’s page layout by Design Team Member Tiffany Hood. 

This layout is in honor of my dear grandmother. She is so sweet to me and is one of the most important people in my life. Her health has been failing, and she has been on my mind a lot lately.  


I thought that the “Front Porch” collection was perfect to do a beautiful layout about her. Just look at the details.

Paper Leaf Gratitude Garland

If you’ve followed Pebbles for any amount of time, you’re probably well aware of our love for banners and garlands. Today, we’re showcasing a fantastic paper leaf gratitude garland put together by Amanda Coleman, from Popper and Mimi. 

In an effort to foster a spirit of gratitude in our home this holiday season, I created a gratitude leaf garland to display in the house during the month of November.


Making a paper leaf garland is easy and only requires paper and twine.  I chose patterns and colors that fit within a fall inspired color palette. 

Every day, have each family member write down something they are thankful for and add it to the garland. By the end of November, this entire garland will be filled with the things we are grateful for. 


Since there are four members in my family, die cut 120 paper leaves, which is enough to carry us through the entire month of November.  Choose your favorite leaf dies and get cranking!  

I used a variety of dies from the Silhouette store to cut maple, oak, ginkgo, and birch leaves, among others. If you don’t have a die cutting machine, cut simple leaves by hand for an equally stunning effect.  




Give Thanks Wall Decor

We’re moving into November and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a fun Thanksgiving wall decor project. 

For my project this month I wanted to move away from the scrapbook page and card box that I tend to put myself in and created a home decor item. 

I started with a Silhoette wreath shape which I cut on my Cameo using a few of the papers from the Front Porch collection. I cut the wreath shape and saying from cardstock and mounted that on patterned paper. 


After cutting the leaves on my diecutting machine I bent them to give more dimension to the shape and adhered them to the circle wreath shape. 


I continued layering these until achieving the desired look. I now have a fun, seasonal piece of artwork that is now hanging in my living room!
