We’ve started to see photos on Facebook and Instagram of your kids and grand kids celebrating Thanksgiving at home and school. We’ve loved seeing all of the fun headgear that typically accompanies this particular holiday.
Of course, not every child has the opportunity to create something in their school Today, Design Team Member Nina Yang is here with a quick and easy DIY feather headband tutorial.
DIY Feather Headband
With the current feather and tribal trend, when would be a better time than this Thanksgiving to dress your kids (or yourself!) with one of these? Especially when our beautiful paper from Pebbles are screaming to be cut into feathers?
First thing first, let’s make the headband. Cut paper to 3.5” wide with the length you need. (I left mine at 12”.) Score at 1” and 2-1/4” as shown:
Fold the 1” side to the center; then fold the other side down.
Punch holes on each end; thread ribbon.
Diecut feather from paper of your choice. I stapled mine to the middle and hid the staple behind a button.
There you have it! Easy, right? Hope that you are inspired to create one!
