Easter Egg Fights with Marcia

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. I am sharing an Easter layout with you today created with the Pebble’s Loves Me collection as well as the Chasing Adventures collection. I love the floral patterns in the Loves Me collection. They work perfectly for Spring projects too. It’s definitely not just another Valentine’s Day collection. I wanted to use green pattern paper too though. In Spring everything becomes green again. I found just what I needed in the Chasing Adventures collection; a light green polka dot pattern as well as a darker green plaid pattern. I used the pattern papers to fill in the negative space in a gorgeous floral cut file as well as the inside of my alphas in my title.

When my extended family gathers for Easter, it’s a tradition for us to hold an Easter egg fight tournament. I created a large EASTER title to span my page. Then I used a script font to complete the title. I love combining fonts to make my titles more interesting and dramatic. I added a bird from the Loves Me ephemera pack and a few punched butterflies as well.

Backing cut files with pattern papers is a fabulous way to use up paper scraps. I added some foam tape behind the cut file to pop it up from the background paper.

What a beautiful way to use scraps, don’t you think! Have a great week.

Quick and Easy St. Patrick’s Day Letterboard Project

When the March wind starts blowing, it seems all thoughts turn to green, rainbows, and lots of luck! I’m not really a believer in “luck” per say, but I do believe that if you work hard, good things will happen! So that’s the thought I wanted to share when I updated our letterboard for March!

I always like to add a little something extra to my monthly letterboards – so this month I opted to add a little rainbow-ish banner to keep up the March vibe! It was super quick and easy and anyone could whip it up in a matter of minutes! Here’s the quick step-by-step! Start by cutting out enough triangle banners to span your letterboard and enough rainbow hearts for each banner piece.

Add foam adhesive to the back of each heart.

Place each heart on it’s triangle banner.

Use baker’s twine (or whatever string you wish) to thread the banner together.

Add your favorite quote or sentiment to your letterboard – be sure to leave room at the top or the bottom for your banner.

Add the banner by securing the twine on the back side of the letterboard.

Now…get out there and work hard today so you can be “lucky” tomorrow!

Happy March, Happy St. Patrick’s Day, and Happy Almost-Spring!

A lovely layout with Guest, Caroli

Hello everyone! Caroli Schulz here, I am very excited and thankful for this opportunity to be a guest designer for Pebbles.
Today I want to share a simple layout I created using the beautiful Along the Way collection by Jen Hadfield. I love the colors and patterns of this collection, as well as the sweet and feminine details. It was perfect for using few pics of myself I’ve been hoarding for some time, waiting for the right collection.
In this layout, I went for a really clean and simple approach, but with few pretty details in order to make it special. My idea was to create some kind of wreath, and include half-cut circles on it. To start, I drew a few half circles on my page.

@papelisima is a wiz with die cuts and layers - we love how she transformed her white layout to a beautiful masterpiece with the @pebblesinc products!

Next, I used a cutter to actually cut the shapes I drew before; if you have an electronic cutting machine you can use it too for this purpose.

Now that all the halves of circles are cut, we will use a scoring tool and fold them; this way, we will have some kind of windows that can be filled with photos or patterned paper.

With this base, I created a layout with a wreath design, using some leaves I cut with my electronic cutting machine.

As a focal point, I created two embellishments clusters on the top left and bottom right of the page. I like to keep things balanced and symmetric.  Here you can see I filled one of the windows with a photo and used the sewing machine to stitch over it and add an extra detail to the cluster.

On the bottom cluster I also added a round shaped photo, and some more embellishments. Fussy cutting is my fave technique when it comes to embellishing, so I cut few flowers from the gorgeous patterned papers of this line.

I love simple pages but with lot of texture and volume, and this is exactly what I did here. The page looks fun but not overwhelming, don’t you think? I love the gold accents on the 3D embellishments of the Along The Way collection.
I completed the design with the title I cut with my electronic cutting machine and free font “Better Together” (you can download it from free on the internet), and my journaling. Something I love about scrapbooking, in addition to photos, is to journal about the specific memory i am documenting, so my pages always have lots of journaling

I really enjoyed working with Pebbles and hope you liked this idea and give it a try. If you have any questions, just let me know on a comment, or message me through my Instagram account @papelisima.

Thank you for spending time with us here, have a lovely day!

Capturing life along the way with Guest, Natalie

Hi friends! I am Natalie Dill and I’m THRILLED to be guest designing for Pebbles today!

I used the lovely new collection from Jen Hadfield called Along the Way to create this 8.5×11 layout about my sweet puppy girl.

@scrappinhappy we love all the elements you added to this darling page featuring your fur baby! Thanks for being a guest at @pebblesinc!

The base kraft paper is actually from the Pebbles Cozy & Bright 12×12 paper pad. I sewed it to a white background paper using a zig zag border stitch. The 6×8 Along the Way patterned paper pad is perfection when creating an 8.5×11 layout! Cutting lengths of the patterned paper down the 8 inch side in different widths built my middle layer strip. I used a lacy paper punch for the border strip on that yummy pink piece, and I popped up my photo with some adhesive foam for added dimension.

I picked some of my favorite ephemera pieces from the icon and phrases packs to embellish, and I chose pieces with black on each to tie them together from top to bottom.

I love allowing a bit of the die cut to come off the page. It will stick out the protector a bit, but adds great interest! I used some gold and black sprays for splatter and a gold wax seal for mixed media embellishing.

I loved using this soft, homey collection to document my dog in her napping element. The sentiments are great for documenting your home life and cozy moments!

Thanks for having me, Pebbles!
