Hello everyone! I’m Eva Pizarro and today I have a fun tutorial to share with you. I love to find new uses for my tools and looking at the Banner Board Punch by WRMK I immediately thought I could use it to make a pie box for my next picnic.
Start by scoring a 6 x 12 inch of paper at 1.5 inches.
Place your paper on your Banner Punch Board with the scoring on the upper side and cut your paper from the scored line to the tip of the banner. To make the pie box bigger, I cut placing my cutting tool on the guide but with the blade facing the outside. You will not be able to cut the tip of the triangle but that’s ok. Just use your scissors to cut a straight line.
This is what your paper will look like once you take it off your board.
Put your paper on your Banner Punch Board again and slide it to the 7 inch guide. Now you are going to score the paper following the guides of your board.
Bend your guide lines and cut your paper corners this way.
Bend your corners and assemble your pie box.
Once you glue your pieces, trim the rest of the paper.
And this is your finished pie box! It has a 1.5 inch height so you can use it for different sized pies or cakes.
Use some wax paper to protect the inside and tie it with some twine.
I also did other things to embellish my picinc!
I wrapped my sandwich in a piece of patterned paper and used some twine to tie it.
I embellished a paper bag and filled it with chips.
And because I knew it was going to be sunny and hot outside I also made a little paper fan with some cardstock shapes and a flattened paper straw.
Nothing like a cute picnic basket to brighten your day.
I hope you liked this little tutorial and that you can enjoy these sunny days with your loved ones.
