DIY Fall Party Favors

Hi friends, Becki here. Who is excited for Fall? I, for one, can’t wait! I adore everything about Fall. I had so much fun playing with the Woodland Forest collection to create these awesome DIY Fall Party Favors. Who wouldn’t love to receive one of these adorable pumpkin boxes at a Fall party?

I created these DIY Fall Party Favors with the brand new Woodland Forest collection. I love all things Fall/Autumn themed so this one was a fast favorite for me. I used my electronic die cut machine to die cut all the pieces for this project. It was super easy. It only took me about 10 minutes to cut all of the pieces out.

They’re so easy to assemble. I only used one small dot of adhesive on each box. to adhere the two pieces of patterned paper together. Easy peasy! At the top of each box I tied a bit of twine around the handle (with the leaf and tag) as the finishing touch.

On the leaf on each party favor I added a rubber shape and on each tag I added a small phrase sticker. By adding the rubber shape and the sticker each party favor is unique. How fun is it that each guest will get a unique little party favor.

The base of the party favors all have the orange polka dot patterned paper. Then, I cut the inside piece with a more bold colorful patterned paper. You could easily cut the bases out of the same orange polka dot patterned paper and make these Halloween party favors. Wouldn’t that be cute?!?!?

Summer Party Invitations

Hi friends, Becki here, to share with you a set of Summer party invitations that I created. I used supplies from the Everyday collection and the Spring Fling collection. These Summer party invitations were SO easy to create. All it took to pull these together was a few scraps of patterned paper, Thickers, and a couple of die cuts.

Becki Adams_Summer Party Invitation Set_1

I used Thickers for both of the sentiments on these cards. Thickers make card sentiments SO easy. On the first card I chose the “You’re invited” sentiment and one small die cut.

Becki Adams_Summer Party Invitation Set_2

The gold foiled thickers from the Spring Fling collection are awesome! They coordinated with the gold foiling on the die cut perfectly.

Becki Adams_Summer Party Invitation Set_3

On the second card I created, I combined two kinds of Thickers. Once again, I only used a couple of die cuts for embellishments.

Becki Adams_Summer Party Invitation Set_4

You’ll notice that the “e” in lets is actually an upside down “3”. I love stretching my Thickers stash and making the letters/numbers work for my needs. I think my letter/number swap worked perfectly. I don’t think anyone (except you and me) will never know that I had to switch things up.

I can’t wait to send the cute invitations out for our next Summer party. Are you creating invitations for your Summer parties? I’d love to see what you’re creating. Thanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog today. I’ll see you again soon!

Firecracker Bubbles Quick Gift

Hello everyone!  Amanda here today.  I can’t think of anything more iconic on the Fourth of July than fireworks.  Most of us wait all year long eagerly awaiting the spectacle as we sit with our family on a blanket.  Bring fireworks indoors or to a party by creating these delightfully simple firecracker gifts.

Not only are these festive holiday firecrackers super fun all on their own, they hide a special gift inside.  Any guesses?  They  come together in a snap and would make fun party favors or home decor.

Bubbles!  Who doesn’t like bubbles in the summertime?  I thought my kids, ages 9 and 12, would be indifferent but they couldn’t wait to get their hands on these bubbles.  Simply push the bubbles up from the bottom of the paper tube like a push pop.

Top each firecracker with a fringed paper spray.  They are seriously one of the most fun things I have made in a while and they are take no time at all.

Each bottle of bubbles is wrapped with a piece of patterned paper or two.  Cut the paper to size depending on the size of your bubble container.  Measure the diameter for the top after you have wrapped your bubbles with a strip of paper.  Use a piece of regular ol’ white copy paper to make the fringe.

Punch or cut a circle that is the same diameter as your tube and adhere to the top of the bubbles container.  This makes the firecracker look complete while still giving you access to your bubbles.

Make the fringed paper spray by cutting fringe into a 8 1/2″ x 3″ piece of plain white copy paper.  Fringe scissors will make this task go super quickly, but a pair of regular scissors will work just as great.  Apply adhesive to the end of the strip before rolling up your fringe.  Starting at one end, roll your fringe into a single bundle.

At first, your fringed paper spray will look stiff and boring.  Create gentle curls in your fringe by gently pulling the fringe between your thumb and a ruler just like you would use scissors to curl gift ribbon.

Adhere the fringed paper sprays to the top of the firecracker with a glue dot and they’re ready for the party! Have a fun and safe Fourth of July!

PB_Americana_CreativeSample_3

Cut a six inch circle for the larger firecrackers, four inch circles for the medium firecrackers and so forth. After cutting your circle, cut a slice out of the circle as if you are cutting a slice of pie.
