New Year, New Me

Hey all!
It’s Terhi here. Before going to my scrapbook layout, I need to make sure you saw the post here from yesterday? New releases are here!
I can’t wait to see all!

This layout is made with Happy Cake Day. As you can see, as good as it is with making cards it’s also perfect for scrapbooking.

The layout tells about my thoughts, goals and ideas for the year 2020. I don’t do New Year’s resolutions as such, but I like to think and dream all that I might see and do during the new year.
As many times before, I’ve written the journaling to the backside of the layout this time too. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to see anything other than the text! Scrapbook layouts I do for myself about myself are always going to separate album, which is like a huge diary for me.
Now that I have written my goals and thoughts down, I can go back and see how it all went after this year is over.

I created the layout with only couple patterned papers and few embellishments. The rolled flowers are always a good idea, as they give so much depth for the layout. And surely the green leaves goes well with the flowers.

As there’s quite much height difference between the background and rolled flowers, I added couple strings of thick cotton thread to make it look better. This is also a reason why I used more foam dots than glue.

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing a new layout using the Merry Little Christmas collection and a cut file from Paige Evans. I snapped this photo of my daughter and her best friend a few years ago. They were just so pretty with their pink cheeks from the cold air.

I started off by stitching some of the snowflakes on the cut file. I also used a snowflake punch to add more on my layout.

I added some ephemera and sayings in addition to my title. I love to layer on my layouts.

I love how bold the red background is with the white cut file and embellishments!

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout using the Merry Little Christmas collection. Christmas is coming so fast! I love this time of year, my house is all cozy and festive! I’m taking every chance I get to get some time in my scraproom and play with all my new Christmas goodies.

I don’t know if it’s just me but I always want all the Christmas collections. It just puts me in a good mood when I use them. I used a cut file from Cut To You on this layout. I backed the candies in christmas colors.

This photo of my son cracks me up. I’m sure it took him weeks to eat that lollipop. There were too many colors in the photo so I just changed it to black and white, leaving the colors in the lollipop so it would match my papers.

Christmas collections are so easy to work with. Everything matches!

Merry Little Christmas with Terhi

Hello Pebbles Fans, it’s Terhi here with another cheerful Christmas layout.
Just as I told you in my previous post (link here), I’m super excited about the upcoming holiday time. As I can’t be decorating and preparing our home for Christmas, I’ve been focusing on Christmas scrapbooking which I’ve usually almost skipped for numerous reasons.

After the last layout I made, I had all the Merry Little Christmas leftovers laying on the table and I couldn’t stop myself from creating another. To make this layout much more dimensional, I created the lovely layered flowers.

Both the flowers and the wreath are cut with my electronic cutting machine, and as usual I’ve picked the cut files free from charge from the endless world of internet. I guess the flowers aren’t anything like poinsettias, but the color scheme will keep the layout tightly on the Christmas theme.

After cutting the petals were attached to each other. This time I chose to use foam dots instead of glue to give the flowers as much dimension as possible. I also used my fingers to curl, wrinkle and fold the petals to give them a good and pretty look.

Finally I finished the layout with couple of embellishments, and by adding the title on the photograph.

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. If you live in the United States, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. But now that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is getting all my attention! I like to scrapbook some of the Christmas card photos I get from family, like this one of my daughter and her great pyrenees dog who love playing in the snow. The Merry Little Christmas collection was perfect to use! I love the fun patterns and colors. For this photo, I pulled more of the snowy embellishments, not the Christmas ones. I love how versatile this collection is.

I used a digital cut file for my title Tis The Season, and backed it with a variety of pattern papers and colors. This is a great way to use up scraps of paper. I attached these mittens to my title and added a little bow. The title was then placed on a big snowflake.

I love finding adorable die cut ephemera pieces like this girl wearing a red coat. Since my daughter was also wearing a red coat, I had to use it on this layout. I matted my photo with two different green pattern papers and tore the bottom edge so I could see the white core. The white edges remind me of snowbanks. Take a look at the dimension foam tape gives too.

One of my favorite things about this collection are the tags, like this Happy Holidays tag. These tags would make amazing quick and easy cards too. For this snowy scene, I added some dimension with some stickers and foam dots. Behind the tag you can see two of the washi tapes I layered on the background. There are so many embellishment options with this collection!
