Hello Pebbles Fans, Holly here from Ribbons & Glue. February is only a few days away  now which means it’s almost Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s crafts are some of my favorite crafts to make. Every year, I tend to add a few home decor pieces to my Valentine’s collection. This year I embellished a painted Valentine’s Canvas with epoxy stickers from the Pebbles Inc. We Go Together collection.

To make this Valentine’s Canvas, I painted an 8 x 8 canvas with chalky finish paints, then used my Silhouette to cut out a stencil to trace out the #14.

After my paints were dry, I embellished the canvas with We Go Together epoxy heart  and phrase stickers and red glitter foam stickers.  Aren’t those epoxy phrase stickers sooo cute?!

This embellished Valentine’s Canvas was a simple project to make  and shows how easy it is to incorporate Pebbles Inc We Go Together stickers into your Valentine’s DIY decor.

You can see how I painted  this Valentine’s Canvas with Americana Chalky Finish paints on my blog Ribbons & Glue.

Valentine’s Date Jar

Hi everyone! I’m Eva Pizarro and today I will show you how to make a cute date jar with the We go together collection from Pebbles. Me and my husband often want to do something fun in the evenings but we never know what to do! this jar is full of ideas and the best part is that you can put all the thing you would like to do together.

The first thing you have to do is cover the lid. I used some red washi tape, but you can paint it or maybe use some permanent ink.

To do the quilling hearts cut 6 inch long strips of paper and write what you want on the inside.

Bend them in half and curl the edges inside until you reach the middle section.

Decorate your jar and include a tag with a legend. I used pink strips for dinner ideas, red for dinner plus an activity and teal for stay at home dates.

2015 Birthday Card Organizer

Hi Pebbles Friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a fun (and super easy) idea for organizing birthday cards for the coming year.  I guess I’m still a little caught up in the whole “fresh start,” “clean,” and  “organize everything” bug that seems to come around every year about this time. 😉  Seriously though, I’m really excited about this little project – it’s going to help me plan ahead and organize birthday cards for the entire year ahead!

It’s always more fun to work on organization projects with a friend, so today, we’re going to make one of these fun projects together!  Run and grab your Silhouette and purchase this cut file (here) – it’s called “a2 vertical card & envelope organizer”.  I cut mine out of kraft cardstock.  I cut the other pieces to cover the box from one of my favorite papers in the “Home+Made” collection.

After you’ve cut your pieces, fold along the scored lines.  Use a strong adhesive to build the box!

See how easy that was?!?  Now that the box is assembled, let’s make the monthly dividers.  I started by cutting the circles from kraft cardstock (the circles are part of the cut file).

And then I cut 12 of the divider pages.  There are three different tab top styles in the cut file – I cut four of each since I needed 12. I used some of the papers from the “Home+Made” 6×6 pad, and a few of them I cut from the full-size papers in the same collection.

Next, we need to choose thickers to add the letters for each of the months.  I opted for these pretty gold ones:

Now simply glue the circles onto the tabs of the dividers:

This is coming together quickly, isn’t it?  Now we need a way to add a list of birthdays to the front of each divider.  At first I was just going to print out a list and glue it to the front…but then I decided that I just had to use these sweet pocket tags!

I enlisted the help of my nieces and nephews and had them write their names under their birthday month – including the day.  Sure, I could have done this myself, but it just happened that we were getting together for a family party and I thought it would be fun to have them include their handwriting in my little project.  A few of them got extra helpful and filled out more than their own…but that’s okay! 😉

These little lists tuck right into the pockets.  They will also be easy to update in the future:

The last step is to attach the tags to the dividers – super easy!!

At this point, I thought I was finished, but then I noticed this cute “happy birthday” tag on one of the patterned papers in the “happy day” collection, and I just HAD to add it to the front of the box!

And that’s it!  Thanks for creating along with me!  Now when I feel like sitting down to make a card, I will know exactly which birthday is coming up and who needs a card!  Of course, you could add other yearly events, like anniversaries, to your list.  And I think I might add an extra tab at the back to store “thank you” cards and all-occasion cards as well.  I love having this one little part of my life all organized for the year and I hope you do too!

Do-It-Yourself Memory Keeping System

Hi everyone!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, wishing you all a Happy New Year!!  I don’t know about you, but I feel like everywhere I look on the internet lately, I am seeing posts and projects and memories focusing on “The Best of 2014.”  Everyone seems to have a “Top 10 (fill in the blank) of 2014,” something or other to share.  Everyone, that is, except me.  You see, even with all of my good intentions of documenting the year, I have fallen short.  Very short.  Well, not this year.  This year I am already looking forward to “looking back” at 2015!  I’ve got a system all set up and I’m ready to go.  Today I’d love to share my simple idea with you – you can set it up in an hour or two, and we can enjoy the process all year long – and then, in 12 short months, we can join in with everyone else as we write our blog posts featuring “The best of 2015!”

Here’s a look at my system, featuring the very appropriately named “Happy Day” collection:

First of all, I created a “to do” list of sorts.  I simply cut one of the “To do” columns from the “Weekend” paper.  The idea behind this piece of my system is to create a “bucket-list” of sorts with my family.  We’re going to sit down together (or separately) and create a list of things we’d like to do this year.  They can be big things (like “go to Disneyland” or little things like “celebrate my birthday with chocolate cake” – anything is fair game – as long as it’s something we want to remember).  Now I’m not fool enough to think I’m going to remember to take my nice camera to document each and every memory.  I’m also not naive enough to think that my teenagers won’t do some of the items on the list without me.  However, I am wise enough to know that with four smart phones in the house, it’s likely that someone will take a picture of everything.  With 3 instagram accounts between all of us, I’m just going to ask my kids to join me in adding the hashtag #AFM2015 (Anderson Family Memories 2015) to our memory photos…then I plan on making a printing a fun little book at the end of the year.

I loved the “insta-awesome” sticker in this collection, and had to add it to the bottom of my list!

There’s something about a handwritten thought, or memory, that I just treasure.  That’s why I created the next part of my system.  It’s super simple…just a quick little pocket, created with a 6×6 paper folded in half and embellished, filled with strips of paper.

The idea here is that we can write down things we want to remember – things that made us happy, things that made us think, things that changed us…anything we want to remember – whether there’s a photo to go along with it or not.  The slips of paper aren’t very big (1″ x 6″), so this won’t be an in-depth novel, but it will be enough to help us recall special moments.

Finally, this simple little embellished mason jar can hold some of our special memories.

We can fold up those little slips of paper and drop them in.  We can also add other things – ticket stubs, little photos, anything that will fit inside is fair game.

I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store for my little family and I look forward to sitting together a year from now while we reminisce and talk about all of our favorite moments and memories together!  I hope you’ll join me as I “look forward to looking back!”
