Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new project to share using the Merry Little Christmas collection. As I was walking through my local dollar store the other day, I came across these 12×12 canvases and thought how perfect for a paper project!

This was such a fun and simple project to make. I used beautiful papers from this collection with a cut file from Lori Whitlock. Look how cute that truck is with the hearts paper!

I used some 3D squares to pop up a few of the embellishments to add some more dimension.

This was really a quick project but I love how it turned out. I can’t wait to display it in my house!

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Treat Bags

Hey everyone it’s Michelle here today sharing a fun and easy Halloween project. I don’t get many trick or treaters at my house so I wanted to do something special for the few that do come. I found these cute little treat bag cut files in the Silhouette store. They were just what I was looking for!

These bags took no time at all to make. It probably took me longer to figure out what papers to use than to actually make them. I used the This is Family and Chasing Adventure collections on these.

I love that floral black and white paper for the witch’s hat!

My daughter told me my pumpkin looked like an orange. lol It’s still cute though!

I think this one is my favorite. I love that purple bow!

I can’t wait to fill these with little treats!

Thanks for stopping by!

This is Family Notebooks with Terhi

Hey, who loves notebooks? I do!
It’s Terhi here today, and I want to share you how easy it is to turn patterned papers to your favourite notebooks. All the papers and embellishments I used to create these notebooks are from This is Family line.

I’m the kind of person who love lists and notes. My purse is always filled with notes, notebooks etc. It doesn’t matter if I ever read them or not, I just love writing things down and seeing pretty things while I’m on the go. That’s why I wanted to learn how to use patterned papers for this habit of mine. I found lots of ideas and after trying couple different techniques myself, I decided that the easier the process is the better the notebooks are.

The process for these notebooks couldn’t be easier! Just take couple sheets of “office paper” or any other paper you want to have inside as pages. Cut them to the size you wish to have each spread, then fold them half.
Choose a patterned paper for the cover, cut it slightly bigger or same size as the pages inside and fold it half, too.
My notebooks are sized about 3,5″ x 6,5″.

Then, choose a sewing machine or hand stitching.
With a sewing machine, go ahead and sew the notebook tightly together using the folding as your guide. Sew the line couple of times to make a firm notebook and pretty details!
If you choose hand stitching as I did, pierce small holes (for example with Pink Paislee Book Binding tool) to the pages and to the cover, then simply stitch the book together tightly.

Decorate the cover as you want or leave it as it is.
When you feel ready, add the notebook to your purse with a pencil and you’re ready to rock!

Have a crafty day!
Terhi xx

DIY Autumn Wreath

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing a new project using the This Is Family collection. This is one of my favorite Pebbles collection ever. The colors are absolutely gorgeous. When I saw the mustard yellow paper, I immediately thought of sunflowers. I found a beautiful sunflower cut file in the silhouette store. I started off my project by cutting out 3 of them.

I wasn’t quite sure what to do with them after they were cut out, but then I saw this wooden hoop I had in my scraproom and I knew I had to make a wreath. I cut out some leaves and twigs from the Silhouette store, The Cut Shoppe, and JustNick studio. I didn’t really have a plan, I just cut out a whole bunch and started sticking them to my wreath.

I really love all the layers and dimension it created. I even curled the sunflower petals a little bit to add some extra.

I finished it by added a greeting from the phrase thickers. This was a fun project to make. I can’t wait for fall to display this in my house.

Thanks for stopping by!

DIY Paper Birdhouses

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a fun new project using the beautiful This is Family collection and some cut files from the silhouette store.

I wanted to make something different with this collection. When I saw the birdhouse cut files I knew this collection would be perfect for them.

I tried to choose more neutral patterns for 2 of them because I didn’t want it to be too busy. I think this pink one is my favorite. I like how the stripes are vertical on the front and back, and horizontal on the sides.

I wanted one of them to have a fun pattern. I absolutely love florals so I choose this beautiful multi colored paper for this one.

The copper thickers were the perfect accent to add to these birdhouses. I really like how they turned out. And they were so easy to make!
