Oversized Ornament Tags

Well hello friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a quick and easy last-minute Christmas craft! When my kids were little, I started making oversized tags to designate stockings so dear old Santa didn’t get confused when he tiptoed into our family room during the night. I thought it might help him out if he could locate the stocking (with each child’s name), then place the stocking next to the gifts for that child. I think Santa appreciated my help, because it can sure get confusing for an old guy to keep everyone straight! 😉 Here’s a peek at the tags I made for old St. Nick this year:

I just love the Merry Little Christmas collection and knew I wanted to use it for the tags this year. Each tag is about 5″ in size – so large enough to be easy to see, but small enough that I could fit all four on one sheet of paper – win/win. Here’s a quick step-by-step photo set to show you how I made these!

First, here are the pieces. An ornament shape (about 5″), a coordinating circle, slightly smaller, a banner, the child’s name (I cut mine with my Silhouette from white cardstock, but you could also use letter stickers!), and anything you might want to use for embellishment – I chose a printed die-cut, and some gold holly berries and leaves (thickers) :

Start with the ornament shape:

Add the slightly smaller circle:

Now add the banner shape – I used foam squares to attach my banner because I love the little bit of dimension it adds:

Now is the time to add the name over the banner:

Add embellishments now! Start with the coordinating printed die-cut:

Complete the tag by adding a bit of shimmer! These gold puffy holly berries and leaves are perfect:

Now old Mr. Claus will be sure to give the correct gifts to each kiddo!! Here’s a closer look at all four completed tags:

December Mini Album

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today with a mini album I created to document my December. I don’t do December daily albums, but like a more scaled back approach. It allows me to document my life without the pressure of having to come up with something new every single day!

My mini album is approximately 5″x7″ and created in much the same way as my previous travel journals. This one however has a pretty gold ribbon to tie it shut. Here is a closer look at my cover…

The Merry Little Christmas collection has so many fabulous embellishments; ephemera die cuts, stickers, thickers … plus the most festive pattern papers. Inside I altered photo mats with 3″x4″ journal cards.

I love the look of transparent pages embellished with digital cut files. This FaLaLa tree is available at JustNick Studios.

I love the gingerbread ephemera and stickers in this collection. On these pages, I added a cut file gingerbread house border from Paige Taylor Evans that is available in the Silhouette store.

Here is a second transparent page, this time with a wreath cut from 3 different green cardstock shades. This cut file is available from JustNick Studios as well. You can also see snowflake flourishes on the previous page. The snowflake cut file is available in the Silhouette store.

The wreath will eventually frame the photo I add on the wintery page following.

Here is the back cover… I was having so much fun, I couldn’t help but decorate the back cover too. The Joy card is another JustNick Studio digital cut file.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great December. Maybe you would like to try to make a December mini album to document your special days too.

Hello everyone! It’s Eva on the blog today, sharing a quick tutorial on how to create quick and easy mini cards during this holiday season.

create quick and easy handmade cards during this holiday season with this tutorial from @evapizarrov using the new Merry Little Christmas line from @pebblesinc

This cards are very easy to create and they are perfect to accompany a gift or to give to your guests during christmas dinner.

To create them, start by layering strips of washi tape on a 2,5 inch square card.

Fill the entire card and trim the excess. You can do this with strips of patterned paper too but washi tape is great if you are making them in bulk!

Next, decorate the front of the card with a die cut. I used 3d foam dots to glue the die cut and I love the look!

The final touch is to add a tag on the side of the card. These stickers are perfect because you only need a package for all your cards. You can glue the sticker on some cardstock or put some baby powder on the back to remove the sticky part.

Using your Crop a Dile, make a small hole on top and tie the tag with some red twine.

Create some envelopes with the Mini Envelope Punch Board and the lovely papers from the Merry Little Christmas line.

Merry Little Christmas Cards

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. Christmas cards may seem a little old fashion, but receiving one in the mail delights me so much. There is just something more tangible to a real card versus receiving an electronic greeting. There is still time to create some Christmas cards to send out to your favorite people too. I have a few ideas to share with you today using the festive Merry Little Christmas collection.

To aid in the creative process, I like to sort my die cut ephemera pieces into categories. For these cards, I had Winter scene and Santa Claus piles. Then I start looking for coordinating pattern paper. For this card I cut the 3×4 journal card with the card sentiment from a sheet of pattern paper, adhered it to some white cardstock and added a border.

Sometimes the pattern paper reminds me of a digital cut file that I have. This cut file is from JustNick Studios.

This card too was created with one of the 3×4 journal cards cut from a sheet of pattern paper. This time I adhered it to some fun banners I cut out with my Jen Hadfield Banner Punch Board.

I couldn’t resist making a little winter scene on this card using the tiny stickers. They are so fun to add a little dimension. I almost made this a shaker card. Wouldn’t that have been fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Christmas is 2 weeks away so go make some cards to mail!!

Christmas Candy

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout using the Merry Little Christmas collection. Christmas is coming so fast! I love this time of year, my house is all cozy and festive! I’m taking every chance I get to get some time in my scraproom and play with all my new Christmas goodies.

I don’t know if it’s just me but I always want all the Christmas collections. It just puts me in a good mood when I use them. I used a cut file from Cut To You on this layout. I backed the candies in christmas colors.

This photo of my son cracks me up. I’m sure it took him weeks to eat that lollipop. There were too many colors in the photo so I just changed it to black and white, leaving the colors in the lollipop so it would match my papers.

Christmas collections are so easy to work with. Everything matches!

Thanks for stopping by!
