Happy Thursday! We’re nearing the end of our handmade card week. It’s been fun sharing all of the great cards our design team has created, as well of some of your own creations over on Facebook.

While we’re chatting about this week’s happenings, it’s probably a good time to remind you that tomorrow’s the last day to enter to win our cardmaker’s gift pack.

Today resident cardmaking expert, Kathy Martin, is sharing a couple of fun handmade cards using two of our newer collections – From Me to You and Thirty-One.

From Me to You

Feeling under the weather can make a person quite blue, so sending get well cards that lift the spirits and put a smile on one’s face is important.

I love that the new From Me to You collection with all the colorful patterns and adorable accents for uplifting get well greetings.

From Me to You – Ring Ring (732261)

From Me to You – Phrases and Accent Stickers (732271)

October 31

Mixing and matching patterned papers can be tricky because you don’t want them to blend together too much. Creating distinction between patterns can be achieved by using contrasting colors as I did in my October 31 card.

You can also use a dark colored card stock to separate patterns like I did on the Fell Better Soon design.

October 31 Supplies:
Thirty One – Hocus Pocus (732291)
Thirty One – Eerie (732300)
Thirty One – Phrase and Accent Stickers (732304)
Thirty One – Decorative Tags (732308)

Handmade Everyday Card {From Me to You}

Up today, we’re sharing a fun card from Design Team Member Laurel Seabrook. Laurel’s handmade everyday card featuring the From Me to You collection would be great for pretty nearly any occasion.

I was glad to finally break into my From Me to You collection as I just love the soft pretty color combination and am such a sucker for anything ‘officey’ themed.

I gravitated towards the letter themed chipboard and then built a just because card around the theme of it.

Lately I am also loving the mix of gray and use it on many of my projects.

Supplies:
From Me to You Cardmaking Pad (732286)
From Me to You Chips (732281)
From Me to You Phrase and Accent Stickers (732272)
From Me to You Clothes Pins (732279)

Handmade Thank You Card {From Me to You}

There’s nothing more special than a thoughtful handwritten thank you card…It goes along way in our mostly electronic world.

Today Design Team Member Becky Williams is sharing a handmade thank you card in celebration of World Card Making Week.

There aren’t many things sweeter than a handmade card or gift from a friend. I created this card to have on hand to share with a friend or loved one for a special occasion or even just to tell someone how much they are appreciated.

I used lots of layers on this card starting with the card base, then a library pocket and frame and then topped it off with a die-cut butterfly. The gold trim was just the right accent to finish with.

I allowed both the butterfly and paper strips to fall off the edge of the card for added visual interest.

Supplies:
From Me To You Card Making Pad 2 (732286)
From Me To You Picture Frame Hang Tags (732283)
From Me To You Library Pockets (732277)
From Me To You Chips Printed Chipboard Shapes (732281)
From Me To You Phrase & Accent Stickers (732271)

If you popped in yesterday, you’re aware that we’re celebrating handmade cards this week in on of World Cardmaking Day this coming Saturday.

We’re kicking off our handmade card series with a share from Design Team Member Eva Pizarro.

When I saw the frames from the From Me To You collection I knew I wanted to use them to make some shaker boxes. I also loved the little envelopes and decided to make little cards because the size was perfect! I used the gold rub-ons to include my sentiment and filled my shaker boxes with sequins.

Supplies:
FROM ME TO YOU CARDMAKING PAD (732286)
FROM ME TO YOU CARDSTOCK STICKERS (732271)
FROM ME TO YOU RUB-ONS (732273)
FROM ME TO YOU PHOTO FRAME HANG TAGS (732283)
FROM ME TO YOU MINI ENVELOPES (732284)
BASICS MINI CLOTHES PINS (732279)

Today’s creative card design is shared by Design Team Member Kim Jeffress. It’s a great inspiration piece and we can’t think of a better way to use this beautiful collection.

From Me to You Handmade Friendship Card

I wanted to create a meaningful card to give to my best friend ‘just because’. I chose to use the new ‘Front Porch’ collection, because I love the color and pattern combinations.

I used my machine to add some stitching along one edge of pattern paper.

Front Porch- Snuggle
