Hi friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing my favorite tip for making a big set of birthday cards – hint: assembly line!!

Watch how easy it is to create a half dozen cards in a jiffy!

Start by cutting the background. These papers are 4″ wide and 5 1/4″ tall.

The next layer is this fun text paper, cut at 4″ wide and
3 3/4″ tall. I centered each piece (eyeballing the center – no measurements here)!

Next, I cut a few different tear strips to 4″ wide and placed them on the top and bottom of each blue piece.

Now cut red patterned papers to 2 1/2″ x 4″ and white birthday text paper to 1 1/2″ x 4″. Add one of each to every card, tilting slightly in opposite directions.

Now we’re going to put one of my favorite, and most versatile papers, to work! Cut apart the tags from this fun paper!

Punch out the holes and tie baker’s twine through each one. Add a puffy sticker or two for interest and dimension!

Now the card tops are complete and the final step is to place each one onto a white cardstock card base! The final cards measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

I made a set of 6 cards, but you could easily make an entire dozen almost as quickly! Here’s a closer look at each of the six cards:

It’s easy to put together an entire set of cards, and having a fun collection like this one makes it extra fun!

Hello friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today and I’m excited to share a layout with you! I created this colorful birthday layout with the “Happy Cake Day” collection.

I cut several tags from the full sheet of fun tags. Two of them are layered and tucked in the top left corner. I also added a die-cut cupcake, a “yay” banner, and some fun puffy sprinkles!

The other two tags are tucked in the bottom right corner. I also added a die-cut banner “Hooray for today!!!,” some more puffy sticker sprinkles, and some numbers for the year.

Birthday Cards with 4 Things

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. This week we were challenged to create a project using only 4 things. I decided to create a set of birthday cards. It seems I am always in need of one and the new This Is Family collection had fun ephemera die cuts that were perfect for birthdays. My 4 things are paper, a cut file, ephemera die cuts, and a sentiment stamp.

Some of my favorite die cut ephemera pieces from the This Is Family collection are the bears riding bicycles. They are too cute! They add a fun, whimsical feel to this card set. This first card I am sharing didn’t need a stamped sentiment. That Happy Birthday banner is one of the die cut ephemera pieces.

By keeping the design relatively the same, these cards came together pretty fast. I only had to choose which papers I wanted to use. I love that the This Is Family collection has colors suitable for boys and girls.

and Mamas and Papas.

Would you love to receive one of these?

3 Item Project Challenge

Well, hello Pebbles friends! Guess what? I was issued a challenge to create a project using only 3 items…and it was so much fun! I recently received the “Big Top Dreams” collection and I knew it would be perfect to make little party favors for an upcoming movie night the kids are hosting! Here’s the project I created – keep reading for more details about the three products I chose and how I used them!

Here are the three products I chose for each treat bag: Patterned Paper, 3×4 Cards, Printed Die-Cuts.

I used my Silhouette to cut the bag shapes (design ID 45731), but you can use any fun bag cut file or even find a tutorial online for folding your own.

After cutting and assembling the bag, I cut out the 3×4 cards. I did choose to matte each card with coordinating cardstock scraps (I didn’t count these scraps as part of my 3 products).

After attaching the 3×4 cards to the fronts of the bags, I used foam adhesive dots to attach a fun printed die-cut shape to each bag front.

Because I limited the products and didn’t go crazy with embellishing, these bags were super quick and easy to put together! I have about 12 more to create, and I’m sure it won’t take more than 30 minutes after the bags are cut!

That’s all there is to it! I filled each bag with popcorn and tied them closed with some string – easy peasy – and they will be super cut sitting out, all lined up, for the movie party! Any guesses which movie we’ll be watching??

Summer Birthday Cards

Happy almost-summer, Pebbles friends! I don’t know about you, but it seems like as soon as the final school bell rings, the birthday parties begin! Summer seems to be filled with birthday celebrations for both family and friends, so it’s always nice to have a stash of summertime birthday cards ready to go! I had so much fun working with the “Oh Summertime” collection to whip up a set of cards to add to my stash!

Summer Birthday Card Set by Wendy Sue Anderson featuring the "Summertime" collection by @PebblesInc.

I created both cards using the same steps, but with different papers. I started by cutting out the word “Birthday” from solid red and yellow papers.

Next, I cut a coordinating 2×2 square for each card, from the page filled with fun and colorful images and words.

I layered the printed 2×2 square with additional 2×2 squares I cut from other coordinating papers.

I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use the awesome shaker stickers on these cards!

With a few simple additions, like tying a white string and matting with a coordinating solid, these cards were quick and easy to create!

I hope you’re inspired to check out the “Oh Summertime” collection! Have fun stocking up your stash of summer themed birthday cards!
