4th of July Gift Idea

Hi friends, Becki here, with a quick 4th of July Gift idea. This would be a great hostess gift for a 4th of July picnic or bbq. It took me about 15 minutes to put this gift together. I gathered supplies from several Pebbles collections and some chocolate Rolo candies.

4th of July gift idea by @jbckadams Becki Adams for @PebblesincI started by measuring the dark brown portion of the Rolos wrapper (I wanted to leave the gold foiled ends uncovered).

4th of July gift idea by @jbckadams Becki Adams for @PebblesincI used a tag from the Cottage Living collection as the base. I added some Thickers (Cottage Living collection), a rub on (Birthday Wishes collection), and a gold dot sticker (Cottage Living collection).  I finished the tag by stitching the Thickers into place with some gold thread.

Father’s Day Gift Idea

Welcome to the Pebbles blog! Becki here to share with you an easy Father’s Day Gift Idea. What dad doesn’t love a six pack of his favorite drink? I created a cute tag to go along with my Father’s Day Gift – a six pack of “pop”.

Father's Day Gift Idea created by @jbckadams for @Pebblesinc

This Father’s Day Gift was so easy to put together with a die set from the Cottage Living collection and a few supplies from the new Fun in the Sun collection.

Father's Day Gift Idea created by @jbckadams for @Pebblesinc

I started by using the die set to cut some frames and a few other basic shapes from a piece of patterned paper.

Then I adhered the frame to a piece of lined patterned paper and added some Thickers as part of the sentiment.

Then I cut around the frame with a pair of sharp scissors and finished the sentiment with my hand writing. I added a layered sticker to the corner of the frame.

I punched a hole in the corner of the tag and threaded some twine through the hole.

I attached this to the six pack of pop with a ribbon and tied the tag to the ribbon.

Summer Cutlery Holder

Hello Pebbles’ fans, I’m Eva Pizarro and today I want to show you an easy way to add some color and summer feel to your barbecue or buffet table.

I love to entertain and for me a great meal is accompanied by great table decorations. They need to be beautiful but also practical. This cutlery holder combines the two fabulously. You can put it on your buffet table and your guests can take everything they need to have a great meal!

Here’s what you need:

  • papers and embellishments from the Fun in the Collection
  • an empty can
  • paper napkins
  • paper straws
  • cutlery

Cutlery Holder made by @evapizarrov with the #FunInTheSun collection by @pebblesinc

Start by wrapping your can with your patterned paper.

Glue some chips from the Fun in The Sun collection to your paper straws. Because they are made of paper, you can use your glue gun to adhere them to the can. Using hot glue will make it so the embellishments will not detach with heat or sunshine.

Next, you’ll wrap your cutlery and straw with the paper napkins and add a little piece of paper in the middle to keep everything together.

After that, you get to embellish your can! I used some dies and chips from the Fun In The Sun line. I love those striped alphas – they add so much color to your projects!

And here’s your finished project! Now all you have to do is put it on the table and let your guests enjoy!

Teacher's Gift Box by Mendi Yoshikawa using the #HomeGrown collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

It’s Mendi here today with a quick and easy gift idea for the special teachers in your child’s life.  I love creating handmade gifts for my own kid’s teachers and I thought the Wooden Recipe Box from Pebbles Homemade collection was the perfect object to alter for this fun present.

I think personalizing gifts with the Teacher’s name is always a nice touch and it was easy to achieve this using the darling foam thickers from the Homegrown collection.  I adore mixing my fonts and THIS cutting file was the perfect way to achieve this.  I think it’s pretty cool that it covers all the acronyms you might need.

The colors in Pebbles Homegrown collection are a perfect fit for a school themed project.  I love how well the colors compliment the school supplies that I added to my box and it’s a wonderful bonus that a basic box like this is able to serve so many different purposes from a recipe box to a phone/address box to a basic container to hold a multitude of different office supplies.

Teacher's Gift Box by Mendi Yoshikawa using the #HomeGrown collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

To embellish my gift box I created a simple 3-D bow using a tool you might already have in your stash:  The Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers!  I have included simple instructions below with a step-by-step picture tutorial.

Teacher's Gift Box by Mendi Yoshikawa using the #HomeGrown collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

Step 1:  Cut (2) 6″ x 1″ strips.  Line up the strip at the 3-inch mark on the punch board and punch notches from both sides of each strip.

Step 2:  Adhere two sides of bow (wrong sides together) with liquid adhesive.  This acts as a lining for your bow as well as adding stiffness to maintain it’s shape.

(Note: You can also reverse step 1 & 2 punching out the center after the 2 strips are adhered together).

Step 3:  Line up the center of the bow at the 3-inch mark, punching each side on both ends.

Step 4:  Gently curl each end toward the center.  I used a pencil to gently curl it.

Step 5:  Adhere the ends in the center with a bit of liquid adhesive or hot glue.  I chose to staple the center afterwards for extra stability.

Step 6:  Cut a 4.25″ x 1″ strip for the ribbon tails.  Center the strip in the punch and notch each end as shown.

Step 7:  Line the strip at the 2-1/8″ mark and notch each side of the ribbon tail in the center.

Step 8:  Add liquid adhesive or hot glue to center of bow and adhere bow portion to ribbon tail.

Step 9:  Thread twine through button using an embroidery needle, add a bit of glue to center of button and wrap button & twine around center of bow, knotting on the back.

Step 10:  Use finished 3-D bow to embellish your favorite DIY or Home Decor project.

I hope I’ve inspired you to try this quick and easy gift!  The 3-D paper bows are so much fun to make!

Garden Gift Containers

Happy April! Amanda here today with a quick and easy gift for the green thumbs in your life. Hopefully most of you have dug your way out of the snow by now and are ready to get your garden going. Share the garden love with your friends and family by giving a garden-themed gift container.

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionGarden gift containers are inexpensive and come together in a snap. Start with a cute container, your favorite Pebbles patterned paper, and some seeds. For added gift giving flair, add a hand tool (or two) and a pair of garden gloves. This little watering can is super adorable, but an upcycled tin can would be just as lovely (and earth friendly).

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionCreating a theme for the garden gift containers makes it extra fun. Gather seeds that make a fun collection such as salad, salsa, or an herb garden. Embellish the seed packets with a cute label and pretty garden-themed sticker.

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionMake a cute garden label by fussy cutting one of the frames from the Gallery Wall paper from the Cottage Living collection. If your handwriting stinks like mine does, choose your favorite font and print directly on the labels.

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionI wrapped the container with paper ribbon from the Happy Day collection and tied a pretty bow with jute baker’s twine.

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionThe 3×4″ Picture Punch from We R Memory Keepers is perfect for creating seed packets. No measuring and no cutting makes creating seed packets super easy. Choose your favorite patterned papers and punch away! Each seed packet requires only two 3×4″ cards.

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionCreate the seed packets by stapling two 3×4″ cards together at the top and bottom. Next, fold the seed packet in half and tuck in between the paper.  No fuss whatsoever.

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionChoose a cute font and print labels on patterned paper. Die cut the labels using this cute banner die from the Cottage Living collection. Adhere the labels to the seed packets and add a cute sticker.

Garden Gift Containers by @popperandmimi using @pebblesinc Home Grown collectionIn an even bigger crunch for time, or have a lot of gifts to make?  Simply put a few seed packets into a small bucket  (shredded paper optional) and add a label.  Quick, easy, and sure to bring a smile! Happy planting!
Amanda
