• How long have you been scrapping? What drew you to scrapbooking/paper crafting/card making? I have been scrapping for 4 years now. I started after the birth of my daughter, Amber. I always loved to collect and take tons of photos, write long (travel) journals and include all kinds of “souvenirs” from paper napkins to entrance tickets. I had never heard of scrapbooking. When I went back to work after Amber was born, I walked around with my photos of my first baby. I showed them to everyone! My coworker’s son was 3 and I asked her if she still carried pictures of him to work. She smiled and pulled out the most beautiful mini album. I never saw something like that. Fell in love with scrapbooking right then and there. Loved the patterned papers and the pretty embellishments. I scrapbook because it makes me happy. I love the process and love to get my hands on creative stuff after a hard day of work. I also love to create a legacy for my children. Hope that they will love their albums as much as I loved making them.

• What inspires you? When do you like to scrapbook? I get my inspiration from everything around me. Whether that’s colors, smells, nature, commercials on tv or in magazines.. and my kids of course 🙂 I love to scrapbook at home, alone. I am not that great at croppin with my friends because I end up yapping about scrapbooking in stead of creating 😉

• Describe your style in 3 words/short phrases. Messy, Shabby chic, Romantic.

• Favorite Pebbles product/collection? My favorite product??? I am in love with patterned paper.. so I guess that’s it.. (allthough I find the preglittered chipboard brilliant and droolworthy) Collection? Do I have to choose?! I can’t … urgh.. uhmmm… “So Tweet!”

• Favorite sweet treat? Chocolate!!

• Favorite place to travel or where would you like to travel? I love to travel to Pula/Croatia…the most beautiful place in the world (as far as I have seen)…would love to see Kathmandu one day!

• Were you named after anyone? Unfortunately yes…lol…I was named after this French singer that was very popular around the time I was born. My parents loved the name. I wasn’t so proud of it because she was extremely dull. The name is ok I guess although non-French speaking people have a lot of trouble pronouncing it. It sounds a lot like “Mariah” (who is a singer that is less dull ;D)

• How long have you been scrapping? What drew you to scrapbooking/paper crafting/card making? I have been scrapping for nine years. Once I became a Mom, I wanted to find a creative way to document my family’s lives. I walked into a scrapbook store for an album, and fell in love with the possibilities!

• What inspires you? When do you like to scrapbook? I am inspired by my photos and the story I want to tell, the seasons, and my best friend! Sometimes, it could be just be a new paper line! I enjoy scrapbooking after my children are in bed. I love scrapbooking late at night, when it is peaceful and quiet.

• How long have you been scrapping? What drew you to scrapbooking/paper crafting/card making? I began scrapbooking in autumn of 2007. The reason for having begun scrapbooking is for recording the growth of my daughter.

• What inspires you? Where do you like to scrapbook? I am inspired by my family, friends, music and scenery. Of course, I am also inspired by great scrapbooking materials and products. I mainly work at my desk or living area. I love to create while listening to music.

• Describe your style in 3 words/short phrases. Traditional, layers, inking (journaling)

• Favorite Pebbles product/collection? This is a very difficult question! If I am forced to choose one, I like Skipping Along.

• Favorite place to travel or where would you like to travel? Traveling is my favorite. I have only traveled within my country, Japan. I like the southern island and the sea.

• Were you named after anyone? My name is Akiko Kuroki, aka “Akilia.” Akilia was attached from the favorite figure skater Ilia Kulik of my name and me.

• How long have you been scrapping? What drew you to scrapbooking/paper crafting/card making? Why scrapbooking/paper crafting card making? I have been scrapping since 2001 as I wanted to be able to preserve the memories for my wedding and honeymoon (although now, I am no longer married). I really wanted a creative way to be able to save my memories, as I have an art background and when I found scrapping, I thought what a great way to save my memories! I started out with Creative Memories and soon found magazines like Creating Keepsakes and Scrapbooks, Etc. I loved the artistic look and knew I found a new love and hobby!

• What inspires you? Where do you like to scrapbook? Things that inspire me are scrapping communities and being able to see other’s work, the scrapping magazines and I LOVE looking through sketches, ads, and challenges which really help me to think outside of the box at times and really get the creative juices going. I scrap in the room I have designated as my scrap room. All of my supplies, my computer and my inspiration starts there.

• Describe your style in 3 words/short phrases. Eclectic, Artistic, Ever changing and versatile.

• Favorite Pebbles product/collection? I have too many! If I have to choose though, I would say the So Tweet line and Pebbles chip! I love my chips!!!

• Favorite sweet treat? Dairy Queen Ice Cream Blizzards (especially cookie dough and oreo, yum!)

• Favorite place to travel or where would you like to travel? My favorite place to travel is Florida for Disney World, and I am currently saving to take my son, parents and my sister’s family within the next year!

• Were you named after anyone? I was sort of named after my dad. (I can’t believe I am going to admit this in public, LOL!) I was supposed to be a boy, and named Kevin Carroll, however, as you can tell, I am a girl, so my mom and dad didn’t have a name picked out for me. My dad was joking with my mom, and said “My middle name is Dean, let’s name her after me! Deanna!” and hence, here I am Deanna!

• How long have you been scrapping? What drew you to scrapbooking/paper crafting/card making? Why scrapbooking/paper crafting card making? Since 2001, so that’s like 8 years, has it really been that long? Time sure does fly when you are having fun. Feel like I’m part of the Scrapping furniture…lol

• What inspires you? Where do you like to scrapbook? My family and everyday life…I could say, that I have this beautiful PINK studio all decked out in the fanciest finery to store all my scrapping stash, wishful dreaming here. Alas I share a basement den with hubby, who plays PC games (more noise coming from there than anything else) and my 2 sweet princesses have their play area too. You probably wonder how can you still create among the chaos, I think having them around makes my mojo sing.

• Describe your style in 3 words/short phrases. Simple and clean. Attention to detail.
Let my MOJO mood swing, then you see all styles from me!

• Favorite Pebbles product/collection? How can I choose a fav they are all delicious, ok if you insist… Lil’ Miss, only cause I have 2 cutey little girls.

• Favorite sweet treat? Doves Dark Chocolate, thanks to a friend who got me hooked on them from the US. We don’t have them in our country!

• Favorite place to travel or where would you like to travel? My dream has certainly been the US, which I really hope to one day. Only because I would like to come back home with a suitcase brimming over with scrapping stash…wink wink

• Were you named after anyone? What can I say…my Dad took a liking to Miss Sophia Loren, who am I to argue with him.
