Capturing life along the way with Guest, Natalie

Hi friends! I am Natalie Dill and I’m THRILLED to be guest designing for Pebbles today!

I used the lovely new collection from Jen Hadfield called Along the Way to create this 8.5×11 layout about my sweet puppy girl.

@scrappinhappy we love all the elements you added to this darling page featuring your fur baby! Thanks for being a guest at @pebblesinc!

The base kraft paper is actually from the Pebbles Cozy & Bright 12×12 paper pad. I sewed it to a white background paper using a zig zag border stitch. The 6×8 Along the Way patterned paper pad is perfection when creating an 8.5×11 layout! Cutting lengths of the patterned paper down the 8 inch side in different widths built my middle layer strip. I used a lacy paper punch for the border strip on that yummy pink piece, and I popped up my photo with some adhesive foam for added dimension.

@scrappinhappy we love all the elements you added to this darling page featuring your fur baby! Thanks for being a guest at @pebblesinc!

I picked some of my favorite ephemera pieces from the icon and phrases packs to embellish, and I chose pieces with black on each to tie them together from top to bottom.

I love allowing a bit of the die cut to come off the page. It will stick out the protector a bit, but adds great interest! I used some gold and black sprays for splatter and a gold wax seal for mixed media embellishing.

@scrappinhappy we love all the elements you added to this darling page featuring your fur baby! Thanks for being a guest at @pebblesinc!

I loved using this soft, homey collection to document my dog in her napping element. The sentiments are great for documenting your home life and cozy moments!

Thanks for having me, Pebbles!

Hello Pebbles friends, I am very happy to present you my first tutorial on this blog. It is for a mini calendar – perfect at the beginning of the year, right?

@dejolieschoses18 is on the blog with us today- and her calendar tutorial is too cute for words! @pebblesinc is blessed by her creativity!

The first step is to cut three pieces of cardboard according to the diagram below and assemble them to form the base.

@dejolieschoses18 is on the blog with us today- and her calendar tutorial is too cute for words! @pebblesinc is blessed by her creativity!

Then we will have to create our pages for the inside of the calendar. You can do it yourself with a word processor or print the file I made.

To assemble my calendar, I used my cinch but you can do it using two classic rings.

To decorate my pages, I stuck a circle in the center and I added decorations. I used several collections to match each month.

A day in the life with Guest Designer, Anna

I’m Anna Edman, one of the January Guest Designers. Today I’ll show you a layout made with some 6” papers and ephemera from the collection My Bright Life.

@mavvek makes beautiful layouts with @pebblesinc paper, don't you think?? Love the layers!

I often start my process by picking some papers and embellishments that match the photo. In the end, some things may not be used and something else has appeared. As my son was in the kitchen, I had to use the cute paper with kitchen utensils.

I trimmed down the patterned papers to the size I wanted to have and placed the ephemera pieces. The placement of the ephemera is a ongoing process and I adjust them until they are adhered.

I adhered the papers and did some machine stitching on them to get some texture. After that, I adhered the ephemera and the title, Doris, which is the name of the dog.

I like to build up layers and add some more texture to my projects, so I often adhere some pieces with foam tape and add some sewing thread underneath.

A day in the flowers with Guest Designer Michelle!

Hey everyone, Michelle Gallant here and I’m so excited to be a guest designer at Pebbles this month!  I was asked to create a LO using any of the recent Pebbles collections.  Oh the possibilities!!!  I finally settled on a mix of Patio Party and Along the Way.  They are both such pretty collections and they compliment each other beautifully.

@mmgallant76 is up on the @pebblesinc blog today with a darling floral layout! Be sure to check out all the little details!!

I love to fussy cut my patterned papers, so I’m always looking for papers with big florals.  For this LO I used the Bouquets paper from the Patio Party collection.   I fussy cut a little more than half of it and added the flowers to this cut file from Paige Evans.

I like to add a lot of sayings and quotes to my LO.  These little stickers make it so easy to do so.

Phrase thickers are my favorite thing.  I don’t even know how I managed to title my LO’s before these were invented.  These gold ones are so pretty!

I just had to add this little cutie to my LO!  She matches my daughter with her blue dress.  How cute is she?

Here’s a closer look at the fussy cut flowers.  I really like the texture it creates when they are layered.

Thank You Cards with Yvette, our guest designer!

Hello everyone!  My name is Yvette Weber and I am so excited to be a guest on the Pebbles blog today.  With the holiday just behind us, I decided to make a couple of thank you cards to share with you. It’s such a wonderful way to say thank you, for all of the amazing gifts you got!
For my first card, I started by drawing a isosceles triangle to use as an outline for my Christmas tree.
I had an idea to create a Christmas tree using circles…the beautiful patterns and colors in the Cozy and Bright collection were absolutely perfect for this.
I needed my circles to be very small, so I used a 3/4 inch circle punch to punch several circles from the patterned papers I selected…
Next, I started gluing the circles in place, starting from the bottom and making sure to slightly overlap each one as I worked my way to the top.
Here’s a look at the finish tree!

To give the illusion that the tree is lit up, I added a bit of yellow paint. Stitched around the perimeter and then adhered it another layer of patterned paper.

A fussy cut flower was used as a tree topper and I couldn’t resist using those adorable gingerbread boy/girl die-cuts to embellish my card. To finish the card off, I added a stamped sentiment and some enamel dots.

For the second card, I combined patterned papers from Merry Merry and Cozy and Bright collections to create a grid design.

I start by cutting my patterned paper into four rectangles (2 1/2 x 1 5/8)

Use a white gel pen and a ruler to add some faux stitching to each of the rectangles.

Next, I use a decorative die-cut with some vellum to add another layer to my card.

Embellish with a few die-cut pieces from the Cozy and Bright collection.

Add a stamped sentiment as well as a piece of patterned paper to the inside of the envelope – I really love how this turned out!

If you have a photo of you or your loved one opening that gift, why not enclose a copy of it in your card!

I hope I inspired you today to create a few Holiday thank you cards….

Have a wonderful day!
