Hi everyone! I am so excited to introduce you to this week’s Guest Designer Jana Eubank. Let’s get to know Jana a little better …
Describe yourself in 3 words … Creative, Homebody, Procrastinator.
My guilty pleasure is … having my husband bring me home a giant fountain Diet Coke (with lime) and a chocolate bar from the gas station on his way home from work.
You’ll never find me without … my wedding ring. I feel unsettled and incomplete if I don’t have it on. I also have a slight obsession with my iPhone. I love that I can check my email from practically anywhere!
You might be surprised to know that I … never officially dated my husband. We were good friends in high school. Wrote letters to each other while he was living away from home for two years, and then got engaged two weeks after he returned home. I knew I had a good thing when I found it! We will celebrate our 15th Wedding Anniversary this coming January.
My least favorite chore is … Laundry . . . it is never-ending! Sigh!
I started scrapbooking in … high school when my mom came back from a home party and showed me what she had made. I was in a Photography class at the time and I thought it would be really fun to combine the two together. I became more seroius about it as I married my husband and was determined to record our family story from the very beginning. I treasure our family scrapbooks. I have a terrible memory and so I am grateful to enjoy a hobby that helps me remember our special times together while expressing myself creatively.
My favorite thing about this hobby is … being constantly amazed and inspired by what crafters around me are creating. What a treat to have the opportunity to interract with such innovative, creative souls!
If I were a Pebbles product I would be … Pebbles Patterned Paper. Colorful, happy, and spunky one minute, subtle and relaxed the next.
Jana created so many amazing projects for us including this adorable layout about her daughter’s school pajama party. Here’s what Jana had to say … “We have had an unusually wet Spring this year. Normally, my daughter’s preschool class celebrates the end of the year with a Water Party, but because of the bad weather they had to change it to a Pajama Party instead. It didn’t matter to my daughter she was excited as could be and spent two days picking out just the right pair of pajamas to wear to school. The “Sparkle” star paper of the Enchanted Collection was my jumping off point for this page. I repeated the star shape with punched accents around my page. The stars combined with a fluffy white cloud was the perfect way to enhance the Pajama Party theme I wanted to convey.”

Here’s what Jana had to say about her next project … “We have a bit of a technology obsession here in my family. My husband and I are attached to our iPhones while our kids like to bring their Nintendo DS game devices with them as we run errands in the car. On this particular day, I had to giggle at my girls when I peered into the family room and found all three of them immersed in their separate games. The castle embellishment from the Enchanted collection reminded me of the princess-y types of games that my girls like to play and enhanced these photos perfectly.”

This next layout made me smile as I have one little boy who is love with his own fluffy Pillow Pet and would love to be invited to this party! LOL Here’s what Jana had to say … “What better way to spend your day when you are a preschooler than hanging out with your Pillow Pet friends?! While her siblings are away at school during the day she gathers everyone’s pillow pets from around the house and throws, what she calls, “Pillow Pet Parties.” I used my Cricut Expression machine to recreate her fluffy friends. I love the way the Pebbles Felt Layered Embellishments repeat their cuddly texture on the page. And just like the Pebbles Dimensional Sticker states, when you’re four-years-old ‘Life is Good!'”

And finally Jana created this amazing layout about her daughter’s quest for the (student) presidency! Here’s what Jana had to say … “My daughter recently ran for student office and she used the movie “Up” as her campaign theme. I thought it would be fun to recreate the feeling of the movie on this scrapbook page by using the Cloud Nine paper from the Happy Go Lucky collection. I also decided to create a bouquet of balloons using my Cricut Expression machine and the cheery colors of the collection as a page accent. The vibe matches my daughter’s spunky personality perfectly and really helped me to pull this memory together on this layout. Good news! My daughter won and will be serving as 8th Grade President next year. We are so proud of her!”
