Do you know the quickest way to win an 8 year old’s heart? Three words – King Size Candybar. That they: don’t. have. to. share. 😉 Hi Friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a quick and easy birthday treat idea you can whip up in no time at all!

Whether you’re creating party favors, neighbor treats, special gifts for a class or team, or some fun “just because” treats, these quick and easy candy bar wraps are the perfect solution! Here’s a quick tutorial, just to demonstrate how easy they are to make! Start by cutting the wrapper from patterned paper (I used the “Happy Cake Day” collection for this project).

I used cut file # 44645 from the Silhouette store, but I had to resize it to fit the larger candy bars. After the wrapper is cut, fold along all the score lines.

Use a strong adhesive to secure the wrapper and slide in the candy bar.
(If you don’t have an electronic die cutting machine, you could also trim the paper and simple wrap around the candy. )

Use a pre-made white shipping tag or create your own simple white tag shape to fit over the front of the candy bar (approximately 2 1/2″ x 5″). Use foam adhesive square or other adhesive to add a printed die-cuts or two to the front of the tag.

Print a sentiment or greeting onto white cardstock. Cut into strips and notch on the right end. Punch a hole in the left end. Add this piece to the front of the tag, aligning the holes.

Now attach this entire piece to the front of the candy wrap – I like to use foam adhesive squares here too!

Next, tie a piece of colorful coordinating ribbon around the entire piece and tie through the tag holes on the front.

Now repeat the process as many times as you need – it’s quick and easy, and it’s sure to be a hit with the recipient!!

Welcome 2020 layout

Hello crafty friends, it’s Lucile! To begin I wish you a happy new year 2020, health, may your projects come true!
Today I find you for my first layout of 2020. I wanted to honor my family! I was fortunate to share the New Year’s Eve with my family and friends.

This page is made with the sublime new collection of Jen Hadfield “Hey! Hello”. I love it, I will be able to use it for lots of creations. These colors and patterns are beautiful!
This page is built vertically. The main element is the central strip where it is written 2020.

I started by cutting out my Silhouette Cameo “2020” in the center of my strip. I added a darker paper below so that my text is highlighted. Then I sewed around my numbers to add volume.

Then I added strips of torn paper to the sides of my strip. I love this technique, it allows you to break the too straight side of a page. I also cut flowers in a paper from the collection for a recall with the central element. I also added a paper clip at the bottom of my page.

Finally, I pasted my photos. I added cut flowers in a paper from the collection. Under the photo on the left I added the word “moments”. Then with my typewriter, I wrote a quote about the family.

I hope you enjoyed this page. I love this “Hey Hello” collection by Jen Hadfield! We meet very quickly for a new creation. See you soon and good creations!

Happy Cake Day

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. I have a birthday layout to share that I created with the new Pebbles Happy Cake Day collection. We all have birthdays (although some of us have stopped counting) so this collection is a must! I used it here to document my son’s first birthday celebration.

The inspiration for my design started with the 2×2 grid pattern paper. I cut the paper apart, choosing the squares I wanted for a boy’s layout. Then I arranged 9 squares in a grid on a piece of pattern paper. To reinforce the square design, I printed my photos as squares too and even machine stitched squares on my background and around some of the 2×2 square pattern paper pieces.

This collection has lots of ephemera die cuts. One of my favorites is this adorable sloth.

The birthday phrase stickers are another favorite. They are perfect for scrapbook layout titles. I layered a cupcake die cut over an adorable llama sticker here to draw attention to the title. To add a little dimension, this collection has adorable word bubble puffy stickers as well as puffy dot stickers. They add such a fun element!

One of my resolutions for this bright new year is to document some of the photos and memories that have been stacking up on my bookcase. The “This is Family” collection was a perfect match for documenting a photo taken a few years ago at my husband’s annual winter family party!

This collection has a huge array of colors and patterns, but I wanted to keep it simple, so I chose black and white with pops of yellow and orange from the papers and embellishments.

There is obviously a variety of “family” themed pieces in this collection so it worked great for my needs.

You’ll also spy a bit of machine stitching around the edges of the patterned papers – I just can’t help myself! It’s a fun way to add a bit of unexpected texture as well as a pop of color to a project.

Well, how about YOU? Do you have a stack of photos and memories waiting to be recorded and added to your albums? Why not start today? Grab a family photo and the “This is Family” collection and see what you can whip up! Your family will thank you!!

Hey everyone, Michelle here with a new layout to share using the Happy Cake Day collection and a cut file from Cut To You. I always made a big deal out of my kid’s birthdays. Friends, family, food, cake, gifts…. It’s only once a year so we have to celebrate right? The photographer in me always took a lot of photos too, this one of my daughter cracks me up. It’s the face of pure happiness!

I really wanted this layout to be bright and happy so I choose bright patterns to back my cut file with.

I also added a big title because everything else on this page was bold. I love using a white background with big and bright patterns!

Thanks for stopping by!
