Cardmaking with Peek-A-Boo You

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today with some adorable cards I created with the new Peek-A-Boo You collection. This collection is perfect for baby boys and girls.

Cardmaking is easy when you can cut journal cards from pattern paper as I did here. The card sentiment is already there for you so you don’t need stamps either. This first card uses just one pattern paper for the background. I used some metal dies to give this stork journal card a unique shape as well as for the doily I layered underneath. A pretty bow and some washi tape add a few more delicate details.

Cardmaking doesn’t need to be hard. For this card I picked two pattern papers that coordinated well together to create this card background and placed a journal card on top. I added a delicate butterfly to accent the card sentiment.

How about three pattern papers… I used two for the background and added a third for the scallop punched border. Some ribbon, butterflies, and sprigs of leaves are perfect for baby girl cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
~Marcia

Simple cards

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing some quick and easy cards using the This is Family collection and cut files from JustNick studio.

I always start my cards with a white base. Then I add to it. These came together pretty fast.

A cut file, greeting, stitching and a few puffy stickers is all it took to make these cards.

I love this bold blue background. Beautiful with the white cut file!

I used to be scared to make cards. The trick is to just keep them simple. No one will know these literally took 10 minutes to make!

Thanks for stopping by!

This is Family Notebooks with Terhi

Hey, who loves notebooks? I do!
It’s Terhi here today, and I want to share you how easy it is to turn patterned papers to your favourite notebooks. All the papers and embellishments I used to create these notebooks are from This is Family line.

I’m the kind of person who love lists and notes. My purse is always filled with notes, notebooks etc. It doesn’t matter if I ever read them or not, I just love writing things down and seeing pretty things while I’m on the go. That’s why I wanted to learn how to use patterned papers for this habit of mine. I found lots of ideas and after trying couple different techniques myself, I decided that the easier the process is the better the notebooks are.

The process for these notebooks couldn’t be easier! Just take couple sheets of “office paper” or any other paper you want to have inside as pages. Cut them to the size you wish to have each spread, then fold them half.
Choose a patterned paper for the cover, cut it slightly bigger or same size as the pages inside and fold it half, too.
My notebooks are sized about 3,5″ x 6,5″.

Then, choose a sewing machine or hand stitching.
With a sewing machine, go ahead and sew the notebook tightly together using the folding as your guide. Sew the line couple of times to make a firm notebook and pretty details!
If you choose hand stitching as I did, pierce small holes (for example with Pink Paislee Book Binding tool) to the pages and to the cover, then simply stitch the book together tightly.

Decorate the cover as you want or leave it as it is.
When you feel ready, add the notebook to your purse with a pencil and you’re ready to rock!

Have a crafty day!
Terhi xx
