Hi Pebbles friends! Mother’s Day is just around the corner – have you made a card yet? No? Well, I’ve got a quick and easy idea for you today! It’s Wendy Sue here today and I’d love to help inspire you to whip up a quick and easy card or two or three for a special mom or mother figure in your life!

Don’t let shaped cards intimidate you – they really are quite easy! Here’s a quick step-by-step photo tutorial to show you how I made these!

Step 1: Start by folding the card base (cardstock). Use a metal die (this is just one way to do it – you could also use a digital die-cutting machine or even trace a circle onto white cardstock and cut out with scissors) circle shape. Place the die onto the folded cardstock so the top of the die isn’t cutting the cardstock – this will leave room for the fold at the top of the card (or the side if you prefer):

Step 2: Cut a circle the same size from patterned paper:

Step 3: Tie a ribbon around the patterned paper and tie in a knot at the left side. I used a staple to secure the ribbon right in the center because I will be covering it soon.

Step 4: Tuck a printed die-cut under the ribbon on the right side of the patterned circle. Allow it to extend off the circle a bit.

Step 5: Now cut a smaller circle from a coordinating patterned paper. For this circle, choose a pattern that is less busy, or a smaller pattern scale. Use foam adhesive squares to attach it to the center of floral circle (covering the staple.

Step 6: Choose your favorite skinny thicker sticker to add the letters to spell out “MOM” on the small circle.

Step 7: Now you can choose to add a “MOM” next to the word. You could also opt to add additional flowers, stickers, or even center “MOM” and leave it alone. But I think these cute girls look like they could be fun young moms, so I’m adding them! 😉

Step 8: Attach the patterned circle to the card base! That’s it! Wasn’t it so easy?

Gift box for Mother’s Day

Hello crafty friends it’ Lucile ! Today I find you for a new creation. I suggest you make a gift box for Mother’s Day. I used the collection “Loves me” to realize my box. I love this collection and I think it’s perfect for Mother’s Day! This box will allow you to slip a small gift or a card for your mother. Of course you can adapt this idea to any occasion.

To begin, I cut all the pieces to build my box in cardboard. I then assembled them with framing tape. I strengthened it so that it is solid.

Then I created my drawer. I cut a half circle in the front to make it easier to open. I covered my entire box with a paper from the collection. I did the same for my drawer also covering the interior so that it looks nicer when it is opened. To cover my box I use double-sided tape and my fold, you can also use liquid glue if you prefer.

Finally I decorated the top of my box. I pasted a paper with 3D foams to add volume. Then I wrote “mother” in the center with the alphabet of the collection. I add stickers and ephemera on the side by putting them below and above the paper. Finally I added “happy day”.

All you have to do is slip a little present in the drawer! I hope that this idea of gift box will have pleased you, I will find you soon for a new creation!

Happy Glamper

Hello Pebbles friends! Marcia here today. The warmer weather has my family thinking about future camping trips. We love to pack up the car and drive to one of our favorite camping spots … or even explore a new place. With the glamping craze, I thought maybe I should be decorating our camper … so I decided I needed to make a wreath for the camper door. Here is what I came up with.

This wreath was super easy to make. It took 2.5 rolls of burlap and maybe 15 minutes! Here is a tutorial I found on YouTube to explain how to create this beautiful ruffle wreath. Well then I had to think about how to decorate my wreath. I found a svg design for the camper from SVGcuts. It’s a 3 dimensional camper complete with a lawn flamingo in the front! I made my camper using pattern papers from Jen Hadfield’s Chasing Adventures collection. The hiking girl standing in front is an extra nice touch…don’t you think?

Next I had to figure out how to attach the camper to the wreath. Since the camper is make out of paper I didn’t want to use wire and chance ripping the camper. I finally opted to glue the camper to a blackboard sign. Of course this left me space on the sign I had to decorate with vinyl. I found the cutest Happy Camper cut file in the Silhouette store. I love the trees and mountain scenery behind the camper.

The blackboard sign hangs from a wire at the top of my wreath. I also added a pretty pink bow too.

I love how this turned out. It will be so fun to see people’s reactions when they see this beauty on our camper door!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Where is your favorite place to go camping? I am always looking for a new adventure and would love to hear!

~Marcia

Beautiful Smile

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing a new summer LO using the Chasing Adventure collection. If you are all like me, you probably have so many more summer photos than any other photos. Because of that, I always love to buy lots of summer themed collections. The Chasing Adventure collection is so perfect with all the bright colors and florals!

I’ve said this before, but I absolutely love fussy cutting. Especially florals! I just had to cut out these gorgeous tropical flowers and leaves.

I cut out the whole 12×12 paper and placed all the flowers and leaves from corner to corner. I layered a lot of them to add extra dimension.

The black foam thickers were the perfect contrast to the bright colors of the papers. To finish I just added a frame, stitching and some splatters.

Thanks for stopping by!

Plan a Summer Party for the Girls!

Even though it’s raining outside my window today, I know summer is coming…eventually! Instead of being sad because the weather is gloomy, I’m choosing to plan for the sunny days ahead by planning a fun little summertime party for the girls! I used the “Chasing Adventures” collection to whip up a few fun party elements! Here’s a look at the entire set:

I started by creating the fun “summer” banner.

I used my Silhouette machine to cut the background banners and the letters.

The rectangles were cut with a metal die, then I used multiple colors of thread to stitch around the edges with my sewing machine.

To finish it off, I added printed die cuts and stickers to embellish each banner, then strung it all together with yellow twine!

I made these cute little favor bags by cutting a shape with my digital die-cutting machine. Each bag was then embellished with cute tags cut from one of the patterned papers in the collection. These cute bags are the perfect size to fill with a little treat or gift! I’m thinking some chocolates and nail polish would be a fun summer-ish gift!

What’s a party without cupcakes? It’s easy to dress up beautiful cupcakes purchased from a favorite bakery (these were from Sweet Tooth Fairy – YUM!). I simply glued the cute girl printed die-cuts onto sucker sticks, then placed them in the center. The wraps were simply cut from patterned papers with the Silhouette – easy peasy!

And, of course, after eating those delicious cupcakes, we might need a little drink. These water bottles were easy to dress up by wrapping a strip of patterned paper over the labels. And the straws are extra cute now – wrapped with washi tape and embellished with a fun little printed die-cut!

Whether you’re already experiencing summertime temperatures, or you’re dreaming of sunny days ahead, don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate with your girls! Happy summer!!
