Do you have fun Christmas traditions that you repeat every single year? The kind that don’t really need a lot of explanation? We do – and even though they don’t need a lot of words, I always have photos that I want to use to document our fun family time. Today I want to share the layout I created to document our traditional family Christmas Eve activities. The kids always get new pajamas and a movie or game…just a few of the fun things we all look forward to every December 24th!
Did you happen to see the cards I created recently with this collection (here)? I used a die to cut out the 3×4 cards, which left me with these strips:
As I started cleaning up my scraps from that project, I was going to toss these, but then I realized how they looked like cute little frames or filmstrips – so I tucked them away with a plan to use them on my next project!
Fast forward to today – and here we are – making my “next” project! I printed several photos 3″ x 4″ to use on my layout along with these strips (flipped over to the “b” side of the paper).
I started by placing the photos in the openings of the frames:
And then I placed the strips on a fun patterned background:
Next, I just started filling in the blanks – and assembling everything – with all of the amazing coordinating products in this collection, it was truly quick and easy!
Oh, see the word “EVE” in my title? It didn’t come that way on the Thicker sheet – but here’s a little peek at how I made it:
I took parts of these two words:
And I trimmed the “W” to make a “V” to create:
It’s fun to get creative and customize pieces to fit your needs!
Thanks for stopping by – I hope you take lots of photos this holiday season – and don’t forget to document them!!
Merry Christmas!
